  • thumbs up if you thought he was the voice behind the Naxx Boss

  • like this!

  • One Day I will have...

  • i love this studio i wish mines was like this this is the ultimate studio

  • Patch Werk is Atlanta's "Hit-Factory" for Hip-hop and has been a successful studio for over 17 years. This place is official and you will get the best sonically recorded music. SSL J 9000 ($1.3 console) is ONLY at Patch Werk Studios, they are the only studio in Atlanta that has one of these.

  • PatchWerk is the best!

  • Great video

  • Holy shit 1.3 mil

  • When will black people understand that the N word is negative energy, you just put out a negative ripple into the world. The Dalai Lama would tell you if you want to change the world for the better then be a more positive person, put out positive ripples rather than negative ones and watch the world change! Learn black men, learn, you destorying your own people using that word all the time!

  • @iLuvAkeys4ever wtf does this have to do with black people

  • @iLuvAkeys4ever I agree...

  • I been going to Patchwerks for years networking mostly.. But that spot is def official..

  • nice channel--cool, check our stuff bro, peace

  • Let me up in that muthafucka!!lol I'll have that SSL sweating like a stuck pig. And all that outboard gear gave me a chubby! I'll take a Neve 88RS or a API -LEGACY console. It's whateva!

  • hey guys I'm recording a hi def promo for these dudes and another up and coming artist at patchwerk it's gonna be sikk

  • WOW!! =]

2 inch tape is the shit.

    I love it.

All of my masters are on my external hard.

  • yo man,one day u be seen me in that studio, respect rasta

  • i got beats

  • get the SAME quality in my bedroom...

  • me too:P

  • Sick bro good man

  • 1.3 million dollerz for a frikin mixing desk

    wooaahh!!!!!!!!

  • haha if only i had that to spend i wouldn't blow it all on a mixer any size i would go with a DAW system with 16 real time analog channels and 500 digital... In its time that Mixing board was the shit now it prolly worth half of its original price (still a 500k board!)

  • This Recording Studios is the BEEZZZ NEEZZZ. cool.

  • Hey Iggypopster, both good points, but I thinks great recording studio gear is definately mandatory at that level of production imo.

  • ohh man what a studio!i really wanna record my songs on it .thankyou!

  • cool

  • Nice vid man. Thanks for the tour.

  • I like how some people need to mention how much things are costing in order to kind be validated. I mean, we see the big fat ass console, the size of the studio, the artists that recorded there and so on... Don't need to specify that the chair you're sitting on did cost 325 789 US$ and that the carpet was half a million bucks....

  • If the chair was a Herman Miller (which it usually is) it was only about 1200 us ;)

There is no way around it. A pro studio will cost you a crap load of money. Getting someone to design and build a room that size alone will cost you 100/200k.

My studio will owe me 300k once it opens up in august and it is no way near as big as this place is.

  • Oh, with 'a room that size' I meant the control room. Not the whole studio (imagine how much more it costs to build the whole facility).

  • its good

he should be proud of his hard work

    well done

he;s talking about stuff he never used to be able to afford

    hard work pays

  • i like how he settled the nonsense wit the tupac records that keep gettin dropped

  • not that aint nobody sample again?!

  • real nice..

  • Great Recording Studio! Ever used a Shure microphone? Or a Sonar/Cakewalk mixer? Check out my 2 new recordings I made at home! Also, check out my friend "Kayla1557" and her two new videos!

  • What I wouldn't do or give to be a producer working at that amazing studio!! That shit even makes me want to start rapping again...especially seeing that smoke room. I stay high!

  • at no time will anyone in there rite mind ever use that many mixer channels at once

  • haha so true expecially since that studio specializes in rap you only need maybe 20 channels MAX for instrumentals and all..

  • What you both said isn't true. Doing a hiphop/rap track can tack up much more which is especially true when real instruments are used. An acoustic drumkit can easily take up 12+ channels on it's on.

Why have some many channels? A recording studio that big has a crapload of inputs. Each mic or direct input has it's designated channel which means you'll never have to unplug anything. (patchbays also come in handy) They probably also do other genres.

  • can't you guys thank this man for accomodating us in his studio? Thank you sir! Inspiring. You're a good man.

  • Damn, someone better tell Rick Rubin to stop recording Anthony Keidis with an SM57 because some guy on

  • youtube said that you just can't do that.

  • All that just to record one vocal track? I thought thats why they invent pro tools le for LOL

  • It was the no point in recording unless you have a u87...that was just crazy. There goes most people right there!

  • Plus there is no more industry standard in case you hadn't noticed.

    . Lets trade some recordings!

  • Oh, and please tell me what industry standard means to you? Is there a guide or a book I should have that tells me how to be "industry standard". Well why would anyone want that in the first place. Kind of gross to do what is expected. Fresh ideas are not part of some unknown industry standard. Also great engineers don't need to have U87's to make great recordings. they know how to focus on the music and the artist. A good song on a boom box will please most more than a bad song with a great mic

  • Ites Studio man. Usually just see rock based studios, nice to see a Hip Hop oriented one. Similar gear though. That console is freaking huge man. One question, u have like a dedicated smokers mic? Smoke is BAD for electronics.

  • very organized bra-- i hope mine comez dat 1day

  • 64, 72 channels??

but if they record on an akin with 2 loops, 3voices,

1 bass, ..what you do with a SSL like that?!?!? please..thats hilarious

  • yall got good shit

  • nice chandelier

  • nice!

  • the best program is CUBASE :)

  • what is the best program to record vocals?

    please answer

  • I dont think it's witch program, but witch program you can self use. I use Cubase SX3, genuis program. But also try out Pro Tools, Cubase 4, Nuendo, Adobe Audition...

  • cubase is cool if ye got atleast some 2 yrs of experience with computer music...

  • There is no such thing as a best program, its how u use it and what u need it to do.

  • There isn't really a single best program - personally I'm a fan of Nuendo or ProTools for recording. My pro studio's Pro Tools, my home studio's Nuendo; it doesn't make a lot of difference which you use, but some people find one DAW easier to use than another.

Mostly it's in the quality of mics and cables though - there's no point recording in an amazing DAW if you've only got an SM58/57 or a cheap Behringer. Splash out and get a Neumann U87 and some decent cable and you'll be on your way.

  • You're mic comment is silly. No point recording with SM58/57..., please! Go be creative. Yeah, i've got nice mic's too...., but that don't mean $hit with out the song! I used answering machine, a soup can with piezo, shouted off a building a block away while monitoring on a cell phone, set up 6 acoustics and a bunch of cymbals for verb while tracking lead vocals, and that is just 1 song. Don't be so lazy and brain washed by music mag ads! respect to you. happy recording

  • was meant to as reply to mansonesque (charlie or marylin?)

  • For a professional, industry-standard sound recording, low-end microphones do not provide either the frequency response or noise/signal ratio. Of course there are situations where creative use of mics is appropriate, but I resent the accusation of being 'lazy and brain washed'. I use industry-standard equipment to produce industry-standard recordings, and though I'm not adverse to experimenting as you have with different sound-creation techniques it has little place in commercial recordings.

  • Good recordings can be made with any mic...Period! It is about imagination and technique. Like is said there are plenty of examples thru history to blow your idea out of the water. Sure nice mics are nice! I love my nice gear....a lot! But I don't need it to make a recording that regular listeners would like. I'm not out to impress engineers/which i've been for 25 years. Music is not gear dependent, it is the other way around. Sorry about the Lazy comment, that was uncalled for. But U R Wrong!

  • Well i beg to differ for almost the last 60 year every snare drum has been recorded with at least one sm57. that is the industry standard. However if you only record people talking over beats you really would not know that?

  • I vote beta 57 haha

  • most studios STILL do not use the beta 57. I'd stick with the regular 57 because it's tried and true.

  • Good shit!

  • DAMN when i saw that console and all the equipment, it made me want to throw all of mine away and quit...maybe become a sunday school teacher. shit. nah im not givin up.

  • Big studios for big talents :-)!

  • videos like this inspire me... theres still hope niggaz

  • wood is for acoustics dog

  • 1.3 Mill console....how does my $130 behringer compare???

  • im using live lite 6 and i cant even get 4 tracks on it!

  • i got a question. why do music studios seem to always have so much wood in them. Is there something about wood that helps?

  • yea, it's good for acoustics

  • Wood is usually used for hemlholtz resonators to control room modes.

  • Best studio tour on youtube. thats goin in mty favorites. Nice studio one day I'm gonna come produce the future hits in there. Beautiful.

    myspace(dot)com/marvelousforever

That song,"P***y Got Ya' Hooked" by 3-6 mafia,is a sample of the song.
