  • A PREQUEL! It's going to suck. It looks like it's further into the future, so to have it be a prequel is asinine. Why do people think that invisible war was SOOO bad? Sure, it wasn't as good as the first but it didn't suck.

  • hey its logan!

  • deus ex is latin...you SHOULD say it as you write it!

  • I love Deus ex invisible war it y i'm into deus ex.

  • GO TO IGN NOW!!!

THE NEW TRAILER HAS BEEN RELEASED AND ITS EPIC!!!!

STILL ONLY A TEASER BUT NOT THE OLD ONE IT LOOKS AWESOME!!!!

    GO GO GO!

    ;p

  • second one is gay, 1st one best

  • invisble war was not as good as deus ex 1...but it did NOT suck!

huge replayability, especially the 'kill all sentient beings' mode. well, not really a mode thats just what i call it, i especially enjoyed the tarsus school...with my nano-katana....;)

  • Damn Logan... Why did you leave Tigerdirect? You were awesome.

  • Deus Ex was the most amazing game ever played, with a great soundtrack and an absorbing storyline. However, Deus Ex 2 was disappointing as the RPG element was reduced.

  • This guy is one of the best imo... Just cracks me up not even if it's that funny.... :P

  • I Dont understand all the Hate on IW, i mean we all know it doesnt stand up to DX1. But it wasnt a bad game by normall game standards... I mean i loved theGame i like DX1 more but i dont think IW is nearly as bad as every one hates on it to be.

  • I don't think Alexander Brandon - a huge shame.

  • look some say that the hero will be a security guard...i think its not bad maybe at the start u are and then somethink happens...and then u take mods...isnt it good?or maybe a game with the hero half mech half human

  • i wish it wold be alot like the first one except that you could your factions that was kinda a cool feature in deus ex 2

  • cool, i can't wait to play this game, i hope Alexander Brandon is producing the music. deus ex 1 soundtrack is amazing.

  • what i want back is all the information that was in the first one such as emails bank accounts and proper mod information explaining how you cloak or run faster and regarding the health if there is some story behind it like a biomechanical mod then it wont be a total fail

  • Lets hope EM doesn't screw up Deus Ex 3 and make the same mistakes IW did.

  • Bleh, Invisible War was great. Look forward to the new installment.

  • @SevereRepugnance

Did you play the 1st one? If you compare the two, you will find the IW is so inferior its sickening.

  • Yeah man, of course the first game is classic. I'm not saying I prefer IW out of the two, I'm just adding my vote in the matter. I had a fun time playing it, which is the point of a video game IMO. I think the constant wave of bashing is unwarranted.

  • i think deus ex 2 was not better than the first but it was too good because the story was better but the gameplay was amazing shit -.-

  • If u understood the whole story from begining u wouldnt said this ... yeah of course Deus Ex 2 sucked from some points of view but the story moves on ;)

Deus Ex is the best game i ever played ( 10 times by now and not stoping :D )

Many games nowadays are full of shits only graphics and no story lines so Deus Ex has all we want

  • shit of the graphic :D

    i like both deus ex´s

but the second part of deus ex was not so good because when i ever go from one map to another they bring me back to the desktop(i don´t know what the name for desktop of english xDDD)

and that was really shit -.-

  • Then it isnt Deus Ex 2 fault :P in this case of course ,its your game version :D or becoz its your Deus Ex Invisble war a pirate version :D

  • no i had bought the game in a supermarket :D

    it can´t be a pirate version :D

  • In a capitalist society there can never be good commercial grade products. Nobody wants to sell good products; mediocre ones sell better. Cutting development budgets to add more marketing, amongst other things.

  • @risbolla

But then again, DX1 was made in a capitalist society, and its one of the best games I've ever played, so I still have hope that DX3 can achieve greatness too.

  • Huh? . . . I loved Invisible War!

  • @JTX1000 You'r retarded then, the 1st was awsome, way more better. I played a couple of days invisible war and inmediately got bored because it had a very poor trama and too futuristic and shit.

  • I don't care to take insults from someone who can't spell 'you're'. And 'trama'? What's that mean? I never played the first, I just said I liked the second, maybe if I did play the first I'd think differently, but until then I don't think I'm a retard

  • he looks buzzin lol

  • They should just take the old DX1 system and plant it into DX3. Make a few improvements in a few places where the old system needed it and be done with it. All you need is a good story line now, just did half of the job for you...

  • Eidos Montreal is NO Warren Spector nor Looking Glass Studios. YOU ARE fanboys at best, trying to emulate you're heroes. cheap fanatic posers.

  • I'm perfectly fine with Warren Spector being off the project as he was the first one to gimp the game, via the PS2 release. He went on record saying he felt the first one was too complicated, then went about dumbing it down.

With him having no input on this game, perhaps it might be possible to recapture the compexity that made the first one so long lasting.

  • it had to be dumbed down for console version. IT WAS CONSOLE

  • Still, they over did the dumbing down for part 2 and I blame Warren for that. He did go on record, saying he felt the original was too complicated. With that mind set, I doubt the game would've been any better even if it'd had only been made on the PC. He wanted an easier product and that's what he made.

  • yes, invisible war was dumbed down cause it was made simultaneously for console AND PC in mind. but that's not to say if it had been made exclusively for PC, it would have had same results, i honestly doubt that. Warren Spector is a legend. wtf has Eidos Montreal done? i consider them fanboys over the fact they JUST HAPPEN to be coincidentally developing Deus Ex AND Thief sequels, 2 series which Warren Spector has been involved in.

  • All I can say is what I heard. Warren Spector wanted the game to be simpler. Not just because it was going to be on a console, but because he stated there were too many menus. So maybe part 2 wouldn't have come out as dumbed down, but it was already certain to be less of a product then the first one simply thanks to it's creator having less ambition.

As for part 3, I don't see any reason it can't be great. This same company made Tomb Raider fun.

  • Um....no. It was dumbed down for the mass market. The first game was ported to console and wasn't dumbed down in any way.

  • How so I played both and the only major changes that stood out was the removal of the location damage and the smaller areas. Other than that they were pretty similar.

  • @freakyfatdog

Then you missed what made DX1 so great. So many small details and secrets were put into it, so much that I've played it through 7 times and with every playthrough comes more new things I haven't seen/found before. I thought DX1 was more philosophical too with the interesting conversations with the machine AI's and game endings. For being made back in 2000, the game was truely a masterpiece. IW was a decent game, but decent doesn't cut it. Not for a sequel to a legendary game.

  • @drack610 On second thought yes DX was a cerebral game and I am exaggerating however beyond the Xbox's difficulty with map size its silly to say it was dumb down for the console audience. I can name many console games that require as much or more critical thinking. Most of Rare's Xbox 360 games require as much critical thought or creativity.

In regards to the way the a game can make you reflect on its subject matter and plot both DX games are elite.

  • @SidGrey

The first game wasn't really a cerebral game to begin with. I can name many console games that required more thought and strategy.

  • that dude looks linke a younger version of wolverine ...

  • I truely want this game to succeed and give us gamers a great time. Though, what probably will happen is that greed will overcome the developers and the game will be trash. O well.... there is still hope..

  • boom dude. read the dx3 FAQ on the eidos sight, sounds extremely promising. i dont think theyll fuck it up. its gonna be the dogs bollocks. good vid man, youz a funny fucker i like it. peace

  • dues ex 1 was the best....i loved it

  • Deus Ex: Conspiracy was my favorite game. I feel your pain bro, the 2nd one was very disappointing. Nice graphics but.... very lacking.

  • fuck you fucking consoul gamers!

if the designers know that deus ex 2 sucked then why are dulling down deus ex 3... no weapon state modification?!!? com'on i just know its gonna suck now...

  • @Discreetarcher3 Hip hop fuckers, fuck you and your console games, you'r absolutely right dude.

No wonder they installed a lot of consoles shit in the "Pimp My Ride Show"

  • I'm very excited about a new Deus Ex game. By the way, I cracked up when you were talking about the hiding in the shadows part. That was hilarious. "Oh, MUST'VE BEEN SOME RATS!"

  • "The glory of Deus Ex would henceforward stretch on through time and space, to the vanishing point of eternity."

  • i would nearly agree with you, but the original was awesome when it first came out. we are due a few really excellent games, not been many recently

  • I love Deus Ex 2

  • Man, i agree about that shadow thing. In the old game- if you crawl into a vent, they'll bend down and shoot you in that vent! In Invisible War, they'll probably take 5 days to figure out how to do that!!!!

But yea. And a lot of people usually pronounce it "Dews-ex" because they probably only heard others say it that way. I know i'm going to pronounce it correctly now that i know. :)

  • yeah i have been on the forums and honestly it feels alot like ghost in the shell with regen health, no weapon skills, 3rd person cover system, oh and let's not forget the aug that allows wires to come out of your hands and allow you to climb walls spider man anyone?. lol im not getting my hopes up at all on this one

  • Deus Ex 1 was simply amazing. Deux Ex 2 was a little disappointing. Deux Ex 3? I don't expect too much of it....

I hope they'll prove me wrong.

  • straight on.

  • "ahhh it was nuffin" XD

    Great video, man.

  • I sometimes think that I was the only person in the world who enjoyed Invisible War. Oh well, then again I love everything Deus Ex.

  • wtf they took away stats?! i smell another invisible war sigh what a fucking drag looks like mass effect is the closest thing we are gonna get for a next gen shooter/rpg they did the same fucking thing with IW and it was between that and the fucktarded ammo system that made me say fuck this game im reinstalling the original

  • That was very good. I learned some stuff. Thank you.

Btw I found you to be very entertaining.

    "Must have been rats again..."

  • it made me die a little inside when i found out warren specter went off to join disney

  • Thank you for pointing out the fault with Tom Clancy's bullshit! Also, I bless Harvey "Witchboy" Smith for Deus Ex "Conspiracy." My first run through was after 9-11. Really screwed with my head. I hate Bush.

  • I think they are gonna console tard this game up(just like bioschock), no inventory and other stuff like that :-(

  • you look cool i wish i had you as my room mate.

  • I always prefer PC games. Deus Ex 1 was the best game ever! Cant wait to see number 3

  • invisible war was not made for fans of the original deus ex.

It was deliberately dumbed down so they could market it to the console tards, and look where that got them, pretty much ruined ion storm

I hope they've learned their lesson and make this one for the fans

  • i like console and pc ive got ps2,ps3,360,xbox,psp and a ds ohh nearly forgot a nintento wii as well but ... i still liked the pc version of deus ex 1 when i played deus ex 2 ... errrr it was ... ok but nowere near not even close to as good as deus ex 1 was ... i can oly hope that deus ex 3 is as good as 1. i loved deus ex 1.

  • Exactly, and you're a console tard.

  • and your a fat bastard.

  • Just remember when game producers make the game for console also, the game must be downgraded in some ways, as you see in DX2. Dues ex 1 FTW.

  • yeah.... only nowadays the consoles have more computing power than the average computer....

  • when they gna finish making this game???

  • Deus 3 for me should be very simular to the first and have a little bit of stalkers open world choose your side gameplay. Giving it replay ability. Plus have a lvl system like mass effect for upgrading skills and mods Giving it replay ability. Attention to detail when creating a characters from scratch plus when u mod, your apearance changes and others react to you differenty or dont even make this dam game naw mean?

  • Kinda like Fable, right?

  • No, Fable was never good.

  • I was gonna whine about how I already did this, but wait.

  • really... have to have a look at it... i had never heard of it until they got this deus ex 3 article.

  • i used to love it. i grew up with some of the reviewers from Amiga power and Your Sinclair. There are virtually no unbiased reviews these days tho. Also they banned me from their chatroom for admitting I cracked my diablo2 cd so i didnt have to use the cd in my drive. bit harsh imo :p

  • dude ... thats harsh ... witch one just diablo 2 or diablo 2 lord of destruction?

    blue shift anyone?

    sorta similar....

  • i got deus ex. its fun but aggravating

  • aggravating? how? cause it is slow paced?

  • a combination of many things

the controls are kinda weird and hard to get used to, but i think its because im not used to fpsrpg games.
