Good cops are very valuable but their inablility to act against bad cops makes people not care when a cop gets killed or shot . Plus when cops were recently killed in Florida they got all day all night 'Ads' of the radio asking for help to find the killer. They never put that much effort in when a good citizen is murdered.
Cops are a gang. In Florida they're often awful and violent. Notice in the 'to catch Preditor' shows when in Florida they take them down hard. In most other states they simply ask them to comply. I sometimes think we get the worst of NYC moving down to Florida.

I'm on the west coast, but cyclists have the same entitlement mentality here. They run stop signs, red lights, make illegal turns, ride on the wrong side of the street, ignore the pedestrian right of way and nearly run over your feet (came so close a few times, that now i'm ready to pull them off the bikes and punch the living daylight out of them). In the 3 vids, only the 3rd one was a real assault. In the 1st vid, the streets were not blocked off to perpendicular traffic, so cars had to wait at red light, then the cyclists ran the red light, got caught by the cops, and then you can see cars crossing through the intersection. Second video same thing, except he not only ran a stop light, but was driving on the wrong side of the road. I'm fed up with cyclists thinking they're special. They have to abide by the same rules as auto drivers!!!

As for the NY police they are about as intelligent as most policemen worldwide with an average IQ of 65 or less. First vid you can't tell, but it looks like the guy tried to split a pair of NYPD officers. Bad idea. Second one is clearly a traffic violation for going the wrong way on the street, the law applies to bikers too. Third one is just bad luck. The biker was coming straight at the cop. Well, that's an inaccurate statement. First of all the NYPD police academy lasts 6 months and secondly, NYPD requires 60 college credits to become an officer, and even more for promotion to Sgt, Lt, etc etc.

Good cops are very valuable but their inablility to act against bad cops makes people not care when a cop gets killed or shot . Plus when cops were recently killed in Florida they got all day all night 'Ads' of the radio asking for help to find the killer. They never put that much effort in when a good citizen is murdered.

It might be illegal for cyclists to run red lights but you never ever see cops in police cars smashing motorcycles like they do to cars who won't stop.
Cyclists could be killed getting shoved over like this. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behavior. The cops involved should be fired and prosecuted for 3rd or 4th degree assault depending on injuries sustained.

I'm on the west coast, but cyclists have the same entitlement mentality here. They run stop signs, red lights, make illegal turns, ride on the wrong side of the street, ignore the pedestrian right of way and nearly run over your feet (came so close a few times, that now i'm ready to pull them off the bikes and punch the living daylight out of them). Unless streets are fully blocked (which they weren't in any of the 3 vids), even critical mass has to abide by the rules of the road.

In the 3 vids, only the 3rd one was a real assault. In the 1st vid, the streets were not blocked off to perpendicular traffic, so cars had to wait at red light, then the cyclists ran the red light, got caught by the cops, and then you can see cars crossing through the intersection. Second video same thing, except he not only ran a stop light, but was driving on the wrong side of the road. I'm fed up with cyclists thinking they're special. They have to abide by the same rules as auto drivers!!!

Umm, maybe I'm just an observant one, but anyone notice the bikers are RUNNING RED LIGHTS in 2 of the incidents?? I.E. breaking the law. Thats why police were trying to stop them. I don't see a difference from a car running a light, he'd get a ticket. The biker should have STOPPED and accepted his ass was getting a ticket instead of running from THE LAW. I'm not saying the cop is innocent, he should have pulled buddy over without almost killing him, but the cyclist is a random victim.

I have to mention first of all the terrible condition of the road surfaces in NY. What a Dump! As for the NY police they are about as intelligent as most policemen worldwide with an average IQ of 65 or less. Every policeman I have come across from lowest 2 highest rank has been unbearably stupid and left wanting. We are better off without them. I was in New York last year and forgot my rose colored spectacles and the place is one big garbage pile. And the police are the only true free citizens.

First vid you can't tell, but it looks like the guy tried to split a pair of NYPD officers. Bad idea. Second one is clearly a traffic violation for going the wrong way on the street, the law applies to bikers too. Third one is just bad luck. The biker was coming straight at the cop. They both realize it, the cop tries to jump out of the way and the biker tries to steer out of the way. Unfortunately, they both went the same way.

Well, that's an inaccurate statement. First of all the NYPD police academy lasts 6 months and secondly, NYPD requires 60 college credits to become an officer, and even more for promotion to Sgt, Lt, etc etc.

Yes, or a military background. NYPD is something I don't know a lot about. I know IPD requires a high school diploma before training and that's all. Still...they never seem too bright to me. Also, is it just me or do they all seem to be rude for no reason? I can't remember the last time I talked to a cop that didn't reek of arrogance. I once got a gun put to my cheek and a knee in my back because I fit the description of a shoplifter. I was only 15 and innocent. Bad first impression.
