Looks really cool, even if it is kind of a rip off of WoW, atleast they decided to rip off of a good game, and the cryengine made the game look really cool, WoW might have some competition in a few years. But right now its clear which one is better, which is to be expected but this game looks like it will really be cool later.

I enjoy that, this game seems like many others combined; not easy to level, but you feel, how should i say this.. More accomplished after leveling, and feel your deed is done when reached the max level, and get to move on to some more serious PvP, WoW gives a good pvp, but there set-up is weird, I'm qutting WoW for this as well, no doubt this will be much better. I made it in WoW and have 50 something youtube vids to prove it...and yes it indeed sucks and isn't the game it once was. Every aspect of it has been so casual amplified that power users are bored right out the door. Preordered Aion, canceled my wow account, and having a blast in Aion beta.
It promises long grinds, impossible to get epics, and no UI modifications. I hope those three things keep the wow fanboys away.

Listen retards. Theres not so many ways to make a mmorpg.. It has to be almost the same gameplay with clicking spells and ability's .. but NCsoft has done this very good. They got a nice twist in the gameplay wich i love. This is nothing like wow at all.. only thing they got in commen is that u click abylities and spells to attack.
animation is good. needs more detail in the environments. sounds effects sound bad i.e footsteps, clinks and clanks. looks too Japan /final fantasy-ish. does not compare at all to WoW. I'd take Huxley over Aion.
why do people ALWAYS say "its just a copy of wow"? thats never the case. They said it with LOTR, WAR, even AoC, when each game is clearly ITS OWN GAME. Aion is not a copy of WoW, neither is Mortal online. Thats not true... Its a few dollar cheaper and u buy paytime .. not a month or too in a row. If u buy like this standard gamecards "1month" u need to play 8 hours per day to use it up.

Cool but whats up with the wierd korean/chinese/oriental sounding battle-crys. I understand this is of Korean/oriental origin but come on... this is the North American release and I dont want to play as a chinese person.
At what interval do these class changes occur? I'm not a fan of progressive classes and I think english players as a whole are not a fan of them. Korean games seems to be chock full of progressive classes, but english game are not. Heck, EQ2 was released with progressive class branching but was later removed because people just find it tedious. It certainly makes rolling alts boring. I don't mind it as much if I can get to my "real" class quickly.
I haven't gone past level 20 having only played in the closed beta, but the first class change is at level 10 with the next one I'm guessing at level 30. I'm hoping Aion doesn't become like Lineage II which I've also played and had too many classes and subclasses branching out.
The interface looks a lot like World of Warcraft, and the combat seems to be the same too. And World of Warcraft is boooring! Is this game any better?
Its possible. THe keys are on a card about the size of a standard credit card. That carded is housed in a slimline DVD case. Since these cards are from NCSOFT and not electronically distributed, you have a change of running out :D.
well, the beta keys are limited cuzz NCsoft only released so many of em to america, if you didnt get on line for the key fast enough you dont get one, sorry mate. i wish i got the beta D:

i swear id do anything to play this. i bought the game and have the key for betas but... when i download it it always says errors or times out lol. hope i can download the patches when i get the cd

i think im being punished. im from south africa and we pay for download.. and its not cheap. ive downloaded the 5.25 size client and all times i havent been able to get it to work. im gonna have to wait till september.....(cry)

u have to preorder. and depending on who u preorder from it may take up to 1 week to get a beta key.

Cool but whats up with the wierd korean/chinese/oriental sounding battle-crys. I understand this is of Korean/oriental origin but come on... this is the North American release and I dont want to play as a chinese person.
Still looks cool though.

You can choose from 4 but there will be a total of 8 classes. For example, the Mage can later on become a Sorcerer or Spirit Master.

At what interval do these class changes occur? I'm not a fan of progressive classes and I think english players as a whole are not a fan of them. Korean games seems to be chock full of progressive classes, but english game are not. Heck, EQ2 was released with progressive class branching but was later removed because people just find it tedious. It certainly makes rolling alts boring. I don't mind it as much if I can get to my "real" class quickly.

I haven't gone past level 20 having only played in the closed beta, but the first class change is at level 10 with the next one I'm guessing at level 30. I'm hoping Aion doesn't become like Lineage II which I've also played and had too many classes and subclasses branching out.

it only has 2 subclasses per main class. at level 10 you get your real class and thats it...no more classes to get.

you get to your "real" class at lvl 10. you have 40 lvls to enjoy as your "real" class...

The interface looks a lot like World of Warcraft, and the combat seems to be the same too. And World of Warcraft is boooring! Is this game any better?

Its possible. THe keys are on a card about the size of a standard credit card. That carded is housed in a slimline DVD case. Since these cards are from NCSOFT and not electronically distributed, you have a change of running out :D.

well, the beta keys are limited cuzz NCsoft only released so many of em to america, if you didnt get on line for the key fast enough you dont get one, sorry mate. i wish i got the beta D:
