  • I'm noticing this happening now. Little sprouts. Reminds me of a conversation with a son yesterday. We were chatting about self improvement, striving to become better people. It made me smile. Thankyou Paulo, blessings!

  • Putting heart back into living. Thinking about the country where I was born. There was a major recession in the 80's (lasting almost 20 years in my province). Many of us became more creative to solve problems of daily living; to pool resources better; sharing (food gardens, child care, clothing, toys) with neighbors and friends. A few farmers not using bits of land, divided areas into small portions, then offered it to those wishing to grow food but needed land. Community gardens.

  • Paulo Coelho Rocks!

  • What's ETHICS? It changes daily. Wasn't there an ETHICS during slavery? Of course we loose track of it. It's never the same! Everyone has it's own definition. That's an easy way out. It just doesn't work. Nice word to use when referring to one self, thou

  • Nelson, believe me, if you ever come to Argentina... You would be making an understatement! Every idiot gets the mic AND camera here LOL. And so we live! Undereducation is what's killing and starving us. We are breeding robots.

  • dalhe paulooooo

    ADD ME!!!

  • 5/5!

  • Alle Antworten der Lebens können wir in der Natur finden.

Das Produkt unser Heutigen Zeit ist auch nur Aufgrund NaturGesetzte zu begründen.

    Gruß Martin

  • I don't know enough about Coelho outside of him being an author. General I can't get mad at anyone for sharing their views should someone stick a mic in their face. My problem is that we have developed this "status whore" culture where if anyone achieves any degree of fame (or infamy) a large number of people believe that everything they have to say is significant, or informed. We should all learn to think for ourselves.

  • He's brazilian like me

  • marketero!!!!!!!ahahahhaha

  • thank you, joeplatter

  • He's cool and he means well, but here on You Spew he gets a bad rap for just trying to be nice and kind to the world. Maybe Arnie as Terminator might go down better with this crowd ? . . oh, and I don't think kids in Gaza get access to this. Hamas only likes them to watch their own racist hate filled propaganda on Gaza TV, so it looks like you wasted your time dpremi1126

  • No, palestinian children don't get that on Gaza tv. How can they? these children are too busy dying from Israeli warplanes bombing them, and ducking in their basements from Israeli tank-shelling

but well, we know that the real crime is what palestinians watch on tv, never mind babies and toddlers dying off of phosphorous-induced burns, courtesy of Israel army

  • Coelho just proved he has nothing to say. Yada yada about how we lost our ethics is hardly enlightening. Old people and other whiners has been saying it at least since antiquity.

  • Great books - strange hairstyle :P

  • he is the men, thanks for the nice books friend!!

  • He's not talking about ethics, merely what's advisable in a business sense. Handling money badly is not unethical, immoral or whatever. Just stupid.

  • I was just browsing through youtube

  • all religions and atheists will unite in davos to speak big words and nothing will be done because none of them seems to be undernourished and they're all aware they're speaking of their own wallet. skip this media circus please.

  • Why not carry on the immigration fight elsewhere and stick to Coelho here? Nice to find him on youtube; and yes money is everyone's business - that doesnt make one a sucker or a hypocrite. Atleast he is transparent enough to admit it rather than join the millions of false gurus who claim to be public servants...

  • Why not carry on the immigration fight somewhere else? YT is the only place in America where I an find such a huge concentration of morons who need educating about what is being done to their country.

  • They're not doing work cleaning bathrooms and turning beds - they've TAKEN OVER Silicon Valley and now occupy America's best jobs - programming, software. You know - THOSE jobs "Americans don't want to do".

And if you say that's because Americans are too stupid, tell us all who invented IT? America or India? Where is the Indian operating system? Where is the Apple, Microsoft, or Adobe of India? Dead silence........

  • Incase you havent noticed in history its seldom the inventors of inventions that get their due credit but rather those who learn to apply it properly. Chinese invented gunpowder Tesla invented and did alot of work in electricity. In any case its not a case of Americans being dumb.Just for reference India just landed on the moon.If you only knew what the move from F1to OPT to H1b to green card was like u'd know that they earned the right to be there.IF THEY WORK HARDER give them what they deserve

  • Tell us moron, who is the INVENTOR of the modern assembly line and MASS PRODUCTION?

Henry Ford, that's who. Don't tell me inventors don't get credit. Steve Jobs was just granted a patent as the inventor of the iPhone. Moron.

India did not land on the moon - they allegedly sent a probe into orbit around the moon which overheated and didn't send back a single picture which makes me wonder if it even went into orbit at all. Tell me the name of the Indian who walked on the moon.

  • its funny how it burnt up and the pictures were on youtube for 3 months though. and his name was krishna by the way.lol. the point is that the media blackout that most people in the western world faced during the time is not an idiosyncrasy.Production started somewhere long b4that and the iphone still came from a phone. Again you see what you want to see. Just because the media hypes up something doesnt mean its true.u fall for it hook line and sinker. I rest my case...

  • Hi, Paulo,

NIce to see you in YOu tube!

we are doing well in Japan.

We will visit antarctic continent in Feburary. See you sometime in FRance.

Please give me a call when you come to Japan. Toshi and Yasuko Yamakawa

  • In my country they are called 'import workers',they do all the dirty work like flipping burgers in a fry pit to cleaning bed-pans at hospitals. They make more money in a month than they would in a year in their homeland. The sad thing is no one told them that it would cost 90% of their wage to live here.

  • Kill The Rich!!!

  • No. Death is too easy. Capture them and use them as our slaves.

  • so that you get their money and you be the new rich? no thanks

  • hahahaha eh o Paulo Coelho!!!

  • Paulo Coelho is someone who get rich and famous telling lies wich people want to hear, as any catolic priest, pope or any rich who wants to try to teach people how to live.

Like him I´m brazillian, Unfortunately here people believe more in a guy like him than someone as Richard Dawikins

  • in the UK no one is allowed to work under 16 except in farms one boy lost an arm n the report said if they started checking farms for safety on rotation is can only be done once every 10 years! no money to employ more inspectors BUT its plenty of money to employ enough inspectors to spy on poor workers that lost their jobs like thacher when she said its cheaper to buy coal from abroad what she never said was that the europeans were subsidizing their miners £60 a ton! uk miners NOT a penny

  • Man, you sure do learn a lot from watching youtube! haha It's true. That's why I like it! but this is an absolutely a favorite now haha

  • perhap a new monitary system that really represents the contribution of people, rather than how well they can navigate he system, needs to be thought about. Currently some of the hardest working people and the people who contribute most to society are some of the least appreciated and least compensated in our system. The system should give adequate compensation based on effort and contribution.

  • the rich amke the laws for their benefit an example the BBC we r rich we pay NO tax one man who paid himself n family £1.2 BILLION yes BILLION he didn't pay a penny tax cause his wife OWNS the share n she lives in monte carlo one poor man who lost his job at MG's he was repairing his father's car some scamp reported him they had 2 taxmen stying on him everyday when they saw him working on his father's car they suspended his unemployment benefit

  • I think you're right. I'm from Venezuela and for example, a teacher (one of the most important persons in the building of the country, because I think education i s the key) can earn something like $300 a month. How can you raise a family, pay an adequate home, etc.? By the other way you see a broker that wakes up 10am in the morning and works for nearly 4 hours and can win $5000. I think that's ridiculous. That's why the world is falling apart...

  • For all you morons at Davos who are blaming the U.S. for the economic crisis, you need to be told that it is YOU who are causing the economic crisis. Other countries insist on $700 billion trade surpluses and jamming millions of guest workers into the U.S. who are siphoning our wealth and now you blame the USA? It's the UNBLANCED TRADE that other countries insist on that is the cause of the problem.

  • The United States has the highest corporate corruption in the world. President Obama just blasted the U.S bankers for taking billions worth of bonus when your own people were starving and kicked out of homes. What are talking about "unbalanced trade", the new 835 billion just stimulus plan is the biggest protectionist plan in the world. It doesnt allow anybody to export steel and other commodities even Canada, your closet neighbor.

Please stop pretending that U.S is perfect but far from it.

  • the cause of the problem is: your FED RES is a private bank outside US GOV control without any reseves at all prints n controls us money causeing booms n reseccions for their own benefits you even pay u r taxes to the PRIVATE IRS!

greedy international bankers control the US n most central banks in other countries see THE MONEY MASTERS then u will understand the billions they are stealing from rhe usa n its people

  • Guest workers?I take high offense to that. Its those "guest workers" that built ur country. A land of immigrants?ring a bell? The problem is far more deep routed than your conventional views (most likely not your own).Somehow you need to develop the cognition to realize that it is the policy of America that has plunged the world into its crisis. Not only from the economic standpoint, but from a (let me prepare for this...)political, scientific, moral, educational, eletis, criminal(genocidal)view

  • Gues workers built our country my arse. 80% of Americans were born here. And it was WHITE EUROPEAN ANGLO CHRISTIAN IMMIGRANTS who built America. Every immigration wave since 1900 has been followed by economic disaster. 1906-1920, Great Depression. 1965, 1973 disaster. 1990 H-1B, 1991-93 disaster. 1998-2000, 2000-2009 economic collapse. Where is the great economic benefit these people promised?

  • lmao. It really goes to show how much you know. Who built your railroads?who contributes more to your tax system someone who takes financial aid, gets access to public funds and programs such as these and still does not have a job or even one that pays less than subsistence?Or an immegrant that pays sales tax, works for less and works hard in the places you seem to forget. After getting a degree cleaning bathrooms, turning beds...something im very sure most wont do...

  • Who built our railroads? Americans did. They also built our roads, airports, and the rest of our infrastructure. L-1 visa holders (which have no annual cap) pay no Federal income tax under the IRC (try picking it up and reading it moron). These MILLIONS of guest workers send their paychecks right out of the country and can't do skilled work. I have MILES of FOR LEASE signs in Silicon Valley to show anyone who thinks guest workers are good for the U.S. economy.

  • I guess u still believe that Christopher Columbus discovered the "NEW WORLD". History has a tendancy to be written from the perspective of peole who see what they want to see. Hardly any American can claim to be American since the first Americans are native Americans.(I suppose in your ignorance you'd call them indians as well). Your world is still flat my friend. If immigrants were treated with the same quintessential rights that you are afforded then no such situation would exist.

  • agreement....done deal...mmm

  • es o maior crl!

  • Let's face facts. The man writes simple allegorical mumbled fables and rakes in the cash. He acknowledges he spends at least 3 hours a day surfing the internet finding ways to increase the sales of his books. He is in the game to make money not to enlighten.

  • ♥

  • i just read his book and they amaze me just by learning the teachings of life and the language of the world which inspired me to become more open to the persons around me.....He is one of the best authors (in my opinion)

  • the 5th montain, eleven minutes, veronica decides to die... a lot to choose from if you liked the althemist, i personally think it's shit, even read it in the original language and its also bullshit.

  • lu lost the ability to be impressed by the world.. you hold your standards too high. just because the world begins to like it doesnt mean it becomes shit. on the other hand.. i believe i am the anti-thetical personification of you.

  • well, u might wanna know someone a little bit better to know if your the exact opposite of him... and i liked those books... when I was a kid, now I dont see why it would be a bad think to hold my standarts higher, finding much better book on the nowadays, have u thought that maybe your my thetical presonification.... 8 years ago?

  • How about instead of a loose and/or non-binding code of ethics for CEOs, a revocation of corporate charters?

  • THE ALCHEMIST

  • 方宥心本來天生就是當藝人的料。漂亮身材好又會唱歌~ 更重要的是 - 她很謙虛、不自大

  • no offense bro just a correction..that was a very entertaining book..and inspiring too(at some point)..no offense bro..

  • yeah... but wasnt that the alchemist??? and ohh, he's a blogger man...haha..i didn't really think that blogs are also fad to the elders...^^

  • I think he aught to stick to writing great books.

  • he look's so bad Oo

  • Power currupts and absolute power creates absolute curruption. Example the person who gets a home loan and has thier loan sold to 10 different banks so the orginal loan writer can pretty much fuk over the home owner with a subprime or other horrible things in very fine print the home owner would need a lawyer any loans today GET A lawyer dont trust banks because by the time it defaults the last unlucky bank is left standing holding the deed.

  • That was the plan from the start. These bubbles are all about the old wealth reclaiming the ownership of property from competing tides. Purposeful collapse and devaluation of property that can be bought up by central figures in power. A cyclical system that can be manipulated and thrown off kilter at anytime. It is done when the power structure(old money) decides that a collapse is needed to protect their power from being too divided.

  • And the orginal guy allready has your money and has fled the building and dont care what happens to your house. I think a very clear ethics change NO more selling loans that arent in defualt status, Ie you can write a bad one to make a quick buck and ditch it before it comes due.

  • He looks like Illuminati or something with that necklace

  • That's his ID. Look around, they all wear it. But, He does look like a Jesuit/Vatican insider (who control the Illuminati and all the other cabals under it Like CFR, etc. The apex of power always has been the Jesuits....ie. Lucifer.

  • I like the Jesuits <_< they kept Latin America safe, civil, and prosperous during the colonial period under the Hapsburgs, but then the ideologue Bourbon idiots had to take over, kick them all out, and racially categorize all the "inferiors" and force them to "civilize" I'll never understand why Christians are so obsessed with Lucifer, makes the faith seem like a bi-theistic religion.

  • We are all here to learn and keep an open mind. Do some research of your own on youtube. Check out Alberto Rivera, Eric Jon Phelps, the Vatican Assasins,

  • we're obsessed with both sides of psychological and spiritual growth with God through Christ Jesus. what goes wrong if people decide to love stagnation and rot=absolute separation from God or if they pursue a relationship=salvation

  • If people decide to love stagnation and rot, and by your logic, become separate from God, than it will be their fate to endure as they must, and in God's hand whether to punish them or forgive them. It is not up to you to judge and legislate.

  • I never said it was up to me to do anything at all...though it IS up to me to apply what I learn from God and from my relationship with Jesus to my life...AND spreading His word of truth to others that may have an ear that they may listen. I only said why Christians are obsessed about the devil as much as they are God in the first place...one wants to destroy you, the other wants to save you. God bless you and have a nice day.

  • Ah, my apologies then, I misconstrued your remarks.

  • No apology needed.

  • keep in mind that God acts through people by your own belief. (and im guessing here). Separation from modern day views of what religion is commonplace. I agree that we cannot rot from stagnation. But, God helps those who help themselves.... (that is he helps those with good intention and who just dont sit down on their lazy behinds). Try excecuting a little candor in your comments about God and separation from religion rather than from God himself. They are separate and appart.

  • I don't think I lack frankness with what I've said about God and the separation from religion, as religion is the means for which individuals define connectivity with God.

Definitions of what is good and when justified by God are defined so through religion. You can be with God and not with religion, but cannot justify morality through him if so, as that is a religion, it can only be done secularly.

  • PÉSSIMO ESCRITOR!

  • i agree, but i dont hate on him...but i jus think he has many logical fallacies in his way of thinking....fallacies that are very attrative to the uneducated mind! nevertheless i dont hate him or anything like that...i jus think people need to be aware of what influences him...and its new age...which has MANY fallacies in its logic.

    PEACE and Godbless

  • in many ways isn't faith the antithesis of logic, e.g. a belief in God would be illogical as the belief exists outside of its proof

I have an educated mind and I find Coelhos works and his thoughts intriguing... could you provide an example of one of his MANY fallacies

  • i posted a repy in your ewat85box... if anybody else wants to see why i say paulo has fallicious reasoning in his works and why faith is NOT the antithesis of logic...just ask for it...as it will not fit here...(its only 2 paragraphs...) nevertheless thank you for asking ewat85, i respect your mind! for all minds have value in them. TAke CARe!

  • not really.....

Nao eh preciso xingar...

  • Mr. Coelho! I read your book about that Brazilian slut that went to Switzerland to be an even bigger slut ... interesting book but I had a hard time finishing it though. Keep up the good work.

  • you want to know about ethics?

    violence = evil,

    taxation = violence.

  • RESPECT...!!!

  • my man

  • "I'm Paolo Coelho, I write really easy to understand spiritually allegorical books and make shitloads of money, therefore I am qualified to be here."

  • If its so easy, how come ive never heard of U "mangina9000"???? Why arent u famous?

  • Is easy! Because you are an ignorant as all the american people! He is a famous writer!!

  • How do you know I'm not famous?

  • Honestly, the guy is a simpleton.

  • to paulopinotti: another simple mind i find. GOOGLE PAULO COELHO.. ULL be amazed by his mind... this is not his mother language and he is fairly old, most brazilians dont speak english this day in age, look at this guys work, it has been translated into several languages....

  • We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path. PAULO COELHO

  • I think that Teen Miss USA - South Carolina could have made more sense than Coelho does - well at least she would be sincere.

  • reply to retard mytube7777777: he is making sense.. where do u get that he's not? WOW, i am shocked to find people like u out there..... hmmm some people eh...

  • snore

  • andre2pi the messages regarding davos debates on ethics are focused for the whole population of earth, I understand your worry about the millions of brazilians that do not speak english but in this case the video is trying to reach mayor audiences thats why he's speaking in english.

  • Hey Mr. Bruxo-escritor-super-místico-bla bla bla.... can you please remember the, at least 100 million Brasilians who do not understand a word in english, and send them a massage in your mother language, so they can understand what you're saying? Esqueceu de onde veio Paulinho?

  • I would have come to Davos if I had known that you were there that day

  • The Alchemist, book...is from an Arabic Legend you know... Not Paolo;s original idea per se... (There is nothing new under the sun, said Krishnamurti, etc)

  • i didnt know that!

  • also said King Solomon

  • ahhh ahhh yes yes yessss

  • can someone tell a time in history when a code of ethics was used in business where NOBODY would be abused?

  • there where times, but good standards can only be maintained by good people and when they die, things always goes back to normal again

  • 0:22 - HEHE

The men who sitting on the red armchair is really funny =)

  • shut up you all ignorants

the new system will be replaced this as a answerd i't ll just get worst

  • Paulo Coelho is an aware spirit. It is time to raise the question about the meaning of corporate life. Make meaning in stead of just money.

  • Yeah I bet Coelho keeps a big slice of his own cash before he dishes it out for charitable or humanitarian purposes.

The bloke is a shallow hypocrite.

  • He's shallow and a hypocrite? - just curious. Why?

  • thank you for your wise words

  • What a great mind....
