You know what HALF the problem of child stars these days is?? They are too into themselves - and the culture is so spoiled and ungrateful it's outrageous. Listen. Children worked in sweatshops in days past.  Children all over hte world work and have no "childhoods" in deprivation. If people stopped thinking about their FEELINGS (selfishness) and thought about others - 99% of their problems would be gone. Pity is enabling. This culture is on a selfish self-pity BINGE. You know what - I know what you mean. I was just listening to a program on a radio where preachers were saying that in the old days there was childhood and adulthood. There were no "teenagers" or "adolescents". He spoke of a man of 12 as captain of a ship - who became an admiral.  They said that adolescence as a time of selfishness and pleasure was unheard of and created by child labor laws which prevented teens from entering the workforce as adults... and how our society has degenerated.

No she didnt get it because They where in a trade with MGM they were gonna trade her for another actor but he died so the deal was off.I watched her life story about 55 times lol

Actually, Jean Harlow Jean died in 1937-way too early for any agreement to have been made regarding Oz-fox never would have let ST out of her contract that early. That part was in the ST Story because it's the way ST remembered it rumored as a child. Actually, Roger Edens, MGM musical director auditioned ST at Fox for Oz and they decided the vocal demands were too much for her. The film property was actually originally bought for Judy by MGM, but the NY MGM office wanted Shirley as "insurance"

It's probably best Shirley Temple video I've seen. It's well done and you've got so many clips and they're such a good quality that it's hard to believe that it's been like 70 since Shirley was little actress and that she's old lady now.
