Never heard of these games...Are they any good? For your info, I really like story-dependent games, thus I enjoyed Xenogears and Xenosaga immensely. Does this game have a good story? Can I play it directly or do I need to play the prequel(s)?
I have these fatestones so far: ruby of flames water aquamarine topaz of earth emerald of evil opal of wind amethyst of visions darkness diamond moonstone and the obsidian sword ...i never got the holy diamond cause I am pretty lazy ^_^ of course i got them through 3 playthroughs :P P.S. someone should really make a "Let's play..." of RS minstrel song! it's such a great game :(
The Diamond is one that REQUIRES two playthroughs to get. Which sucks -_-;. Another thing that's tough to do is be evil enough to get into the Netherworld but I got around it by killing Pyrix's Possessed form, Pyrocanis. I still have yet to kill Schirach so :/

the aquamarine because of the stone breath statues there. if a breath touches you its instant game over. and the other version of ghost ship (the one that is a rare encounter,not the boss) is tough :P
and for the emerald of evil you first need to get the moonstone and then the emerald :< but the game is great :D

first you need to have albert in the party so that you can enter the crystal palace. then in the pub you see two guys talking about the stone. you are then able to go and aske neidhart about the stone. you then have to fight the right way in the caverns in crystal lake. you will find a wooden door,and it will be open. after some short scenes,you will fight the boss,and then pick up the aquamarine.
i can toootaly beat him NOT i needed 2 start all over cuz i missed a lot of stuff i really wanted like the emerald of evil and moonstone but now i have
you actually don't even really need that many of them cause u could have like five and still face saurin no problem granted it might be a little harder to beat him........
Fear not, for the first SaGa Frontier wasen't exactly the pinnacle of the series, and Unlimited Saga was THE absolute WORST entry in the series. I would definitely suggest giving this game a try. It got amazing reviews in Japan. Don't pay any attention to the American reviews unless their from fans. American reviews said this game was too hard. It's not hard, it's just really challenging. There are very few poor design choices in this game.
The only thing that I wud say that the SaGa series has especially this game,is alot of "wtf?" cuz there is no clear objective when you first start the game, because I was saying that when I first started Hawke's story. Which kind of turned me off from the game kinda.
The physical damage of this dragon only does 1 or 0 damage once you get your characters defence to 100 - 111. How to do that? Buy Field plate and tempered it with Garal, Conqueror's Gloves +Garal, Leg Mail+Garal, Fashionable Helm+Garal then make your character a Rosalian Officer and change his mode to Defence. Even if your defence is only 90 that will be equivalent to 120+defence. Even breath attack will only damage you 100-150..
Pagen Ruins......the quest is theodore's madness??? well niceeee job dude..dont bother writing the combos!!! lol altho that would take up and extremly large amount of time......it is a good idea
I remember this Dragon, he was pretty tough, I kinda dont see why I had such problems with him, I defeated golden Dragon and this fella was so hard to beat... why is a Red Dragon stronger than a Golden one?

So, I bought SaGa Frontier 2, and Unlimited SaGa. I hated both of them.
I'm assuming this one is closer to the original PSX SaGa Frontier than any of the others?

Don't lvl up at early ER...Keep running away from monster. Finish all the quest that will expire first then powerlvl.

I needed also little time to beat him,but everyone has his/her own style of fighting...the longer the battle,the more epic it is :) at least to me ;D
