I remember going to this race and Tony Stewart was pumped in the closing laps under caution. He said to the crew, "Even if we lose this race I want you to know this was a great fucking car." It was also interesting to hear Stewart say on the radio giving props to Matt Kenseth for working with him in the draft. This was the year he spun him out hard at Daytona back in February too.

Yeah I was so depresed when my dad told me that JJ didn't qualify and thats because I was going 2 enter the fanzone and I was hopeful of seing him, but when they announced that Smoke was 2 sick 2 keep driving and that JJ jumped in the car I was soooo Happy and I said 2 myself, Jesus I am sooo lucky. About the car it is going 2 be red, white and black with sponsors of Old Spice and Office Depot

Im not a fan of Jeff, but hes not overrated. Jeffs a real racer, who happens to be extremly good at what he does. When he joined HMS it wasnt a powerhouse like it is now. In 1992 they had Rudd and Schraeder and won occasionally, but never had a Cup, and werent a contender each year like they are now. And thats mostly because of Jeff Gordon. He did to HMS what Dale SR did at RCR.
