He's wrong because Obama keeps tweaking things to keep us artificially afloat. I saw comments like yours when it was predicted that the housing bubble will burst & that banks will close. Problem is you can't put a date on it because there are way too many factors, but it can be said that it will eventually happen.

It's been delayed but it is building up to disaster and seems to be on purpose. Laws have been put in place to cut back on California crop watering. Most every California farm has had to stop watering half of their tree crops. The farmers are tearing many huge food producing trees out of the ground because they have dried up. most of our food is being imported, the stage is set, on purpose, and the price of food is rising.
A few years back someone who lived in Florida told me the city went from yard to yard and cut down fruit trees in people's back yards, when people complained they were just told it was an accident. There is definitely something happening here where we will be manipulated by our food supply, or the lack thereof. America is not the bread basket of the world anymore. We get wheat from China & remember the pet deaths in 97? it was from Chinese melamine tainted wheat gluten.

@6969dazzagazza In the US, you can opt to get disbursements via cash. You can also take their paper check and go to Walmart or a check cashing place and for a small fee, get cash. A third option is to use a credit union. You are not FORCED to use a bank. I live in the US; I know this for certain. Our taxes are not levied through the banking system.
The prob with Celente is he's right so very seldom. He lets everyone know about his hits, but doesn't talk about Y2K or the many misses.

When Banks raise interest rates on your loans, if you can not pay the increased payments they will take your home and all in it. Banks control everything.

@BBMeyer100 Some people take out adjustable rate mortgages on their homes. They say they can handle the risk if interest rates go up...and sometimes they are wrong. They also get the benefit of when mortgage rates go down. Mortgage rates are incredibly low. No one forces people to take these loans out...or any home loan out.
People who took out loans they couldn't afford--or they lost their jobs and can't afford them any longer, need to start over.

I actually think the government might kick the debt can down the road until 2020 or 2025. But regardless the American superpower and Dollar is at its death knell. Resourceful people will not simply stockpile precious metals, but will choose careers that will be in demand amid collapse. An economy will still function, as will an affluent managerial class, but the opportunities afforded to the common lot of man will be few and far between. Systemic unemployment and underemployment is the new norm.

I am a fan of Mr. Celente, but I think it would be foolish to save up only money when it's the very monetary system that is collapsing. Far wiser to turn my increasingly worthless dollars into long-term food storage, a handgun, paying off debts quickly, and buying commodities such as precious metals and hygienic supplies.

It's been delayed but it is building up to disaster and seems to be on purpose. Laws have been put in place to cut back on California crop watering. Most every California farm has had to stop watering half of their tree crops. The farmers are tearing many huge food producing trees out of the ground because they have dried up. most of our food is being imported, the stage is set, on purpose, and the price of food is rising.

@6969dazzagazza In the US, you can opt to get disbursements via cash. You can also take their paper check and go to Walmart or a check cashing place and for a small fee, get cash. A third option is to use a credit union. You are not FORCED to use a bank. I live in the US; I know this for certain. Our taxes are not levied through the banking system.
The prob with Celente is he's right so very seldom. He lets everyone know about his hits, but doesn't talk about Y2K or the many misses.

Banks by virtue of the product they sell MUST have liquid monitary assets. Wal-Mart, which is the biggest corp in the world, sells goods, not money, so their assets are partially in Chinese crap.

They also get the benefit of when mortgage rates go down. Mortgage rates are incredibly low. No one forces people to take these loans out...or any home loan out.
People who took out loans they couldn't afford--or they lost their jobs and can't afford them any longer, need to start over.

I actually think the government might kick the debt can down the road until 2020 or 2025. But regardless the American superpower and Dollar is at its death knell. Resourceful people will not simply stockpile precious metals, but will choose careers that will be in demand amid collapse. An economy will still function, as will an affluent managerial class, but the opportunities afforded to the common lot of man will be few and far between. Systemic unemployment and underemployment is the new norm.

The real figure for unemployment in the US is 15% and is not going to change. More OPEC countries will eventually drop the dollar and more invasions will occur to restore the Petrodollar, costing more taxpayer money. Something else could come along and prevent it from happening, like WWIII, or a disease that wipes out the Chinese nation, who knows.
