Hemut Walche had a good "talking" playing style, with much feeling of rhetoric, although the tempo of the fugue is a bit slower than we have got used today by playing our cd's. But in this tempo ev'ry thing, Bach wrote, we can hear and we can exactly follow the structure of this beautiful fugue. This tempo is good for a live concert in a church with a lot of reverb.
