In Queensland they are so understaffed in their dive squad, that there only maybe 1 or 2full-time and eleven or so part-time divers. And the hourly rate is $4.50 on top of their normal salary. So in that respect theirs nothing to be jealous as far as their pay is concerned.

That job is only rarely for society more often then not its for the state, like in APEC You could hardly call the police force the bastion of Liberal Democracy. Sure we need the rule of law, but less police OR they need to be trained in a completely different way, something that might take more that 6months. Police sense how much they mess in peoples lives, the change needs to come from them.
