Wow....brings back the old days at the Oasis Ballroom when they were City Kidd. Good then, great now. Rock on, Tesla. You were the bridge between the hair bands and the grunge bands, in my mind. Underrated but have a cult following, I think.
@reno7721 The Manhattan Project was named after an 1898 Manhattan Earthquake caused by Nikola Tesla in Trinity, New York. -Tesla made earthquakes then he caused Tunguska
"Thirds, sixths, and ninths, are extraordinarily powerful." -John Keely --- "If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 & 9; then you would have a key to the universe." -Nikola Tesla --- "If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 & 9; then you would have a key to the 333." --Biblical Prophet --- The biggest footprint of mankind September 3rd, 1899 --- the waves in the bay were all beautiful groups of three. ...THREE = 3 + THREE = 6 + THREE = 9
@Haris4rings Mr. Big came out in 1988. Tesla's Mechanical Resonance album, which this song is on, is from 1986. I know what you mean in terms of similarity but Mr. Big was like a lot of bands in that they were just riding the wave of the existing style in popular "metal". However, Tesla was very unique in their sound. People called them glam metal but that was only because they toured with those bands. Tesla was really more "blues-based" and "grungy" and raw.
I love the end when they use the plasma ball to pay homage to the great Nicola Tesla. His Tesla coils made a whole room look like a plasma ball while he sat inside.

Dude????really??? A form of belief should not be warred over. Faith in one religion is faith in the same as yours because they are all base on the SAME PRINCIPALS. Don't fall into popular trend to HATE. I'm not trying to persuade you to either side. Just be a little less ignorant about the truth. God, Allah, Buddah, Christ, even "The Force" to lighten the matter, all share the same viewpoint on life. The world is in more of a shit hole now then ever. We need to stand together UNITED as AMERICANS
@enjoyingmylife How long's it been now??Obama haS NOT DONE A FUCKING THING except fuck over those who actually try and work for what they have....What a joke. Tesla does rock though, hwo did the political crap end up here anyway???
@SLP1811 By "fucking over" do you mean cutting their taxes or preventing the economy from spiraling into oblivion by keeping state governments funded, keeping most of the domestic auto industry intact, or making it possible for them to get private health care even when self employed or without employer benefits? The "political crap" always ends up here because every comment section on the internet is filled with people who believe every lie on talk radio/fox.
@molasky If that is how you see it I wish I could look through your rose color glasses. Frankly, I don't see it that way. As he puts our nation further in the hole and opens borders, lets more good jobs slip away replacing them with $10.00 an hour garbage. The only thing this guy is doing is trying to get another term for the sake of it. He does not have the best interest of of anyone in mind except his family and where they vacation. He is not interested in us standing together as American
@SLP1811 Appreciate your reply. I'm only talking facts. I'll respond in several pieces if that is ok. Let's take debt: the deficit is created by these things: reduction in revenue (2001/2003 tax cuts) and new structural spending obligations that were not "paid for": Medicare part D, Afghanistan and Iraq. Prior to these things we had a surplus every year and these things can be reversed. The rest of the current deficit just the effect of economic crisis itself on GDP.
@molasky I understand. I guess my point is the guy in office now has done nothing in my opinion. I certainly won't be voting for him unless drastic change occours, I just don't think he is equipped to do any good...Yes, he came in to many problems but in this Proud Americans eye he is not a leader either. God help us because the President can't
@SLP1811 Well, I can't speak to his personality, just policies. Your concerns are too vague to satisfy ('done nothing'? I heard he's done a litany of evil things!). But here's the deal: we live in a two party system. If you don't vote for him, then perhaps you don't vote. But if you vote for the "other guy" you'd be voting for the party that 1. opposed everything I just outlined -- even the things that were once their own ideas 2. shaped the basic economic vision that we live/suffer in today.
@SLP1811 Debt Part II: the "stimulus" (a combination of tax cuts and transfers to states to keep basic services in the crisis.) The latter did not raise the structural deficit at all because it was a single expenditure, not a new program. So the spending portion ceases to have an effect after the initial year. Only the *tax cut* part worsened the deficit (so you can see why the Bush tax cuts need to expire). Only one new program since 09: Health Insurance Reg, which does NOT raise the deficit.
@SLP1811 "Let good jobs slip away": If you believe in free trade/markets, that's a natural effect of global competition, right? If you don't believe in govt intervention in the economy then that's the way it goes. But the govt can actually do a few things and one is invest in "good job" training and another is slow the otherwise rapid decline of old "good jobs" in traditional industries like Auto. Also you can eliminate tax incentives for outsourcing. Check, Check and hopefully Check.
@SLP1811 And finally, he "opens borders": Here are the facts. All aspects of border enforcement ($, NG troops on the border, deportations) are up under Obama, and the number of illegal immigrants has declined! It's just flat out false to say that borders are more "open" now than they were two years ago. Deportations are at RECORD levels! -- Not rose colored classes, my friend, but reality. These are moderate, practical policies and they are ironically exactly what you are asking for.
I remember the 80s . nobody liked this crap except me and the other guys who didnt get laid, they did not play it on the radio or at the local bars only on MTV headbangersball and dial MTV.20 years ltr everyone wants it back because its GONE.
That's not true dude. Grunge did come but have you listened to groups like Gamma Ray and Avantasia(modern). Alice in Chains, The Offspring, Social Distortion,I seen these guys. They are no fag boys. They are solid. Tesla no doubt deserves more. Why they don't have respect. It's because people don't know who the band is. I'm convinced. It's like Strength by the Alarm everyone tells me I thought that was U2. Nope! People expect others to tell them about music. I'm done with them.
the no talent grunge shit just killed the best era for real music with great bands who had talent..Now what do we have???? JUNGLE YO YO RAP SHIT VULGAR..TO WOMEN AS ONE POINT OF HOW WORTHLESS IT ALL IS, Today there is no real music left, all fag boy bands, who suck period.
Love this band. By the way, did we all wear high-top basketball shoes in the 80's? Guilty as charged. Was I supposed to trade in my Air-Jordans for cowboy boots?
dont worry Edward he's not thinkin of the music, what matters the most, it's not english class it's about great music,,,say " of" how many times you like...Tesla rules
I'm done. These guys are beyond comparison.I seen them live, I've listened to the talent. I'm humbled. Check out Gamma Ray and Avantasia. Even the song by Motorhead called No Voices in the sky as well as Filter. The sound your looking for is there. You got to look. Peace be open minded.!
People always slag on the 80's music. But if you take away the big hair and strange cloths your left with some good Rock N' Roll that has survived the test of time. Great white,GNR,Motley Crue,Def leppard,Tesla all great bands with killer songs!
i agree with dogbloud.. kids today will neva know the music and the shows we had.. god i miss the 80's..first time i saw Tesla they opened for Def Lepperd on the Hysteria tour.. Good times.. good times
I saw Tesla twice in the late 80's. The first time in Calgary opening for Poison on the Open Up & Say Ahh tour in 1989 & the second time opening up for Motley Crue on the Dr. Feelgood tour in 1990 in Vancouver. Both times they were awesome. Sigh***those were the days. I feel sorry for kids today as they missed out on the amasing hard rock decade.
I grew up with these guys in Foothill Farms, Sacramento, California. They were just a garage band at the time. They started making it big, but never forgot thier roots!!! Helluva band!!!
hey SwordOfTruth3 u musta be a paranoic scrizophenic ass hole fucked . if you dont like BON JOVI,EUROPE,FIREHOUSE AND 80´S MUSIC please go to hell and dont come post comments here anymore . we are inviting you to never come back watching these videos then . if bastards stupid motherfucker that makes hip hop , rap and this shits be played on the radios nowasday
psychotic supper was an awesome album in its day, the intro to eddisons medicine still puts a big grin on my face.Great band from a great time for rock music...
omg I have tears from laughing so hard!!! awesome song but the drummer and lead singer have the same hair cut LOL and they fling their heads back OMG lol love it!I really do wish guys would wear tight jeans again LOL
A great tribute to Led Zeppelin's "Gallows Pole" from Led Zeppelin III. At the time we had to put up with suckass Bon Jovi, this was a breath of fresh air.
Bon Jovi is a great band!!! Zeppelin was the gods of rock!! This band is great but Bon Jovi musc deserves respect!! they've been one the greatest Hard rock band of the 80s!!!! Do you Known some albums of this band! Can you give me some titles of their best album???
Hey Tarot boy or girl!!! Bon Jovi is a great band! stop!!! I respect your opinion!! But between Jovi and Tesla there are a great difference!!Tesla is only a little Hard Rock band of 90s!!! Idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know that the first album of Tesla is of 86 and second of 89!!!! you have 43 years old but probably I known the rock music better than you!!! I don't use bad words only because I respect the hold people!!! For your information grand-Pa I have all discography of Tesla!! BUT for me Bon Jovi is better!! Bye Grand-Pa

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Tesla are a great band but this is just rubbish.
RedSkull1888 3 years ago
I remember the 80s . nobody liked this crap except me and the other guys who didnt get laid, they did not play it on the radio or at the local bars only on MTV headbangersball and dial MTV.20 years ltr everyone wants it back because its GONE.

Just in case you guys didn't know it, this is a Cover version. PHD (PH.D) released this song in 1980, and Tesla covered it several years later.

Tesla was good... They were rooted in gritty blues-rock as oppossed to slick areana rock like some of their contempoaries
blairp84 3 years ago
That's not true dude. Grunge did come but have you listened to groups like Gamma Ray and Avantasia(modern). Alice in Chains, The Offspring, Social Distortion,I seen these guys. They are no fag boys. They are solid. Tesla no doubt deserves more. Why they don't have respect. It's because people don't know who the band is. I'm convinced. It's like Strength by the Alarm everyone tells me I thought that was U2. Nope! People expect others to tell them about music. I'm done with them.

Compared to the great talented bands of the 80's
the no talent grunge shit just killed the best era for real music with great bands who had talent..Now what do we have???? JUNGLE YO YO RAP SHIT VULGAR..TO WOMEN AS ONE POINT OF HOW WORTHLESS IT ALL IS, Today there is no real music left, all fag boy bands, who suck period.

Love this band. By the way, did we all wear high-top basketball shoes in the 80's? Guilty as charged. Was I supposed to trade in my Air-Jordans for cowboy boots?
thestrawhead 3 years ago
LOL. Please, no cowboy boots, they are slippery but I do wish the 80's high tops make a comeback

People always slag on the 80's music. But if you take away the big hair and strange cloths your left with some good Rock N' Roll that has survived the test of time. Great white,GNR,Motley Crue,Def leppard,Tesla all great bands with killer songs!
