Al-Qaeda IS in Iraq, so why would you want to leave if you're so 'hawkish' about fighting al-Qaeda?
Plus al-Zarqawi somehow got into Iraq BEFORE the 2003 invasion. If he doesn't think Zarqawi (the founder of AQI) was al-Qaeda then he should say so. And if he's so naive as to think Saddam didn't know that Zarqawi was in the country then he should state that too.
God I can't wait until these two have a debate. Obama will pick McCain into pieces!!! Obama is far more intellegent, considering the fact that he graduated from Harvard in the TOP ONE PERCENTILE!!!
What change does Obama have? More Clintons, higher taxes and gas...opened boarders, more men to marry...wake up you bums, a liberal mind can never work out in America.
These arguments are faker then wwe wrestling, obama and mccain are puppets, they work for the same ppl, the milary industrial complex is playing you all like fools.
This just shows how much more intelligent Obama is than McCain. Obama knows the real problems that face America and he knows what needs to be done to solve them.
Im fairly sure that if every single person in the world could vote in this election, McCain would not stand a chance. He would be a complete foriegn policy disaster.
This is just what this country needs the most right now- An honest, well-spoken person with a track record showing his integrity, and the intellect to know what the country really needs and wants.
I look forward to cheering the fall of the Neocon regime that has choked this country into fear, ignorance, self-abuse, amnesia, identity-loss, and delusion, all for the purpose of keeping power in their pens and money in their pockets.
well i think obama means that obama wants to bring all troops home.meanwhile mccain AGREES that the war should continue. So Mccain is followin George Bush's War evasion.
Thats not even close to true! McCain is not for continuing the war, he understands that you can't just suddenly pull all troops out, that wouldn't be safe. This coming from a man that actually fought in a war. The only change Obama appears to want to bring is more social programs that I am guessing the majority of us in this room will be funding and very few will receive benefit from. You've gotta look beyond a catchy slogan. Its time to end the free hand-outs to people who don't even try!
Actually, McCain did have something to do with the U.S. invading Iraq.
McCain voted for the war, Obama didn't. That is why McCain (and the rest of the Senate and House that voted for authorization) are almost as guilty as the administration. I say almost, because I believe that they were lied to. The point here is that Obama has a better BS detector than McCain. So, "experience" isn't everything.
I'am voting for Hillary'08! Obama can't win and California proved this as did the states of New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts among others. He didn't even win Los Angeles!
I live in L.A. and we supported Hillary and Hillary will win L.A. again!
There are those who say that Obama "is not ready" or "not experienced." These same folks were devoted to Bush - a President who does not even know that analysts are predicting $4 gallon gas...a President who has taken us from a surplus to a record deficit..a President who has basically dishonored the Constitution by spying on Americans and eroding our basic freedoms. If Bush represents experience...bring on Obama! Change is coming!
Mccain's only strong point is the war. I'm afraid someone needs to tell him that there is more to being president then fighting wars. He seems to be absolutely content with the current healthcare system. My father was asked by a republican poll (he isnt really a republican now) what main issues concerned him currently (war, gas prices, economy) healthcare didnt even come up in the questions. It's as if republicans are just fine with the healthcare we have now.
Barack should force the other candidates to debate the essence of the Constitution. This is what appeals to Americans. A politician who shows a loyalty to the Constitution, and can eloquently speak on it through debate, will win the Presidency. Hillary and McCain will never be able to publicly speak with honor and respect for the Constitution. This is because they despise it. Their voting record is proof of this fact. This is how Barack wins the Presidency in 08!
For Barack Obama to win the Presidency, he is going to have to speak on what comes natural for him.. That is his love and respect for the Constitution. He can easily put all the other candidates on the defensive, if he talks about those who have sworn an oath to the Constitution, and have done everything in their power to subvert it. Hillary's campaign in essence is the hallmark of Constitutional subversion. So for him to win, his ace in the hole are speeches in respect to the Constitution.
In Venezuela Hugo Chavez Gained the elections by rethoric and nice words....and people went crazy thinking they have found their saviour and look how they are now....In the same situation of CUBA! Obama can use nice words but I bet he has second intentions behind those words! LETS SEE IF RETHORIC IS GOING TO CONVINCE BIN LADEN, HUGO CHAVEZ, PUTIN AND THE REST OF THE STATES ENEMIES.....HILLARY IS EMOTIONLESS BUT ITS OK BECAUSE WE DONT NEED A CHARISMATIC BEAUTY CONTESTANT< WE NEED A PRESIDENT!
If Obama or Hillary is elected, he/she needs to stand at every place that troops come back and tell every one of them that limps off with wounds and dismemberments and say, "Sorry! You didn't do your job! Turns out there weren't any radicals in Iraq until you went there. By the way, what happened to your leg? Oh, nonsense! There's no such that as 'terrorists'."
Change? Change what? Higher taxes to pay for entitlements. A weaker national defense and military. A weaker country as a whole. Don't want that kind of change. That kind of change you can keep liberal. Wake up libs!
If Hillary was running on her own behalf, I might have hesitated in my vote for Obama. But I see it that xPres Clinton wants to go around the constitution, by going back to the office through his wife. So, one pres suspends the Habius Corpus going around it by the patriot act, another wants to bypass the 2 term limit by climbing on his woman. With McCain hiding behind the "Bushs", I don't know what amendment will be tarnished on his hands. I like that Mrs Obama will keep the White house ant-free
This guy will tell you whatever you want to hear. Truly, truly slick. Very mezmorizing, and very scary. These are troubled times, and a charaxmatic person like this can swoop everyone away with very smoothe talk, and empty promises. Its ALL going to be better if he's president right? He'll get you a job, watch your kids, be your doctor, and Iraq and terrorism will just magically go away. Does it sound pretty naive to think these promises are true. Really, really think about that people.
We need a clean break from the Bush years. McCain has adopted nearly every dumb Bush idea for the past eight years. McCain would bring back all the Republicans who dragged us into Iraq and led our economy into disarray. Go Obama!
Be sure that one man Barack Obama is inspiring the hopes and dreams of so many of us OUR time has come finally...what is happening in america now is history in the making... be sure to be part of it vote for Obama ! OUR NEXT PRESIDENT !
OBAMA IS TOO COOL TO LET THEM SQUARES PUT WORDS IN HIS MOUTH AND WAY TOO SMART. AND SENCE HIS NAME IS AFRICAN AND NOT A SLAVE NAME THEY ATTACK HIM ON THAT AND NOT HIS POLICIES! lol
I am a Veteran the same as McCain. but I think he has over used his veteran/POW status to get to close to the White House. why would he be such a fool to follow Bush way of thinking. you would think that he would notice that America is struggling from this lack of caring for it's people.
I despise how politics has become all about cutting the other candidates down. Absolutely despise it.
Show me a candidate who can gain support by talking about their views on the issues of the country, without resorting to low politics or setting the Republicans and Democrats against each other, and put that candidate in office. Until then, I remain utterly disappointed.
I am so sick of people basing everything on expereince! All we have ever had was experienced presidents that messed America up! We need someone whos down to earth on our level and not politically jaded! OBAMA 08'!!!!
No useless missile defence spending, no fear mongering, no war kickbacks for big oil. When he is elected the price of oil will drop too because the military won't need that extra million barrells a day!
Barack Obama has accomplished as a legislator many things including:Sponsoring 820 bills(233which were for health care), authored 152bills, and cosponsored 427 bills. These bills include:The Government Transparency Act passed] (My favorite!)The Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act [Passed]The comprehensive Immigration Reform Act [Passed]The government Ethics Bill [Passed]The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill [In committee]

Obama answered a question on the Ellen show yesterday about what he would do on day 1 as President, but the Today Show left out the most important part of his response. Challenge them!

John McCain doesn't want to capture bin Laden any more than Bush did. The threat of bin Laden and al qaeda has only helped further Bush and the neocons' real agenda which has always been the control of Iraq's oil. Capturing bin Laden and destroying al qaeda would hurt their agenda...not help it.
If it were obama or clinton, I would rather have obama... I personally favor ron paul, but his backing just isnt strong enough. McCain is just.. nuts.. lol.. So all in all, i think Obama would run our country well. He has his head on straight, and know what to do, and how to do it. And he doesnt fabricate middle names, or try to bash other candidates.
Take a good look....that's our 44th President of the United States right there. What a huge upgrade over the last 8 years its going to be. I can't wait til Jan. 20, 2008 when he becomes the next commander in chief.
Right! Let's also not forget that we actually supplied weapons to Iraq and the Taliban durring the 80's. Republican's hold most of the responsability for helping create these problems.

So all in all, i think Obama would run our country well. He has his head on straight, and know what to do, and how to do it. And he doesnt fabricate middle names, or try to bash other candidates.

If its between him and clinton.. Id rather have him, tho personally I'd like Ron Paul to win... But Obama has his head on straight thats for sure.

If all goes well and Obama wins the nomination, it's going to be one hell of a race when he faces against McCain

It's amazing to me how people can still trust the republicans about this war after this 7 years of lies. Go Obama, tell them what they need to hear.
