@sammaritan12 Hey there. I'm usuing LuninuX OS which is based off Ocelot. I'm using ffmpeg on the command line to record, although I've heard about screencap software built into gnome 3. Haven't tried it yet but maybe if you try ctrl+although+shift+r from the desktop and the same to stop. That's what I've heard anyway.
Hey the desktop config you have there it looks like the latest linux mint and and a dock, but I need to know what recording software you use as when I tried RecordMyDesktop in Fedora 15 it doesn't show so I can't see it, is this the same problem with linux mint?
Once again great job on the vid. I was looking for an app that did what Gnome Do did with less dependencies for higher mobility across DEs. I'm giving this a go, I'm liking it more than Gnome Do atm and will probably stick with it for its mobility and intuitiveness.
To be honest, I preferred the MintMenu for searching, but it's now gone. I refuse to use GNOME Shell, it's the worst DE out... if I want a tablet interface on my desktop, I'll plead google to give me fucking Android, thanks GNOME.
@InfinitelyGalactic Synapse might now be my fave, simply for the idea of adding it to Lubuntu or Xubuntu. UbuntuStudio will be going over to XFCE in 12.4LTS, therefore your Synapse review has been very useful in advance. This video was either very well planned, a coincidence, or you're psychic. Whichever, it has been most convenient for me. :)
Are you going to do the vote thing again, where we get to choose from 2 review subjects for the following video? That was fun.
Well, there's no point I think to use this alongside Unity or Gnome Shell, unless it's faster and lightweight. I love Gnome-do when using Gnome 2. Simple and fast.
my keyboard lancher is synapse. I watch Gotbletu's vids a lot, and he shows the Kupfer (another keyboard lancher) has a lot more functionality that he "considers essentials" but synapse is still really good. gnome-do isnt even an option in my mind anymore cuz its stopped development as well as crash on occasion, plus kupfer and synapse are more light weight than gnome-do. So when it comes down to it, its mostly just how the gui works that makes it my choice over kupfer, on gnome.
How do you record this?
What program do you use?
