I recently used the Camera to video a morning family bike trip. The video came out good. Not the best, but better than expected. There were several vibration due to the road conditions and the nature of the $25 bike camera mount. However, the video came out well all things considered. However, I can not upload the actual videos because my wife forced me to promise that I wouldn't show our personal family moments to the "world."....Sorry. But I'm sure there are other samples out there by now....

I got a problem, today I turned my SL201 and the circular button of flash, macro, timer, and disp doesn´t works and the OK button doesn´t works too, can someone help me?

When recording a video then, after you've zoomed in the audio returns? is the audio capable of capturing loud noise's like engines at full power? please reply a.s.a.p

I really like this camera, only thing I did not like was that the usb cable is very short.

Oh yeah...As mentioned in someone else's comment. The video function does lose all volume when zooming in and out (while recording of course). This disruption in volume does show up on the video. So background buzzing noise and volume disruption during video are my main complaints at this point. ...................... P.S. Do yourself a favor and toss out the software that comes with the camera the minute you open your box. Worthless 1995 era type software.

Hi all. I'm the guy who originally posted video. Just a quick update. (Sorry to r1cc4rd000. I'm not a camera guru of any kind so I can't comment on Macro features.) Basically, I still own this camera. The battery life is fantastic for casual users. I've literally gone 3 weeks before needing to recharge. The background buzzing noise during videos is still annoying but livable. And I think the price has gone down. Don't get camera if you're looking for pro gear. Strictly casual. But still great

HI all, sorry, been lazy and haven't posted anything new regarding this camera. I work 7 days a week and try my best to maintain a social life which leaves me very little time to do other hobbies such as videos. Let me just say that the best thing I love about this camera so far is it's battery life. (And the fact that you don't need those damn AAA or AA batteries to use this camera). Other wise the camera is good all around. 10mp pix are as good as expected.

My biggest issue with camera is the noise it produces with videos. There's a very noticeable (but not truly horrible) background noise to every video. It resembles the noise of a lens camera opening & closing. The background noise doesn't destroy the video enjoyment, but it's definitely annoying if are trying to capture quality moments. So consider the video feature of this camera to be a neat little back up cam. Not a primary family cam. The child pix mode worked great on my 2 year old. Enjoy

has anyone experienced any disastication with this camera yet? I dont want to be 2 months along the line regretting it and cant return. So far everything seems great, only concern is the optical zoom being only 3x.

lol, quality is better and cheaper than sony . sony does not have its own lens technik . i will say that leica, cannon ,nikon > samsung >pentax>olympus> .....sony .  sony does not deserve that much money .

i love this camera, the smile detection feature is the best, u smile and it takes a pic, how awesome is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!! and the option that retouches the picture and gets rid of blemishes is like boss!!!!!!
