I worked with Bob on a few occasions when he played at The Wynd Theatre in Melrose, Scotland, and, let me tell you, the man is a true gent !!! Bob's really talented everyone can see that, but he's got nothing on, Rory Gallagher. If I had a choice to see Bob or Rory (when he was alive, God bless him) on a resonator guitar, I'd pick Rory everytime. I get the impression Bob has a really big ego, Rory on the other hand was a very humble man with more natural talent than any other blues guitarist in history. Rory was the best. Easily.

i can see where you're coming from, but i don't think it's a fair way to look at it really, rory sticks to blues music and nothing else, where bob plays a lot of different genres, and really pushes what you can do with a resonator, and he's not an arrogant guy, he's really down to earth. i emailed his site a while back about the guitars he plays and he replied personally to me, gave as much advice as i asked for
