The real problem in humboldt county is not pot, it's speed, heroin and oxy. They are the real trouble makers there, they grow weed to support their more expensive habits.

A more outright legalization would solve a lot of problems there. That way legit business people can grow in setups that are up to code, preventing fires. This would also push the tweaker/junkie growers out of business.

It is pretty sad. I lived there for a year and a half. Arcata is a cool little town with a lot to offer. It felt as if I was living in the middle of a park. well, it kinda is the middle of a park.

The negative elements from Eureka really bring Arcata down.
