@mrchargersrt8 Cars faster then a srt8 charger bud! Check out my video if you dont believe but I do run a 180sx with a hx45 turbo (holset setup) and the car is well tuned. It will run a mid/higher 12 on a good day. Not saying srt8 is not a nice car because they are and they are very fast, but I have a car setup for 1/4 mile racing and thats what it does best. Its been in close races with nova's mustangs, challangers, dsm's and even some fancy cars like g35's, etc/

Since the eclipse was never made in Japan, the parts to make it a JDM doesn't exist. JDMs don't exist on the US roads anyway, because they'd immediately be ticketed and the car would be seized for not meeting US crash ratings.

the engine can be assembled in japan. i have a 92/93 DSM body made here in US but engine trannsm.. stock from Japan... i am a tech @ Mitsubishi thats how i know.

Yes mitsu and chrysler merged to make the eclipse/talon/laser and was built in US. I had a 6 bolt swap on mine but i ordered motor from Japan. It had 60,000 miles on it. Japan has to get rid of or replace motor before a certain mileage for emissions. The 4g61, 4g63 is all jap. evo, galant, etc.

@te37drift i agree with you about honda being most likely the most RELIABLE, but that's it, as far as speed goes no, not then, not now, not ever, period....o and if you look at statistics there are very few dsm cranks that "walk it out" like you say, every engine has its defects from factory, but otherwise 4g63 is a very reliable AND fast if you take care of it ;)

@yvorius Are you serious? The eclipse is a DSM. It's a product of a join between Mitsu and Chrysler. Made in america. Diamond=Mitsu. Star=Chrysler. Diamond Star Motor. Eclipse, talon, and laser are all DSM's.
