This is a poor attempt at stuffing a great book into a video. It seemed they were more focused on slandering Creationist than actually presenting the ideals of the novel. You guys get an F.
incidentally the gorilla felt himself uniquely qualified to express this having lived her entire life as a prisoner... the premise that we are all prisoners of our own failed culture.. shift your perspective!
I think this videQo is great in that it demonstrates a process of these two lads taking ownership of the ideas presented by Quinn by interpreting them. Bravo. This is an exercise that would benefit anyone who has read Quinn's works.
...not ! There is no such thing as a "wrong" thing to do just as there is no such thing as a "right" thing to do . Morality is dogmatic in essence. There are, though, things that work, and things that don't work. Plus, civilization is not against the Law of Limited Competition, but is subject to the law.
Takers as people often referred to as "civilized." Particularly, the culture born in an Agricultural Revolution that began about 10,000 years ago in the Near East; the culture of Ishmael's pupil.
Leavers as people of all other cultures; sometimes referred to as "primitive."
A story as an interrelation between the gods, man, and the Earth, with a beginning, middle, and end.
Lmfao! Yes. If Ishmael really did swear in the book, i'd want to read it a third time. Except..you missed a lot of the main points..in his 'metaphors'.
Nice parody, but personally I think that his views are important. It's a degradation but I guess that's freedom of speech. I hope you can convey it to someone, and make them reach out for the book.
Started reading ishmael, great book. I dont think you capture the book, but its rediculous enough to be funny and thus be worth watching. three stars. Good attempt
yeah i agree...poor attempt at presenting Quinn's ideas. for anybody who is interested you should read his books.....way better than this.

In this way, the civilized have placed themselves in an utterly futile contest with the environment, a contest the ecosystem certainly will not lose.

Are there not as many 'ways to live' as the total number of living things who will ever live in the entire Universe?
This is certainly a large number of 'ways to live', but it is not an infinite number of 'ways to live'.
So, there must also be 'ways to not live'.
The civilized are so unfortunate as to have chosen a 'way to not live', and to convince themselves their selection is 'The One Right Way to Live!'.
continued....

The guy in the video says:
"Civilization would be the wrong thing"
The pseudo-gorilla replys:
"Exactly"
B says:

Ishmael defines:
Takers as people often referred to as "civilized." Particularly, the culture born in an Agricultural Revolution that began about 10,000 years ago in the Near East; the culture of Ishmael's pupil.
Leavers as people of all other cultures; sometimes referred to as "primitive."
A story as an interrelation between the gods, man, and the Earth, with a beginning, middle, and end.
To enact is to strive to make a story come true.
A culture as a people who are enacting a story.
