No. They were Sarmatians or Saka from Central Asia. Their language were east-iranian or indo-iranian. The basic of modern bulgarian language is still half-Avestan half-Sanskrit.

@davailbg No evidence for Saka language. There is no written text by Sakas. Sakas are just Indo-Europeanized Dahas who are of Subartu origin. Original Bulgar languages are Old Bulgarian and modern Chuvash tongue. Bulgars are Onogurs who come from Scythian-Sarmatians and Tatars who come from Xiongnu.

Perhaps for you it is not known Scythian language, but in scientific books and articles, everything is written. You just have to read more. Read about Bactria-Margiana Archaeological Complex, read about Khotanese-Saka language, read about who were Parthians, read the Avesta, where Turan is a land where livepeople (Tura) speaking Aryan (Indo-Iranian) language.

@davailbg BMAC, Andronovo complexes are areas for Indo-Aryan expansions. Hurrians/Subarians/Sarmatians/­Dahas were in the core of these complexes because they were influenced by Indo-Aryans. Most of folks who had been into Andronovo complex were of Mezopotamian stock.

Yes, the tribe of MIGA in Media probably are Sumerian Magi, and Zoroastrianism is full of Mesopotamian and Egyptian influences, but the language in Central Asia to the invasion of the Turks was Iranian.

The presence of many Sumerian words among Turkic vocabulary does not mean that the Sumerians were Turks, but means that the Turks have been in contact with, or less assimilated parts of mesopotamians.

@TurkishIsTurkic In fact, Indo-European mythology is based on Indian mythology and look at Greek and Norse mythology. Well, Greek and Egyptian mythologies are influenced by Sumerian though. But Turkic, Finnic, Ugric, Mongolic, Tunguzic shamanism based mythologies don't have a certain pantheon. This is probably a native European tradition. Shamanism is not unique to Siberians. It was born in Europe and practiced by Caucasoid people. Siberians learnt it through non-native Siberian people.

@TurkishIsTurkic Those non-native Siberian folks were of Kurgan origin and they were a bunch of native European stock. Yenisseian Kyrgyz people were caucasoids and they have carried a strong frequency of R-M17. So, ancient Bulgarians were Onogurs (Sabirs) who were influenced by Indo-Aryans and later Turkicized by Altaian Tatars. I can't claim that they were tengriists but they shared probably the same tradition with Magyars. Well, at least, we can see clues of Tengrism in Europe.

@davailbg That's true. I don't claim Sumerians were Turks, though, they weren't. I notice that Sumerian and Scythian components were in the background of formation process of Turkic tribes in the Xiongnu union. Turkic is an admixture between Iranian tribes (I don't know how much is it true to call them Iranian because most of Indo-Iranian folks were of native European and Mezopotamian origin who have been influenced by Iranian rulers through the Indo-Aryan expansion) and native Altaians.

Tozi kalendar e chisto kopie na kitaiskiat. Nishto novo v nego, osven che dumi i imena na zivotni sa zamesteni s tezi na tjurkite.. t.e. bulgarite sa bili tjurksi narod, polzvali sa kato ostanalite tjurkski narodi shatri/yurti i sa pochitali boga na tjurkite narodi - Tengri (Tangra).

Абе чудна игра със символи, но какъв е извода? Примерно символите от Таоизма, Хиндуизма и Будизма, както и 12-те животни, които точно пасват на Китайския календар точно. Красиво, вярно иначе. Има много хора които са си играли да търсят общите неща в световните символи.
