  • If you don't mind metric units,you can go to the local high school track and use the lane for the one hundred meter dash to get a pace count. If you don't know which lane markings to use then go to the track when no one is using it and use the inner lane to get a pace count for one lap(400 meters),divide by four. Please respect the runners and stay out of their way!

  • @gammondog That's a good tip, especially for flat ground. For uneven terrain, one really needs to do their pace count on sight.
