I have to say, even if this movie isn't wonderful, that is a VERY creative take on the Cheshire Cat and you just have to give the film points for that. Most unique one I've seen yet, the others are pretty much the same.

@TheBeatlesFan420 Actually that looks like part of some TV show. I think possibly an award ceremony or something judging from the group of girls and how one was saying 'Catagory'. Funny part was the timing. "CATAGORY!!!!" And then Dim and Dum think before jumping up to yell "US!!!"

Big red rotten robots! I forgot about that part! LOL This scene scared me when I was a kid. I must have been 4 or 5 when I watched this all the time. My mom didn't buy it. She taped it off of TV and my sister and I watched it until the pastic tape on the case broke off. I love this movie!

It is not 100% clear why Carroll named this character 'Cheshire Cat'. Its origin is unknown, but it may have originated from a sign painter in Cheshire, who painted grinning lions on the sign-boards of inns in the area. or when you take a good look at the 'Alice Window' in Christ Church, Oxford, you can see 3 grinning animals at the top of the Liddell's family arms. at one time, Finally, the Cheshire Cat might be inspired by a carving in Croft Church.

No, Hugs and Tugs weren't completely cut out. I believe they went around Care-a-Lot tossing newspapers to all the houses in the very beginning.

I remember parts of this so I'm so glad that you posted it for us! I remember thinking that Tweedle Dee and Dum look like the little furry assistant to No Heart in the t.v. series because the voice sounds very familiar(I think his name was beastly or beasty).

P.S. I am so glad that they are bring back the Care Bears. They are 100% better than most of the stuff out there right now.

My guess is that using their power must cost them energy each time they use it, or something. The same kind of energy we use when we run and stuff. They use it as a power or something, and I guess they were trying to preserve their power or something. Don't know for sure, but that's my guess Babsbunny29 as far as trying to answer your question.

I don't remember this part at all. lmao, I see the makers of this film tried to incorporate hip hop with a rapping chesire cat. How 80s is that? It wasn't long until we saw another rapping cat; MC Skat Cat from the Paula Abdul video "Opposites Attract".
