I like it, it reminds me of the first bike I ever built, a hybrid SL100k1/Cb100k0 that had both rear rims laced up for fatter rubber, stripped down and repainted, I'd never heard the word "cafe" or "bobber" back then, it was 1991 and I was sixteen. I wish to hell I had that bike now! Yours really takes me back. Sounds like you need to get that exhaust and carb into harmony. A bike like that should start on the very first kick over. But I guess that's the nature of a first start! Is it fixed now?
My XL350 always started in one or two kicks, but I kept it stock. You don't have enough back pressure for that thumper. That's why it doesn't want to start or idle.
@monkokong - beautiful bike! terrific job and looks super clean. Can i ask, you running 17" rims? what width's? are they relaced stock hubs or after market? did you modify the frame? what tank is that from? and finally, where did you get your solo seat from? thanks a bunch and again great job!!
