i have been mulling over the possibiltiy of cold fusion. It seems hot fusion is based on crashing particals together that includes heavy water or water that includes hydrogen with an extra neutron. As far as i know it could be a neutron fusing that causes the energy emission. We are talking extreme fusion or H bomb energy release level heat. Cold fusion would requre some third element or even fourth element. One to fuse the elements and another to spirit the energy to a remote point as electric.

If huge amounts of energy could come from a device, people would be figuring out how to make bigger and better weapons with it. Unhappily that is just human nature. It is not so much critizism as a statement of how things are. One solution is to decentralize the death grip the of the fossil fuel economy. i saw this thing on Paula's show about energy storage by compressed or liquified air. There are efficent air pressur motors. It seems like could be as good an energy storage method as a battery maybe better. Collect solar, store as compressed or liquified air. It could done on a small scale anywhere there is an open field and a place to put solar cells.

i was a Willard Gibbs fan at the University. The way i see it someone should have been smart enought to go beyond jabber by now if there is zero point energy. But social status or power is not dependent on discovery so much as it is dependent on conpiracy of like minded dishonest individuals to oppress others. Top level people would want to keep and not share any new inventions or discoveries. In a way we are in a new kind of a dark age where discoveries are not open and status remains king.
