I got this game as a gift a couple of weeks ago and I'm loving it. The only thing I don't like about it is DC universe characters. I don't think they mix very well with MK. If they wanted to mix MK with another franchise they should have picked Marvel. I can imagine Scorpion fighting Wolverine that would have been awesome but Scorpion Vs Batman is kind of lame.

Thank you for giving this game a just review. -HungryJake (Former Rank 2 MK v DC Xbox live 2009). I'm so impressed with what the creators accomplished. In my opinion this is the best fighter ever made. Within the set parameters of the games physics engine the combos are almost completely freestyle. The practiced yet real time improved modern day chess matches i used to have with some of the best players from around the nation were a truly remarkable gaming experience. Thank you everyone.

This is definitely not designed as a competitive fighter. It's a silly, fun fighter. And if anyone basis their enjoyment on a fighting game solely by how much gore it produces, they're missing out on this game. I found it quite enjoyable; and considering Green Lantern is my favorite DC character, I loved playing him.

The Sonic franchise is long overdue a mercy killing, and the others are NOT popular enough forerunners to sell a fighting game on. Game and Watch and R.O.B. were bonus characters- they didn't try to sell the game on them. Overall, if it came down to characters Sony would have the stronger roster. Sega hasn't been strong for years.

In the Marvel vs Capcom games, I don't reconize half of the capcom characters cause I didn't have their games, that doesn't make them not fun to play. And there is a huge market of people who remember all of SEGA's 90s characters, and series like Virtua Fighter are still going on. I challenge you to find enough people who haven't heart of Shinobi or SoR to justify dismissing this.

1. fighting games from Capcom require more strategy and button memorization.

2. Mortal kombat mostly focuses on easy to do special moves and quick, "pick up and play" antics.
