I had the surgery 12/24/2009 and I'm still in alot of pain, I'm in pain right now but i'm so scared to go back to the hospital. I been back and forth after the date, they told me that I have a few more on my right ovary, and now I'm scared that another one has ruputerd again but I know that I have to go though.

I was just diagnosed at the hospital yesterday with an ovarian cyst on my left ovary and its 5.5cm large. I was doubled over in EXTREME pain which is what made me go to the E.R. I am supposed to go see a gyno and have them determine what should be done, is this life threatening, should I be scared? The doctor at the hospital said that the extreme pain was probably from a partial rupture during menstration, should I worry?

im in bed now ( 1 month for recovery), just get off from the hospital 2 days ago, i got same surgery they take off an ovarian cyst ... most painful thing in my whole life ... my pain start at 7 pm and call 911 at 11 pm to the hospital then take me to emergency surgery .. i lost 428 ml of blood inside ... the abdominal pain means you are bleeding from inside .. if you dont get an emergency surgery you can die .. Thanks God we are alive =)

I was dx w/ a ruptured ovarian cyst almost two months ago in the ER. They told me not to be concerned. I have been in excruciating pain ever since. I went back a week after the initial diagnosis in extreme pain and had a CAT scan done. The doctor told me they found nothing and that I had a simple "back ache"  I got my records on Monday. I looked through them and found that the rupture had occured on my left ovary and that a mass larger than my right ovary exists. Help!
