@MadonnasMrDj The original "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" was an adaptation of the first book in the Millennium Trilogy. The one with Daniel Craig is ALSO an adaptation of the first book from the Millennium Trilogy. So yes, it IS a re-make considering it's already been made.

@iMDizzzzzy Except that it's NOT a remake, since they are not RE-MAKING the Swedish adaption. They are simply making another adaption of the novel. To me, it doesn't matter which version came first (Sony had the rights to the film version before the Swedish producers did, by the way!).

What matters is how good a film it is, and how close it is to the novel. The Swedish version was neither.
