  • I have a macbook pro, a roland SPDS for sampling and running a bass drum and snare trigger. and just recently bought this presonus firebox u seem to love. I was just running my trig to the spds and right out to a PA but i would really like to sample right from my compy using toontracks drum kit from hell or whatever. I know nothing how do i do this. if u can contact me at jasonk.greenlea@gmail.com as i have a lot of questions for you. HELP ME!

  • hey how much does the ret fusion pro cx cost? i cant find any price on internet ):

  • ey up,thanks for all the info,1 thing,u do not need the prosonis firebox,im using asio 4 all, ableton live, trigger io,i av no latency issues ,so i saved £260 or summut like that,i think u shud say that u do not need the prosonis firebox, people on a budget might go out & buy the firebox when they do not need it,asio 4 all is free, cheers mikey, hope u aint offended, but help the people with not that many funds, ross

  • can we hook that trigger set to our regular drum set??

  • If your firebox is run through firewire port and the I/O is usb,how is the firebox running the I/O? Firewire and USB are 2 completely different things.Explain how that works.

  • I get more latency with the I/O than I do using a drum module.

  • Zero latency my ass! No such thing,Maybe 11ms or 12ms But not zero.

  • Hello Mike. I'm from Brazil and I'm thinking about buying the trigger io. I wonder if the pads are 10 stereo inputs and if I can divide each of them and connect two pads on each. Thanks! [Muito Obrigado!]

  • Damn! Are you rich?

  • Someone tell me what BFD stands for. (I'm new to e-drums)

  • @ytsephill BFD2 is the name of drum software made by the English company FXpansion. It's similar to ezdrummer, AddictiveDrums, etc., etc.

  • question!!!

    6:20-8:00

isnt all that stuff kinda pointless, (except thresh)

since you plug into a laptop with software??

  • The presonus firebox does not do zero latency - no interface does. Not to mention that the firebox latency isn't very good compared to other decent audio interfaces. I'd expect around 14 ms latency with that setup.

  • hey mikey...couple questions about the alesis io... once u get the sounds(kit) of the software (addictive drums) for example... do the sounds save on the alesis io?? or do u have to constantly have to turn on ur laptop for it to run? can any module do that? and last.. wat do u think of the roland spd-s sampler? can it run those softwares u talk about??? please get back to me...trying to figure out wat i need..

  • @drummaburrito. that would literally make no sense that the drum would say onto the I/O. the I/O is simply just the gate for the drums to be interpreted by the computer as drums. which would then go into BFD2 which would make the hits sound like drums. and the sps-s sampler is good to sample. but then again its all about how you use stuff not necessarily how good it is.

  • PreSonus firebox: zero-latency only for monitoring (DSP). You have several ms latency for sample playback! Fast solution: RME Fireface with 1.5ms!

Alesis Trigger I/O doesn't benefit from USB. It's not faster than other interfaces using MIDI. People have reported Alesis Trigger causing latency of 6ms upwards. Add an average audio interface = more than 10ms latency (usually 13-15ms)! It's in the ballpark you'll notice when you play! Just try it! (comparisons: Ddrum3 ~ 3ms, Roland TD-20 ~ 4.5ms).

  • The Trigger IO is much fast via USB. And usually a computers sound card just doesn't cut it.

RME is good... but you can also try ASIO4ALL which is FREE!

Firebox is excellent also, and has 6 outputs, and I think universally, I've found that it can get you down to about 1.7 ms.

If you have 13-15 ms of latency, you're not using the right equipment.

    -mikey

  • Don't have 13-15ms latency. I use Ddrum4 with 2.22.5ms overall latency from pad hit to sound output. What I want to say: Alesis Trigger I/O+PC+audio Interface has noticable latency to some degree definitely more than dedicated drum modules. „zero latency feature is for monitoring input signals on firebox. Not for sample playback. Has been stated that Alesis doesn't really benefit from USB. So you don't cut out MIDI translation latency entirely with it. True values would be interesting.

  • don't know why it displays "2.22.5ms" . Wanted to write: DDrum 4 overall latency varying from 2.2ms up to 2.5ms from pad hit to sound output.

    Cheers :)

  • hey mate, how many presets does the bfd2 have?i have a td9sx vdrums,is it possible to transfer the programs and presets of the bfd2 to the td9 module,so you can use it on live and if its possible how to do it?cheers.

  • whyd you go with alesis ?

I didn't like mine one bit....

  • Well could someone pls tell me what to hell RET-Drum means? Googled it a few times but

still didn´t find out! (sorry for being a noob ;-)

  • RET Drums are the first software based electronic drum set! RET Percussion is the company that makes the RET Drums. They all have real drum heads, real wood shells, and is the first e-drum kit to be made to work with Virtual Percussion Software like EZDrummer, Addictive Drums, or Superior Drummer 2.0.

    Does that make sense?

    -mikey

  • HI MICKEY.Iwant to know how can i get 0 Latency with my configuration, because i have roland td-20 and a m-audio 1814 firewire, but i put the buffer on 64 samples on my caudio card , but i hear pops when i play.

    I have a INTEL Core 2 cuad 2,4ghz with 4 gb Ram.

i play with 128 samples on my m-audio, but still have a little bit of latency. Can you help me with that??

    Thanks a lot!!!!

  • hey man i want to use the alesis IO with acoustic drum triggers, is there a way to use triggers for acoustic cymbals? also, i know youre all about bfd2(its tight) but is there anything similar to it for a little cheaper?

  • There are really good e-cymbals out there that would be easier to use! I would recommend finding them on my site: VIrtualPercussionOutlet(.com)

I like BFD2, but I find myself using Superior Drummer 2.0 or Addictive Drums much more. Check those out... also on the site!

Tons of other gear that might interest you, also.

    Thanks for the comment!

    -mikey

  • Hey Mikey. These dual- trigger inputs... Would I be able to use a stereo to left/right Y cord to trigger two different drums with the same input?

I sure could use a single device with 20 inputs.

Right now I'm having to use three different modules and a small mixing board to accommodate my nasty drum addiction.

And I'm not even a drummer. I play strings, man. But I have heard that that IO has great potential, and it's much cheaper than a good module that still doesn't have enough inputs.

    Thanks.

  • You sure can use the Y splitter to use 2 single zone drums/cymbals.

I hear ya on the drum addiction!

If you go to VirtualPercussionOutlet(.com) you can get the Trigger Io's, and Superior Drummer 2.0 which is now compatible with multiple MIDI inputs, so you can use 2 or more Trigger Io's!

    It's sweet.

    -mikey

  • Is that Alesis module able to hook up to a PA rather than a computer?

  • No, it's only a trigger to MIDI device. It contains no sounds/samples directly on it.

You still need a computer, and I would invest in an external sound card with outputs for going out to a PA.

    Does this help?

    -mikey

  • Hi Mikey I watched all your video made perfect solution! I have a few questions for you. first whether it is possible to connect the alesis trigger and laptop without firebox and if possible how much the delay then? If you do not use as a firebox external sound card such as the sound quality with a standard sound card, I have a notebook HP 530th .. Windows XP Pro SP3. I hope fast response:) Sorry for my English ...

  • If you don't use an external sound card, and you're using a PC computer, there are a few free audio drivers that you can download (ASIO4ALL).

It will help greatly with latency (which you WILL have unless you have a really nice standard sound card already).

    Does this help?

    -mikey

  • how much do the stealth drums cost alone? not the trigger io or firebox or whatever. please reply soon!

  • The Stealth LE is $1,995 and the Stealth Pro is $2,495. VERY good price when you consider a Roland kit can cost $6,000!!!

  • Mikey,

Ok, so I'm back with another question. In your setup you show the Alesis trigger i/o with only the USB out going to the computer and not the midi-out at all. Is BFD2 able to utilize direct USB connections without the use of the midi-out? How are you making BFD2 work without a midi connection/conversion?

Can other types of software (say Reason 3.0) do this if that is the case (i.e. go usb direct without actually utilizing the midi-out of the i/o)?

    So many questions! Thanks.

  • Correct. I don't use the MIDI output on the Trigger Io because a) the MIDI out is slower and adds too much latency to the whole VPT setup... and b) it's cheaper than buying a MIDI-USB device!

USB sends the same information, so all programs will see it!

    -mikey

  • Mikey,

Love the setup. My only question is, what is the configuration of inputs from drums to computer? That is, what is the links from drum outputs to the IO, to the hard drive, to the firebox, to the computer, and what kind of cables are being used for each step (i.e. mic, usb, firewire, quarter inch, etc) A diagram would be very helpful ;) I guess I'm just a little confused since I didn't see any midi cable coming out of the IO.

    Thanks!

  • I found the answer in an older comment. Sorry!

  • No worries! Check out some of the other videos, also. One of the VPT Vlogs explains the connection process also.

    Thanks for watching... SUBSCRIBE!

    -mikey

  • Hey Mikey tell everybody that these Alesis I/O doesn't work with most Roland drum pads. If you own for example, a 3 zone Roland pad your SOL with the Aleis I/O.

  • I think it's a good point to say that the Alesis Trigger Io doesn't accept 3 zones. And there are a lot of people out there that are trading in their Roland kits for RET kits because they can't get it to trigger software with the mesh heads.

However, I use the Trigger Io, and I don't miss 3 zones. It would be neat to have, but I don't miss it.

    -mikey

  • you can try CY 12 R/C by sending the signal down two cables works, but just takes up twice as many trigger inputs per pad. So you need 2 trigger inputs.

    Sorry for my English

  • Comment removed

  • can i try with the alesis io2 isted of the presonus firebox for latency problems?

  • As long as the io2 controls latency, then yes. I don't know anything about it, though :-(

I'll have to check it out!

    -mikey

  • you lucky motherfucker and how much did that shit cost you huh like im guessing 20,000$ for that entire kit LOL

  • Hahaha... the kit is only about $2,495. That's thousands less than most kits that size!

    -mikey

  • LOL only 2,495$ LOL geesh I cant even afford 400$ can you buy it for me lmao.. =D

  • Yes it helps me very much, many thanks Mickey !

I guess the Firewire connexion is very important for the firebox zero latency, isn't it ??

I have a DDrum (4 toms, snare, kick, HH, crash + ride + sound module) but intend to improve that kit for the recording of SYRENS CALL's 3rd CD with an ALESIS I/O + metallic e-cymbal (Surge?) + VH-12 Vdrum HH + firebox + Steve Slate Drums software.

What do you think of that set-up?

    Thanks again.

    Seb

  • The setup sounds good! What kind of kit are you using?

    -mikey

  • Hi there,

thanks for the great videos !.

just a question: can you detail the connection between the Alesis I/O the Firebox and the PC please? Thanks

  • Thank you!

Okay: Drums->Trigger Io... Trigger Io->Computer (USB)... Firebox->Computer (Firewire)

The Trigger Io and the Firebox are going to the computer separately, with the Firebox selected within your software as your audio driver.

    Does that help?

    -mikey

  • Hey Mikey!

First off all, thanks for all your videos. You're much help for a lot of guys who wants to know more about VPT Drumming. I have a question about the Alesis Trigger io. I play a lot with vst librarys using my Roland TD-3 module. I was wondering if the Alesis Trigger io could provide me an extra output so i can play with two crash cymbals (which i already do now) but also a 4th tom. My TD-3 only has 10 inputs. If not what do you recommend me to do?

    Greetz,

    Jasper

    The Netherlands

  • Damn,

Should have been watching the whole video, your answering my question so perfectly!

  • Hey man... I've been there! I know exactly what you'd be going through.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

You can also visit my site:

    VirtualPercussionOutlet(.com)

    Tons of info there!

    Thanks, Chappiesss!

    -mikey

  • hello again my friend...i have one last question and i'm going to buy the ret ns2pro-ex set...can i put a hi-hat stand on this set...??sorry for my english..

  • Your english is great, friend!

Where will you be buying this kit? I would highly suggest that if you like my videos, check out my site:

    VirtualPercussionOutlet(.com)

We offer free support, and best prices! Discounts if you mention the videos!

Yes, you can use hi-hat stands, you'll just need a hi-hat controller (I can get one for you).

    Let me know!

    -mikey

  • hello my friend..ihave one question..the new v-drums(roland) or ret..??

  • The newest Roland pads will never be as good as the RET drums.

    -mikey

  • Agree!!! lol

  • what is the best cheapest firewire interface? Is it PreSonus FireBox?

  • Cheapest? Not the Firebox...

Best? Depends on what you need.

The cheapest best one for me is the Firebox, but you may not need multiple outputs.

M-Audio makes a few good ones.

    -mikey

  • Nice video! Thanks for doing this, really helped me, but I have a question: You have triggers wich are connected to the sound card I suppose.. does it matter what cymbals you use?? or the cymbals are part of the triggers?? and one more question, the PADS of the kick drum, or the snare, or the toms is the most important part for better quallity??

    (sorry for my english) Thanks!

  • Great English!

YES. The drums are the most important part, I think. You still need a good interface and software, but the sensitivity of the drums is so important.

The cymbals are electronic, too. They feel real because they are metal!

    Thanks for the message!

    -mikey

  • so you recommend RET because it looks pretty much the same like acoustic?

I'm sorry mate, but many drummers who buy e-kit don't really give a damn about how it looks. They just want the sound. So many of them buy cheap rubber pad.

    BTW, BFD rock!!!

  • Unfortunately, most people op for the cheap kits. Then they send me messages like this:

"So, my drum set doesn't work or respond anything like yours. Why not?"

All I can say is that you get what you pay for, ya know?

    And, yes, BFD rocks!

    -mikey

  • Hey I have an Alesis USB Pro with the Surge cymbals and BDF lite.

I have it sounding pretty damn good but how much more subtle sounds can I get from BDF2?

  • I would like to see a video for this setup :-)

Also, if you like BFD Lite, you'll poop your pants when you see BFD2! The control is much better, and there is less tweaking and fine tuning performance with the software.

    VirtualPercussionOutlet(.com)

That's where you need to go to get it!

    -mikey

  • Are all the back channels Stereo channels? (i mean the pad in channels)

  • By "stereo" do you mean dual triggers?

    Yes.

If you're referring to the software, meaning each drum sound is a stereo sample... also yes!

    -mikey

  • hi mikey,

i have a apple G5 computer with a digidesign Mbox 2 pro (with pro tools le).

i want to buy the BFD2,the alesis trigger IO and the DDRUM acoustic drumtrigger set.

will that works equally well as your set?

and which hihat would you recommend (roland VH-11, yamaha RHH130,...)?

    thanks,

    jan

  • That should work very well. I have the Mbox mini and it works excellently.

I don't know how well the acoustic triggers work with this setup, but I'm sure you could get it there.

I use the FD-8 from Roland, and that does the trick.

Sorry for the delay... I must have been sleeping when you posted that ;-)

    -mikey

  • im using rolands v-drums, but i really love the way the RET's look

  • Yeah, man... they look great 'cause you can customize them. AND they feel real because they have real heads on them. Feel free to come play them at NAMM.

  • o heck ya i will def check them out. do you by chance know what the rules are about bringing video cameras in? The badges we get are... i believe buyer (diff from visitor) badges, (company makes led type screens for stuff like shure electronics), figured you might know since you do all the video work + go to namm :P.

  • That's an amazing set up.

How much just for the kit?

  • Thanks!

I don't recall. I've added some extras, but probably around 2,200 or so... but that was a long while ago.

    -mikey

  • I see you're using my Roland hi-hat controller..lol

I play the Roland TD-9S V-Drum Kit..and I've got to say, I love them. I use a pretty nice recording software program, and yes, I do get latency when recording..but it's not really that much of a problem. Would be nice to have 0 though, true.

  • Yeah, I've been using the Roland because RET suggested it. It's been a good pedal.

Which DAW are you using? I use Cubase SX3 usually.

  • I use Music Maker 12 Deluxe from a company called Magix. Very user-friendly, and gets the job done nicely.

I know several people who use Cubase, and I will someday probably try it, too.

  • I'll check out Music Maker 12 Deluxe for sure. Cubase is really sweet, too.

Thanks for your awesome comments... have you subscribed yet?

    -mikey

  • No, not yet..was about to ask you the same thing..lol

  • i use a mac for design. i'll see where to select this once i receive it.

  • Did you ever get it all figured out?!

    -mikey

  • where do you select it as a sound card in your mac? i will be using the drum module as standalone apps.

  • I'm not sure. I never used a mac before. And I haven't used the Firebox either. What are you using a mac for? Recording?

If you're using drum software as a standalone, you can select it in your GUI preferences under the Audio section.

  • hey can you explain FIREBOX some more.

i am on a mac will be running alesis i/o and BFD2 standalone.

i don't understand where you set it up in your setup.

  • The Firebox cuts out latency. He talks more about it in the other videos.

You have to choose it as your audio driver. You plug it in with a firewire cable, but you plug the drum into the Aleis i/o. Then the i/o uses a USB cable to go into the computer also.

  • NO MUSIC just mouth ?????

  • Hahah... check out the other videos! Number 4 has all the playing!

    Thanks for watching!

    -mikey

  • You really do a great job ... thank you for taking so much time to share with us ... take care ...

    Don ...

  • THESONARIAN,

That means so much to me. Thanks again.

    -mikey

  • Hey Mike,

    Awwsome video's you make.

I have a medeli dd-506 elektronic drumkit with ez-drummer software.

What do i need to get my ez-drummer sound on my kit.

If i go from my kit to a midi-interface and from there to my laptop. Does that make it work already?

    Grtz from holland

    Harm

  • Harm,

    Greetings from the US!

You should make sure you have your MIDI interface selected as your MIDI input within EZDrummer. Also, consider downloading the free ASIO4ALL audio driver. It will help with latency while you play. Just google it!

Let me know how it goes!

    -mikey

  • mikey i have a question, i don't own an electronic drum kit but i can create drumlines with a guitar software i own called Guitar Pro 5 (maybe you've heard of it). anyways with this software i can export the drums i create into midi or wav files. my question is the following, can i import these files into the BFD2 and give them a real acoustic sound, or do i have to own an e-drumkit to take full advantage of the BFD2? cool video by the way, great explanations.

  • You certainly CAN import your own wav files into BFD2! They make it really easy to do, also.

You don't have to own a VPT setup like this to run BFD2. Some users also use keyboards to trigger the MIDI info.

Thanks for the comment. You know I appreciate it :-)

    -mikey

  • dumb question mikey but why cant you use the module to trigger the samples? i have a roland td3 and superior drummer 2.0 and a quadcore pc but dont know how to set it all up

  • Well, if your TD-3 has a USB output on it, then you'd be fine... I don't think it does, however.

You CAN use a module with a USB output on it (TD-12, 20) but bypass those module sounds and just use it for a triggering interface. All you need is USB or MIDI outputs.

    -mikey

  • Hello,

What drum sets/snares come in the BFD2?

    Thank you in advance.

  • nice video mikey..thats help me a lot..but i got question on that alesis io..okey,im going to build a edrum kit..what im not really sure is about the drum module.can the IO work without a software? its different from all the roland TD series right? can u help me out? thanks..

  • Thanks for the comment!

The Alesis Trigger IO does not contain any sounds. It is the trigger to MIDI box where you plug in your drums.

It's mostly used for software based drums. Does that make sense?

    -mikey

  • oh..i see now.. =) so all i need to build a edrum is, a triggered drum kit, a trigger to MIDI box(Alesis IO) and a computer with the software installed..like that? and is there any product that have the same function like Alesis IO(trigger to MIDI box)? bcz its hard 4 me to find any Alesis product here in my country..thanks again for all of your helps.. =)

  • Oh and I forgot to say, that this video is also cool, beacuse now i can see closely what kind this kit really is!I can see all the technology of the kit,and I can nearly touch it :D So thanx very much of this video!

  • You got it, brother!

    -mikey

  • Hello Mikey, long time since we talked last time.

But now:I can just say cool kit,and nice, very professional videos. You have cool studio at your home.I like to watch theese videos, but still i have only that old pieceofashit kit...soon I'll get maybe acoustic kit.But that your kit is most coolest Edrum kit that I know. And keep doing theese vids!

  • Thank you... again!

I think I counted that I'll have about 30 MORE VIDEOS to do!!!

I have 5 done, just need to be edited! Crazy, eh?!

    Thanks again Jounizky! You Rock!

    -mikey

  • Hi Mikey

Not I don´t have it, I want buy some electric drum set or module but.

Which you recommend me to use it with EZdrummer?

    "alesis dm5" or "alesis IO"??

I live in Chile! and My idea is buy it for Internet and send it to the house of my uncle in Los Angeles California.

    Thank you for your help

    Regards!!

  • I would use the Trigger IO if you're going to use software... it's cheap, and works great! Plus, you wouldn't like yourself for using the DM5 sounds after hearing EZdrummer :-)

    -mikey

  • ywea,

The DM5 could be used for EZDrummer. That and the Trigger IO are great triggering devices. I got a GREAT deal on my Trigger IO through RET Percussion. They sell everything from Alesis at a great price.

    Do you have an ekit?

    -mikey

  • Hi Mikey!

I want to buy some drum module and I have some questions...

the "alesis dm5" module can be used with ezdrummer?

    Regards!!

  • Please help, I can't get the triggers to make a sound. I've got triggers, the Alesis IO, and the BFD Lite software (that came with it) all hook up. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing something? Thanks. Do you have a step-by-step resource out there?

  • Jerrware,

You'll need to select the IO as your MIDI device within BFD, and you might want to download the latest ASIO4ALL driver (it's FREE, just google search it!).

Other than that, just make sure every thing is powered on, and plugged in!

Try the new ASIO driver, and let me know what happens!

    -mikey

  • Hey Mikey,

Me again. Haah. BFD2 arrived in the mail yesterday! Got it all installed and it sounds absolutely stunning. Worth every damn penny.

I've got another question for you! I'm looking to replace my X-Fi sound card with something capable of producing a smaller latency. You're using the Firebox in your video here, which has always caught my eye, but I'm still unsure about getting MIDI from my TD-9 module into my computer. What would you recommend?

  • Hmm... Now, I'm not too familiar with the TD-9, being so new and all... but, if it has either a MIDI (you'd need MIDI to USB cable or adapter) out OR a USB out... you can go into your computer, and select it as your MIDI device.

The FireBox would go into your comp via firewire. You would need to select that as your Audio device. It has a standard 4ms latency for best overall LIVE playing, but you can always adjust that to your computer... it's FAST!

    I hope that helped!

    -mikey

  • im srry, im kinda new to Electric drums.

can the Alesis Trigger|iO be used as a drum module itself? or is it like an addition to a drum module? idk much about this.

  • The Alesis Trigger IO is a drum to software interface. It's just a place to plug your drums into.

The software on your computer holds the sounds. The IO has no onboard samples. EZDrummer and BFD2 are GREAT software programs. Ever use them?

    -mikey

  • thank you very much! i found the Alesis on some websites and they come with FXPansion's BFD Lite, is that a good program?

  • Hey can you use this with Roland drum Module? Also Im trying to add more trigger pads to my Roland set can you double with using all module imputs and adding even more pads with the Alesis IO?

  • The RET kits work Awesomely with the Roland modules.

Are you wanting to add drums into the IO, then into your module?

Hmm... I've never tried that, so, I'm not too sure how that would work... interesting idea!

    -mikey

  • Mikey,

Who makes the rack and hardware for the kit? I'm looking for a ride boom arm and x-hat similar to what you got there for my Gibraltar rack. Thanks! JD

  • I've found parts from Gibraltar and Peace... they both have these kinds of parts, I think :-)

    -mikey

  • All I have to say is, I appreciate this video. I'm about to buy my first kit EVER. I stay in an apt so I'm getting an electronic kit for my neighbors sake :) (Alesis USB Pro). I just couldn't understand how the trigger io worked. It wasn't until I saw this vid and a few of your others that I was able to wrap my brain around it. Off to Guitar Center I go. LOL. I feel a lot better because I know what to look for and what questions to ask.

  • Awesome that you found these videos helpful!

Maybe someday, when you get your chops up, you can upgrade to an RET kit! If you've ever played an acoustic drumset, you'll find that the RET kits feel much better!

Congratulations, sir! Have fun! Let me know if you have any questions!

    -mikey

  • Most definitely. When I get up to par, I will be upgrading and I will be looking at that kit.

  • Also: I know this is just your home vid, but it's better than the fxpansion videos for BFD2. I mean... those were kind of boring! This is really cool, dude. I got your message about the videos. That's cool that you're so into VPT drums like that. Also... this is going to be a four part video series?! Nuts!

    Peace bro.

  • Whoa! All I can say is THANK YOU!!! What a compliment!

Something else I can say: without acoustic drums, there would be no acoustic drum samples. Without acoustic drum samples, there would be no sample software. Without sample software, us e-drummers have nothing.

Without FXpansion, I wouldn't have this video, ya know what I mean?

I think they do an excellent job with their software.

Also, RB... I feel like I can say this to you: We should show some respect for their work. It's tough.

  • HEY mikey!! RIG here.......nice video....cant wait for part 2 looks great...

    cheers

  • Thanks Rig! I just finished recording the second video... hopefully, I can get it up by Monday! Cross your fingers!

I'll show some playing, an Acoustic test of the drums, and some features of BFD2.

It's easier if you subscribe, that way, you'll know when it's up.

    Later dude!

  • I guess I never knew how intricate the design on the RET kits were. VERY NICE! Great job. It's nice to see you doing more home studio videos. Don't sell out to the MAN!!!

When is Number 2 coming out??

  • Thanks a lot! I had BFD2 for a little while, and I was VERY busy working with RET and doing videos and things for them. I'm glad I could get this one out, now that I'm back in town for a little while.

I won't sell out to the "man"!!! Hahaha... that's awesome!

  • That's really awesome, dude! Maybe you could do a review on the RET Percussion kits, or VPT in general. It really is the next generation of drumming. I would throw in some shoutouts for a really nice video :-)

  • well right now we do different things like reviews, with products, movies, etc's. when we complete out line of movies i ill deffinently show some and i'll be more than happy to let peopl know about VPT. if you would like. -alex

  • Man I love these videos they give me some ideas as to MIDI stuff like my EWI that I play (like Michael Brecker) by the way this is Gustavo (Cabrera) you know the guy who would always have a problem with his die-hard cable, haha...anyways, that would be cool if you could give a shout out to me it would be so awesome...:)...until later, thanks for all you do for us Mikey...peace...
