Depends on what you get a mute for. I called a player moderator a "noob" and was muted. I contacted Jagex Support right when it happened and in about 30 minutes the player moderator was demoted and I was unmuted. You just need to know what is acceptable and what is unacceptable and Jagex will listen as long as you don't Appeal that shit and actually contact them.
