Alright I'm seriously very annoyed right now, I want to insert an Audio track but sonar keeps telling me that I'm out of memory?!!!! I really want to record stuff but I don't know what to do, I can't import an audio track!! Please help
My one is kind of similar, but when I record it has a tempo going in the back. Is there any way of getting rid of that? I can't seemt o find where to turn it off.
how do i get one of the preset drum patterns into the actual track ? i try dragging it then dropping it into a midi track and it works but it will on play a snare every now and then or something similar, basically missing out most the drums. any help would be much appreciated
HELP! I have Sonar 3 Producers Edition. How do I listen to my synth? Audio 1 Audio 2 MIDI 1 MIDI 2 I select Track Properties Input is set at NONE I've gone through channels 1 through 5 and I don't hear anything. Bank is set at NONE I've selected insrtuments but still nothing. What am I doing wrong?
I recently got UA-1G with Sonar 6 le so I could record my mixes. Anyway, when I'm done with recording and I play my mix it sounds like a scratched CD with beats jumping from time to time which is really annoying.
Could I do something in Sonar settings that might help or my lap top is just too weak???
man with magix music studio 12 delux all you do is click on a track and then below there's a 'MIDI' botton. You press and boom, you got a piano roll and click on the keys to make the sound and also on the top right on the piano roll you got a bar with alot of intruments. It's real easy even a cave man can do it.;D
If I lay down an audio can I hear the first track play as I lay down another audio track? For example, can I lay down a guitar track, then play it back and record vocial to another track as it plays. I need to hear the frist track as I sing.

@LAMAR2476 What you're hearing is the metronome upon playback. Make sure your input and output devices are properly selected on the track you are recording to as well as in the application itself.

Sounds like a sample rate issue. Make sure that the sample rate on all devices is set to the standard 44.1kHz. Go to Options - Audio - Advanced to run Wave Profiler to synchronize the playback of MIDI and Audio correctly. Close the program and re-open, changes should take effect
When using audio tracks to record, each overdub I record catches all the data from the previous tracks I have recorded. For example, if I record five tracks and solo the fifth track after I record it, I will hear all of the audio from the previously recorded tracks along with the fifth track's audio. How do I solve this problem?
Make sure your recording and playback devices (input / output) are setup correctly within SONAR. On the main menu, go to Options - Audio / MIDI Devices. Whatever your are recording with (microphone, keyboard, etc) as the input, your soundcard as the output. Then make sure the same is true for the individual audio track you plan to record on.

Make sure that the I/O is selected on the individual audio track you want to record to. Input = Microphone, Output = whatever device you want the sound from your computer to playback from
Make sure that your keyboard is selected in the input field of a MIDI track. Make sure your output is your soundcard / speakers. To see how this is done - follow Robin's steps at 2:00 in the video above.

Can somebody help me? I already recorded 1 audio track (Guitar_1) and I need to record another one (Guitar_2 or Track_2), So, I need to hear the first track while recording track_2, but Sonar records on track_2 not only what I'm recording but also what's on track_1, I need to get one guitar on track_1 and another on Track_" so I can modify their properties. thanks
I am working with Sonar 6 & FireStudio as my interface. How do I send prerecorded tracks from Sonar to fireStudio Control Console to create separate headphone mixes?
ok..I'm confused. I plugged my keyboard into my computer with a cord that has an in and out midi to usb. I have done everything this vid told me to do but I still can't get it to record.!
when I burn a cd after creating the project, my audio tracks are all the same length, (the length of all tracks are always the length of the longest track) therefore when I play the CD the shortest tracks have a long silent space. How can I make each track its right length?
thats what happens when you select all, instead you should click the clip insed the track and then solo the track and export, one bye one,. or you can go to cakewalks website forum , its the best .
I have sonar 6 and i just got a midi contoller. i recorded some hip hop stuff just for fun and exported it as an mp3. here's my problem: when i playback the recording in iTunes some of the tracks drop out randomly. its like the note doesnt sustain. can anyone give me any advice...
i have been using sonar for 3 days already and when i have already recorded a song but when i play the song you can hear the tempo sound does anyone know how to turn the tempo sound off? please help reply to my comment
sorry my friend I can not recording, my record is droop out, I can listen well, all the system are ok, but not record,,please can you helme what to do ,,,thanks sonar 6 home studio, have a vista home premiun, all is ok,,
When I press record (to record guitar) it records the metronome and the drum track (that I put in with the step sequencer) on top of the guitar. How can I fix this so that I can hear the metronome/drum track while recording but record only guitar? Please help!
jerrial: go to dustypuppy's channel. He is an expert on cakewalk and offering free help. Also, check out the vtc training website. It has a whole sonar 6 course through videos and narration of the program itself. It's doable, don't give up.
i really need help with something i got sonar 7 trial for free and i need help please help me i am having trouble with using keys on my keyboard eccept this is a computer keyboard i dont know how to make my keys work so they make the instrument sound i want them to make. whenever i push one of the keys all it does is move around on the tools and stuff is there a way to make it so it makes the instrument sound please help me

If you're using bista x64 you'll have problems, will need an external audio interface, like the edirol ua 25. Also, You've got to change software parameters to make this work. I had the same problem and spent 100 hours googling, felt just like you until I got answers. The manual is of no help in this since little steps and trouble shooting aren't explained. Prob. your sound card, & no midi input except ext. speakers. For xp pro, go to dustypuppy's channel on youtube or else post here.
This has been a problem ive been trying to figure out for a while: I have set up everything neccessary to record, but yet when i go to choose my input, its has an option of SigmaTel High Def Audio Codec (1 in, 4 out) and it will not let me click on it or use the arrow towards the right to choose more.
This is a dire question for me, and i'd like to know as soon as you can send a reply. Will Battery 3 and Aturia CS 80V work as VST Instruments on Sonar 6? I've been put through a lot of bull lately with this stuff. If it can i'd like to get a copy as soon as possible.
I just want to record myself playing guitar, can you please tell me what equipment like usb cables etc. that I need in conjunction with Cakewalk SONAR Home Studio 6 thank you.
You'd need some type of power amp to connect to computer before you connect guitar to it. Right now I have my guitar connected to Digitech multi-fx processor(RP250), and have that connected to mic-in jack of my computer(I would use Line-In jack but my laptop doesn't have one). If you have just a guitar and an amp, try looking for a Line-Out jack from the amp and connect that to the computer. If you have this setup, you can even record guitar using Sound Recorder that comes with Windows.
Yes, Virtual instruments and synthesizers refer to instrument sounds as patches. It's a name that goes back to the days when hardware synthesizers had patch cables that you connected to get different sounds.
Do the drums sync up to your tempo automatically, or do you need to program per patch? Also, I do not understand how to program drums. Can you select and test drums as you play your riff looped?
IT depends on how you are recording them. If you program them in the piano roll or SONAR's step sequencer then yes. If you are recording them from a controller then you would need to turn on input quantize or quantize after the fact (or play in rhythm LOL). Yes you can try out different drums while your riff loops.
Cool, so once you've chosen your signatures for the song, you can essentially pick any drum type and it will fit, correct? Forgive me, but I am not the least bit educated in this area, but it seems that is logical.
Yes that should work. One thing, you said something about fitting it to time with your riff. If you want to do that you will need to make sure that the tempo in SONAR is set correctly, if you start by recording a riff without setting the tempo and using the metronome, things will not sync up. Or to get them to sync up you will need to match the tempo to the riff you recorded (either manually or with Audio Snap if you have Studio Edition or Producer Edition)
Cakewalk is very cool, but setting up your sound card and Cakewalk is enough to make one commit suicide. Seriously- what a hassle. Too bad CW can't make it an automatic process.
It is basically impossible to make it an automated process because of too many variables. Every audio interface and version of its driver requires a different set up. We have a very helpful page on our support site to assist with this. Go to Cakewalk [dot] com [slash] support [slash] hardwaresetup
You can buy Music Creator at Best Buy, and other consumer electronic stores, you can buy SONAr Home Studio at Guitar Center, Sam Ash or other music stores. Both can also be purchased direct from Cakewalk.
Thanks i do rap in sonar le but can you tell me which programme is best to record on in sonar le a mean when i open it . it says new project can you tell me which one shall i choose or which one is best for making your own track in studio quality can you please reply again and tell me please sir it can be very help full for me please thanks.
All the templates will provide you with equal quality, they just set the project up in different ways, so that certain tracks are already set up for certain things. I would start with the normal default template
I don't know which version of our software you have so teh directions may change slightly. Go to Settings | General | Metronome and turn it off. Or Turn off the metronome by hitting the Metronome button on the toolbar.
Hi i just wana know when i record my audio sound in stereo edirol it only show one wave for recording and when i play it i can hear sound only in my one side of headphone can you please tell what shall i do ?
Hi, you are recording a mono input to one side only of a stereo track. You need to change your input when you record to either the left or right input, rather than Stereo L/R.
mabye midi is not what I need ?? I just want to record piano, organ and other sounds from my keyboard .Altho if midi can do this with different sounds of my casio 610 ... I,ll take it (if it,s not too painful ) thanx
OK in Settings | MIDI Devices you need to set both an input and output for your MIDIsport. Then when you play tracks back you will hear them play on yoru casio. If you want to record the audio of your cassio so it will play from the computer, you will need to record it into the computer. Run cables from the output of the casio to your sound card input. Arm an audio track in SONAR and hit record.
what is sonar ? I would like to be able to add the casio track to an empty track on my cakewalk program ,and still have the option of adding other sound tracks with it. are you saying that I don,t need the midisport ,but another cable ? Iwould like the recorded cakewalk tracks to come out of my 5.1 computor speakers
SONAR is recording software. You can layer sounds from yoru casio, all you need to do is select different MIDI Channels in SONAR for each track that you set up. To get the sound out of your computer speakers you need to record the audio output of yoru casio as audio tracks in SONAR.
hi , great postings , I,m computor illiterate and I would like to be able to get my midi working . I installed the software and uninstalled a few times, now cakewalk brings it up on the midi tracks but no sound or response . I also downloaded ( It was recommended for troubleshooting )midi-ox.I have spent 6+ hours and still no luck , the midi interface is midisportUNO and I have music creator 3 . thanx for all help . Is there a suggested method of learning this stuff ?
What are you trying to make MIDI sounds with: your internal sound card, internal virtual instruments, or an external synthesizer? Let me know then I can help you.
Thankyou for your reply . For the last couple of days ,I am able to create piano sounds with my qwerty keyboard , but what I,d like to do is send signals and or sounds from my Casio ct 610 tone bank , I connected to it,s midi out and midi in ,through the midisport UNO ,and to a usb port . thankyou john
Wow! that was really easy! - I have a question though, can I record my own guitar or vocal using the audio from my webcam? if i cant, what do i need to plug my guitar to my computer or my vocal to my computer? appreciate ur help :)
HMMM...interesting question. Webcam mics are not really high quality, but if it shows up in audio options in SONAR then you should be able to use it. You should be able to plug your guitar or a mic right into your audio input. You might need an adapter to do this, it will cost a couple bucks. For a guitar it would be a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. If you really want to get a good recording though, you should buy an audio interface from a music store.
Hi, I just got Music Creator 4 the other day, and I plugged ((with the 1/4'' to 1/8'' adapter)) my guitar into my laptop ((into the hole with the little microphone next to it)) and then I pressed the record button and nothing happened. Help, please!
I think I got it working. I only have an integrated sound card; I updated drivers and changed the 24 bit setting to 16 bit. Something worked. Thanks for the speedy response. Much appreciated.
Hi, I'm using sonar 7 w/ vista home premium and I'm having trouble w/ the volume levels being too low when playing back audio tracks. The midi levels seem to be fine but even w/ the included sample audio tracks or imported/recorded tracks the volume is too low. I raised the track level to 6.0(the max) and tried modifying the gain which only creates distortion. Any suggestions?
Are you using your stock audio card that came with the computer? If so, you need to go into control panel and find the mixer levels for different types of sounds (I am not running Vista so I can't tell you exactly where that is). Turn up the slider for Wav Audio, or audio. That should fix the problem.
You can save as many beats as your hard drive will hold on the computer...hundreds, thousands. The answer to how many you could save on the keyboard would range from none to many and depend on the keyboard you bought.
Everytime I record audio, there's always "background sound." It kind of sounds like a drum beat. It doesn't play during recording, only during the playback. Is there anyway I can get rid of this?
Could you possibly be capturing your backing tracks when you are recording? Are you tracking with headphonesh or are you using your speakers? If you're tracking in the same room as your speakers you should probably switch to heapdphones
Hello, I am using music creator 4 for remixing music from a CD. All I want to do is edit out parts of the song and edit it so it is one continuous song/remix. The only problem Im having now is the bass is way too high on my recording and there are the ticks that ended up on my remix. I am beginning to get a lil frustrated. I need this taken care of ASAP. And I appreciate any and all input.
The ticks are because your levels are too high and you are clipping. Bring the levels down. To lower the bass, patch an EQ, and reduce the Bass frequencies.
Ive hooked up a miracle midi keyboard and when i record into cw9 the little cursor in the bottom right blinks and im able to record the piano roll information, yet there is NO sound when playing back. Any ideas on how to playback sound and subsequently change instruments with what ive recorded?
Looking at picking up cakewalk producer, one question though. for audio as you are recording there is the "confidence" display showing the waveform so you can see that everything is OK. I can't really tell from the video if the same thing exists for MIDI (e.g. you can see the piano roll as you record).
Wow - thank you for your fast reply. I think Sonar is the way to go for me. Pro Tools is not as fun for composing, and Logic only runs on macs which are too damn expensive ($3k for a decently spec'd mac pro vs $1200 for PC). 64 bit floating point is so sweet.
Ever had a problem with connecting a gutiar to a pedal and then running it though a preamp, then to your input for recording? everytime i add my pedal to the equation I end up getting nosound, yet when i just run the guitar to the preamp, it works just fine. Any ideas?
I'm using Sonar 6 Producer Edition,my problem is that i found dat there is no MIDI Devices even after i've install my MIDI Keyboard(Keystation 49e)? Do i have to configure anything?
You'll need to call tech support. If you're a registered customer, the support is free. But I think you'll need to go to Settings | MIDI Devices and add it.
I'm using an m-audio keystation 49e. The problem I'm having is I get no sound. I plug it all in correctly, I record and I see the notation on the screen, so Cakewalk is already picking it up, however, it doesn't play at all. What am I doing wrong?
The M Audio Keystation does not have any sounds built in it, it's just a controller. You will need to patch a Virtual Instrument in SONAR's Synth Rack, and select a sound patch on the virtual instrument in order to hear sounds.
Go to Settings | Audio Options. There is a latency slider. If you've never adjusted that it's set in the middle for reliable playback. You can pull it to the left for lower latency. If you start to get audio drop outs move it right for more reliable playback (but higher latency)
You will need to unlock the trial MP3 encoder, you can buy that on the Cakewalk webstore. I would give you a link but YouTube does not allow links to be posted in comments
I bought the Pyro5 Program, you get MP3 and much more for the money, very nice program too! Obviously I am a bit jaded as far as Cakwalks stuff, others can't compare(my own opinion!) No Offense to other progs, just have had best performance & usability with Cakewalk's programs, and Customer service is Top Notch!
Alright I'm seriously very annoyed right now, I want to insert an Audio track but sonar keeps telling me that I'm out of memory?!!!! I really want to record stuff but I don't know what to do, I can't import an audio track!! Please help

When I press record (to record guitar) it records the metronome and the drum track (that I put in with the step sequencer) on top of the guitar. How can I fix this so that I can hear the metronome/drum track while recording but record only guitar? Please help!

it works for me. so read your manual dont be a dick!
robvk6 3 years ago
If you're using bista x64 you'll have problems, will need an external audio interface, like the edirol ua 25. Also, You've got to change software parameters to make this work. I had the same problem and spent 100 hours googling, felt just like you until I got answers. The manual is of no help in this since little steps and trouble shooting aren't explained. Prob. your sound card, & no midi input except ext. speakers. For xp pro, go to dustypuppy's channel on youtube or else post here.

how do i choose an input????????

This is a dire question for me, and i'd like to know as soon as you can send a reply. Will Battery 3 and Aturia CS 80V work as VST Instruments on Sonar 6? I've been put through a lot of bull lately with this stuff. If it can i'd like to get a copy as soon as possible.

I just want to record myself playing guitar, can you please tell me what equipment like usb cables etc. that I need in conjunction with Cakewalk SONAR Home Studio 6 thank you.
mannyichi 3 years ago
You'd need some type of power amp to connect to computer before you connect guitar to it. Right now I have my guitar connected to Digitech multi-fx processor(RP250), and have that connected to mic-in jack of my computer(I would use Line-In jack but my laptop doesn't have one). If you have just a guitar and an amp, try looking for a Line-Out jack from the amp and connect that to the computer. If you have this setup, you can even record guitar using Sound Recorder that comes with Windows.
Alai912 3 years ago
when you picked the patch you wanted, was the picking the instrument you wanted to play?
bgft 3 years ago
Yes, Virtual instruments and synthesizers refer to instrument sounds as patches. It's a name that goes back to the days when hardware synthesizers had patch cables that you connected to get different sounds.
CakewalkSoftware 3 years ago
Do the drums sync up to your tempo automatically, or do you need to program per patch? Also, I do not understand how to program drums. Can you select and test drums as you play your riff looped?
alteredlame666 3 years ago
IT depends on how you are recording them. If you program them in the piano roll or SONAR's step sequencer then yes. If you are recording them from a controller then you would need to turn on input quantize or quantize after the fact (or play in rhythm LOL). Yes you can try out different drums while your riff loops.
CakewalkSoftware 3 years ago
Cool, so once you've chosen your signatures for the song, you can essentially pick any drum type and it will fit, correct? Forgive me, but I am not the least bit educated in this area, but it seems that is logical.
Thanks.
alteredlame666 3 years ago
Yes that should work. One thing, you said something about fitting it to time with your riff. If you want to do that you will need to make sure that the tempo in SONAR is set correctly, if you start by recording a riff without setting the tempo and using the metronome, things will not sync up. Or to get them to sync up you will need to match the tempo to the riff you recorded (either manually or with Audio Snap if you have Studio Edition or Producer Edition)

Awesome. Thanks, man.

Cakewalk is very cool, but setting up your sound card and Cakewalk is enough to make one commit suicide. Seriously- what a hassle. Too bad CW can't make it an automatic process.
brywool 3 years ago
It is basically impossible to make it an automated process because of too many variables. Every audio interface and version of its driver requires a different set up. We have a very helpful page on our support site to assist with this. Go to Cakewalk [dot] com [slash] support [slash] hardwaresetup
CakewalkSoftware 3 years ago
Where do you get that program from?
858287 3 years ago
You can buy Music Creator at Best Buy, and other consumer electronic stores, you can buy SONAr Home Studio at Guitar Center, Sam Ash or other music stores. Both can also be purchased direct from Cakewalk.

All the templates will provide you with equal quality, they just set the project up in different ways, so that certain tracks are already set up for certain things. I would start with the normal default template

mabye midi is not what I need ?? I just want to record piano, organ and other sounds from my keyboard .Altho if midi can do this with different sounds of my casio 610 ... I,ll take it (if it,s not too painful ) thanx
jmack619 4 years ago
OK in Settings | MIDI Devices you need to set both an input and output for your MIDIsport. Then when you play tracks back you will hear them play on yoru casio. If you want to record the audio of your cassio so it will play from the computer, you will need to record it into the computer. Run cables from the output of the casio to your sound card input. Arm an audio track in SONAR and hit record.
CakewalkSoftware 4 years ago
what is sonar ? I would like to be able to add the casio track to an empty track on my cakewalk program ,and still have the option of adding other sound tracks with it. are you saying that I don,t need the midisport ,but another cable ? Iwould like the recorded cakewalk tracks to come out of my 5.1 computor speakers
jmack619 4 years ago
SONAR is recording software. You can layer sounds from yoru casio, all you need to do is select different MIDI Channels in SONAR for each track that you set up. To get the sound out of your computer speakers you need to record the audio output of yoru casio as audio tracks in SONAR.

hi , great postings , I,m computor illiterate and I would like to be able to get my midi working . I installed the software and uninstalled a few times, now cakewalk brings it up on the midi tracks but no sound or response . Is there a suggested method of learning this stuff ?

Wow! that was really easy! - I have a question though, can I record my own guitar or vocal using the audio from my webcam? if i cant, what do i need to plug my guitar to my computer or my vocal to my computer? appreciate ur help :)
Sliph320 4 years ago
HMMM...interesting question. Webcam mics are not really high quality, but if it shows up in audio options in SONAR then you should be able to use it. You should be able to plug your guitar or a mic right into your audio input. You might need an adapter to do this, it will cost a couple bucks. For a guitar it would be a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. If you really want to get a good recording though, you should buy an audio interface from a music store.
CakewalkSoftware 4 years ago
Hi, I just got Music Creator 4 the other day, and I plugged ((with the 1/4'' to 1/8'' adapter)) my guitar into my laptop ((into the hole with the little microphone next to it)) and then I pressed the record button and nothing happened. Help, please!
XxYesxVirginiaxX 4 years ago
You need to do some tweaks in Settings | Audio Options.
Go to:
cakewalk dot com slash Support slash hardwaresetup
Find your audio card and follow the directions
CakewalkSoftware 4 years ago
I think I got it working. I only have an integrated sound card; I updated drivers and changed the 24 bit setting to 16 bit. Something worked. Thanks for the speedy response. Much appreciated.

Hi, I'm using sonar 7 w/ vista home premium and I'm having trouble w/ the volume levels being too low when playing back audio tracks. The midi levels seem to be fine but even w/ the included sample audio tracks or imported/recorded tracks the volume is too low. I raised the track level to 6.0(the max) and tried modifying the gain which only creates distortion. Any suggestions?
xyz311 4 years ago
Are you using your stock audio card that came with the computer? If so, you need to go into control panel and find the mixer levels for different types of sounds (I am not running Vista so I can't tell you exactly where that is). Turn up the slider for Wav Audio, or audio. That should fix the problem.

if i get a musical keyboard how many beats can i make and save on the keyboard
nyplaya4ever 4 years ago
You can save as many beats as your hard drive will hold on the computer...hundreds, thousands. The answer to how many you could save on the keyboard would range from none to many and depend on the keyboard you bought.

Everytime I record audio, there's always "background sound." It kind of sounds like a drum beat. It doesn't play during recording, only during the playback. Is there anyway I can get rid of this?
rok3r5tyl3 4 years ago
Could you possibly be capturing your backing tracks when you are recording? Are you tracking with headphonesh or are you using your speakers? If you're tracking in the same room as your speakers you should probably switch to heapdphones

Hello, I am using music creator 4 for remixing music from a CD. All I want to do is edit out parts of the song and edit it so it is one continuous song/remix. The only problem Im having now is the bass is way too high on my recording and there are the ticks that ended up on my remix. I am beginning to get a lil frustrated. I need this taken care of ASAP. And I appreciate any and all input.
andrewg367 4 years ago
The ticks are because your levels are too high and you are clipping. Bring the levels down. To lower the bass, patch an EQ, and reduce the Bass frequencies.

I would suggest something like SONAR Power.
MIDI and audio cost the same to record. Our cheapest software does both.

Argh. I get confused everytime ther's technical vocabulary. Do you know of any "MIDI for dummies" book?
Also, Is using MIDI the cheapest way to record music if I'm only recording for piano?
Please answer me. Thanks a lot.

i still don't understand how to record audio tracks
eazy187 4 years ago
Looking at picking up cakewalk producer, one question though. for audio as you are recording there is the "confidence" display showing the waveform so you can see that everything is OK. I can't really tell from the video if the same thing exists for MIDI (e.g. you can see the piano roll as you record).
dialectics 4 years ago
Yes MIDI clips will draw on screen while you record
CakewalkSoftware 4 years ago
Wow - thank you for your fast reply. I think Sonar is the way to go for me. Pro Tools is not as fun for composing, and Logic only runs on macs which are too damn expensive ($3k for a decently spec'd mac pro vs $1200 for PC). 64 bit floating point is so sweet.
dialectics 4 years ago
Ever had a problem with connecting a gutiar to a pedal and then running it though a preamp, then to your input for recording? everytime i add my pedal to the equation I end up getting nosound, yet when i just run the guitar to the preamp, it works just fine. Any ideas?

I'm using an m-audio keystation 49e. The problem I'm having is I get no sound. I plug it all in correctly, I record and I see the notation on the screen, so Cakewalk is already picking it up, however, it doesn't play at all. What am I doing wrong?
MikeyTSH 4 years ago
The M Audio Keystation does not have any sounds built in it, it's just a controller. You will need to patch a Virtual Instrument in SONAR's Synth Rack, and select a sound patch on the virtual instrument in order to hear sounds.
CakewalkSoftware 4 years ago
How do I do that? I'm using Cakewalk Home Studio 2004
MikeyTSH 4 years ago
Hit F1 it will launch Help. Search for Virtual Instruments or Soft Synths. You should be able to find a list of instructions.
CakewalkSoftware 4 years ago
Thanks, I managed to do it. The only problem I have is latency, but I'm sure I'll work out a way to overcome it
MikeyTSH 4 years ago
Glad you figured it out.
Go to Settings | Audio Options. There is a latency slider. If you've never adjusted that it's set in the middle for reliable playback. You can pull it to the left for lower latency. If you start to get audio drop outs move it right for more reliable playback (but higher latency)
