  • Funny how people say the isopod looks like pokemon, insects and other animals while it's realy the other way around. This critter is probably near the top of an evolution chain that created a load of different creatures.

  • If you go to Sydney Australia,,and ask for a Balmain Bug,,,,you will get a smaller version of this animal for lunch

  • ahhhhh yes we all know........THE COCKROACH OF THE SEA...... cleaner upper of dead animals in the ocean such as cockroaches we have in our homes. but aquaeous.

  • there just big rollie pollies!

  • Just my opinion, but idiots shouldnt be allowed to post videos. These creatures were documented over 100 years ago.

  • those arent new species

  • They're called Isopods you moron, we've known about the for years.

  • @dalek14mc

Let me guess... since 2008? Which was when this video was uploaded?

  • @HAWKtheone

If you think that an underwater creature which resembles a "Pill Bug" (aka- Roly-Poly aka- Armadillidiidae), looks alien, maybe it is you who are the alien.

  • @moleman1961 lol

  • It's just a Trilobite. No big deal, you can see them at museums all over the world. It just goes to show that they are still around, and that the earth is not billions of years old.

  • @toddpro1 lol animals like this could not have existed further back than 500-600 or so million years. So it has no relevance to the earth being "billions of years old".

  • i want one

  • New species? These animals lived millions of years ago and they're available at every museum in either Kanto or Johto

  • its face kinda looks like predator!!!!

  • this is proof there are larger versions of all bugs in the depths of the world...imagine what we havent seen...i swear we live in horror movie or some sci-fi flick because most things i see there are not as fake as we assume. If there can be giant rolypolys than you bet ur ass theres giant shrimp and lobsters and crabs just waiting in the abyss...real creepy really cuz if they were to make it on land people would really be sayin "ALIENS!!!". Theres so much we dont know...

  • that ant no alien, its a masiv triop! some bored kid must of let them go in the sea... u know what they say, fish grow to the size of the tank.

  • DOES ARNT NOT ALIENS

  • @Annulable Alien rocks !! Ive seen it like seven times and that does kinda look like the face hugger thing ...

  • Those are just sea bug that due to there large amount of space have grown to that size. They are related to the pill bug that you might find under rocks. also known as the roley poley to children. They obtain their size because, unlike humans, have indeterminate grown..meaning they can grow to as large as they want if their enviroment allows them to do so.

  • Eat em! hahaha!

  • No ma... estan mas grandes las chinches que mi aguela tiene en su casa!!! juear, juar, juuar :P

  • its kabuto !!!

  • Giant Isopods have been around for millions of years. There actually related to ticks. Many varieties of isopods are parasitic. One form; about the size of your hand enter fishes' mouths and eat their tongue. From there they position themselves in place of the tongue and eat all the food that enters the fish's mouth.

  • its not new. its been around for millions of years. scientests only found it 2 yearsm ago

  • Its a Giant Isopod. Not a Kabuto. Or a giant cockroach. Its a species effected by Deep-sea gigantism.

  • its like a big ass ocean cockroach! o_o

  • They look like oversized woodlice or the ocean version of woodlice... (I don't know the exact name but when you go to beach, these weird rolypoly like creatures live on rocks and creep the shit outta you) I'd love to eat em though... They look like they are packing a lot of protein.
