It's wierdly good when two artists that you appreciate end up comming together... I felt the same way when Madonna did 'Hung Up', it feels like it's not true.
i hardly ever accept other artists versions of ABBA songs, but this is really good. benny and kylie created an unforgettable duo. the original of 'when all is said and done" by ABBA was actually too tense and too loud, one of very few ABBA songs that I always wished they had recorded differently.
Lovely version, nice rendition with the new updated lyrics. This should have been a UK single taking ABBA back to number one, but we know it won't happen. Great to see ABBA Gold back in the album charts again!
Beautifully done. I must confess though I never cared for Bjorn's 'upbeat' revamped lyric. The original is so much more poignant. Perhaps ABBA's most genine and moving track.

Yes, she has a very specific tone to her voice that you may or may not like, but she sings it from the heart, in tune, and adds a nice personal touch. Well done Kylie, I say! This lovely version by Kylie and Benny is far better than the overproduced choir-like sound of the original version. It was never a song by ABBA that I particularly liked but I hear now in Kylie's version what a beautifully worded and melodic song it is. I would be pleased if Kylie releases this as a single or includes a similar sparse version on her next album. This song and version was the highlight of the tribute concert for me and well worth waiting quite awhile to hear.

Kylies been crying out for attention from the Abba boys for years (dancing queen on tour and the butchered version of The Winner takes It All with her sister).
And what happens? They finally get on stage with her and 1. give her ABBAs least popular songs and 2. give her Fridas songs which isn't her range...The little one has such a huge ego she probably won't see the joke. I'll reserve judgement on your perfect pitch. I think that you're someone from her record company. She's terrible. She has a grating, nasal, voice and no phrasing. She does not know what the words mean. We think she's great because we are TOLDshe's great. There again, she might just be putting it on, she might not be that vacuous, but I doubt it, as I've seen her intreviewed. She is a blank. I'm a singer with near near perfect pitch and she didn't miss a note??? I don't get it when people say she can't sing. The girl doesn't have the strongest or richest voice in the world but she can sing. maybe it is you that is tone deaf. She may not have the tone of voice whitney has but her range goes from an alto right up to suprano. Quite formidable for someone so small.

Kylie has a beautiful voice I first heard her sing the last week of 2006 and I have been listening to her sing ever since.
I must have 13 albums from her that is more than anyone else I listen to including The Beatles, and I like all the songs! That is something I find very unusual, and very special there is no doubt in my mind that she can sing and sing beautifully!

Only thing missing from the concert was the girls.They could have done a video message or Frida could have come on stage at the end.Agnetha may hate flying but is far less reclusive these days and a video message from them both would have topped a fantastic day.
This is my all time favourite Abba song. I do prefer the passion and intensity of Frida's version - she was singing with a broken heart, after all - but I think Kylie did this justice. Certainly the highlight of Sunday night's show.

No one can match the intensity of Frida's version. This was a very nice version thou and we'll never see Frida sing it live again so I'm happy with this. So nice job Kylie.
Now, looks like some the comments here are rather controversial. Well, good debate is always healthy.
I never really liked the arrangement of ABBA's 'When All Is Said And Done' - the backing was too harsh for the lyrics and it is one of only a handful of ABBA songs that I could define as medoicre.
This slower, gentle, ballade style works beautifully as does the new middle verse.
I would love to see this style of 'WAISAD' released on CD. The song, in this style, and by Kylie, deserves it.
I agree TOTALLY on this. I could never get into the original of the song. I found the production too cold and clinical, and Frida's vocal too heavily processed/filtered. This stripped down version for me has finally made me appreciate the song on it's own merits. It is a much more warm, tender and wistful interpretation. It was a rare example of ABBA not getting it right first time.
Nope THE BEATLES ARE! And any history book on the history of pop/rock music will back me up. The fact that ABBA could only get "C" list celebs/artists to sing at their concert speaks volumes to me - I mean Jason Donavon ? He's been a "has been" for 18 years now - could Abba not do better than that/him?
This song was just there for the ABBA Tribute in Hyde Park (Mama Mia also as Benny is one of the producers for the movie and not sure but I think the show too) And this song will not be part of the tour in US/Canada
i just happened to turn on BBCradio2 last night, halfway through the concert, i totally forgot it was on ... Why oh why didnt the BBC show this live on BBC1or 2, It would have got a MASSIVE audience!

Kylie looks and sounds amazing- perhaps one of the best vocals I have heard her sing live. Kylie deserves much more respect than she gets for being a fantastic singer, live performer and interpreter of great songs

I don't think she would have been able to successfully tour all the places she does without being able to sing a note.
It's funny how the girl spent the first 5 years of her career with people claiming she couldn't sing only to have proved them wrong by touring the world and singing ABBA songs LIVE. ABBA songs ain't easy to sing and you have to be able to sing more than a few notes to be able to do it. I've put it simply for you in case you don't understand.

couldnt agree more with everything you said. nobody could skim through 20+ years as a singer, if they couldnt sing. kylie is a great performer, shes amazing live as both the 100s of 1000s of people whove seen her will testify, and even the critics of 'serious' music magazines know shes a a fantastic live artist! just take a look at her peers madonna, and britney who constantly mime during concerts! you have a right not to like kylie, but nobody can argue with that performance.. she kicked ass :)

I'm a singer with near near perfect pitch and she didn't miss a note??? I don't get it when people say she can't sing. The girl doesn't have the strongest or richest voice in the world but she can sing. maybe it is you that is tone deaf. She may not have the tone of voice whitney has but her range goes from an alto right up to suprano. Quite formidable for someone so small.

Kylie has a beautiful voice I first heard her sing the last week of 2006 and I have been listening to her sing ever since.
I must have 13 albums from her that is more than anyone else I listen to including The Beatles, and I like all the songs! That is something I find very unusual, and very special there is no doubt in my mind that she can sing and sing beautifully!

Only thing missing from the concert was the girls.They could have done a video message or Frida could have come on stage at the end.Agnetha may hate flying but is far less reclusive these days and a video message from them both would have topped a fantastic day.

This is my all time favourite Abba song. I do prefer the passion and intensity of Frida's version - she was singing with a broken heart, after all - but I think Kylie did this justice. Certainly the highlight of Sunday night's show.

Kylie mkes you realize just how poor Frida's version is. Thank God Frida was backed up by Agnetha at the time. She made some very nice harmonies which are truly missed in this version. But compiments to Kylie. Smart lady to pick a Frida lead..she outshines Frida all the way!!

Now, looks like some the comments here are rather controversial. Well, good debate is always healthy.
I never really liked the arrangement of ABBA's 'When All Is Said And Done' - the backing was too harsh for the lyrics and it is one of only a handful of ABBA songs that I could define as medoicre.
This slower, gentle, ballade style works beautifully as does the new middle verse.
I would love to see this style of 'WAISAD' released on CD. The song, in this style, and by Kylie, deserves it.

I agree TOTALLY on this. I could never get into the original of the song. I found the production too cold and clinical, and Frida's vocal too heavily processed/filtered. This stripped down version for me has finally made me appreciate the song on it's own merits. It is a much more warm, tender and wistful interpretation. It was a rare example of ABBA not getting it right first time.
