I totally agree with you. I believe in EDUCATION EDUCATION EDUCATION but there's more to learning than books and your resume. Making friends increases your social skills which is important in any career. That's why a lot of these book nerds get good smarty-pants jobs, but it's the person who can make friends, relationships, and connections that is leading the company.
Oh, btw, you have big eyes. :P They're very expressive.
I think I get what you're trying to say .. (not sure thought .. the video is kind of confusing) but still .. I doubt everybody at your school is the kind of person you like hanging out with .. it's impossible .. unless you have about 4 people in your high school. people are so different and you shouldn't try to fit in their groups just because they look good from the outside .. you don't fit it because you're not like those people, that's not a bad thing. you can find your own group of friends
I still occasionally talk to people from my HS on like facebook and stuff like that but all my real friends are older than me and i met them outside of school. All except for 2 others that I met in college. but i go to school online now but once they come back to the college we're going to hang out again (6weeks!) lol but i live 20 miles from the college and one lives 300 and the other about 500 so summer kind of sucks ... but yeah lol my HS was full of assholes, so, that explains that =)
I guess I'm an exception there because I'm happy that I don't have to see anyone from high school anymore. True friends are so rare that I have never believed in the coincidence that one of them could have went to the same high school with me.
My closest friends were met after highschool to be quite frank, but I still maintain contact with a few cool people I met back then. Highschools are amazing because every personality type on earth is always represented. Its important to know that some people are by nature shitty, some are by nature sweet, some social hermits focus only on acedemics, and some jppl just there for a hangout session. Yes, it takes all kinds and in schools they are all mixed together to share growing up. ~peace
My closest friends and the ones I trust the most are from high school. I think the idea of how everyone knows everyone for so many years, inherently trust is built. Not that I trust people afterward whom Ive met less, but it always seems harder to establish friendships after high school.
In Romania we have 4 years of high school and a class has approximatively 30 people. We all have the same classes, except the foreign languages. Basically you spend 7 hours a day with the same people for 4 years and it's almost impossible not to make friends or know everyone. it took me almost 2 years to understand how important high school was for me and the one around and 2 years to try recovering the wasted time. For me HS was far more stressful than it should have been. Social life ...
Yeah, I get the same thing... I had some real good friends in High School that I don't even talk to anymore, but I still hang out with a few of them. Most of my friends now are from University.

I don't talk to any one from Middle or High school anymore, with the exception of maybe 3 people.
Everyone that I went to school with were such raging cunts.
