  • Should have zoomed in more on the truck company name...media reports NEVER name the trucker, but they always say which airline/ship/railroad got involved in an accident.

I'm sure CN Police were LOTS of help...might as well have called the store detective at Wal-Mart, they're cop wanna-bes with bad attitudes and calling themselves "police" is just another act of typical CNR arrogance.

  • Would this happen to have Pat Rogers Towing responding? I can see a wrecker but can't tell the company

  • this all happend beside my house

  • I was a passenger in that train, there were many children on the train.

  • Do you live on the north side or south side of the tracks?

  • um...the side with the park..

  • ok south side.

  • The whole trucking industry is a pain in the ass,has they are destroying our bridges, roads, pollute, makes awful noise and derailing our trains!

  • Remember that next time your favorite gas station, grocery store, or department store needs a delivery.

  • I'm not talking about straight bodys(5 tons), i'm talking about the fifty three footers and more.

  • who pays taxes to fix the roads jack ass us workers do that means truckers who pay taxes have the right to use the road ok fuck face no trucks no good fucking waste of life

  • calm down dude, i kinda agree with 6060steamfreak. some truckers need to drive more responsible. most accidents here are involving trucks, most of the reason is excessive speed. Which is why they are putting a 110km/h Speed Limiter on all trucks in Ontario. (soon) so remember that next time a Freight train flys past you. lol

  • Plus the fact that some tried to bet the train at the crossing and quesse oh most of those people are trucker,,,there is no reason for truck on the road exepte one exeption the closess warehouse were the train would deposit are need,,to the store that it,,,,,People Gouverment need to lear all to do the right truck that go for you two Kenworth2010,,Sorry if i good piss but these rong choice need to stop

  • 6060steamfreack,,you are right,,,,but do not forget wy need truck to bring stuff to are store and other good,,,,as for the rest of them they need to be off the road back on train,,Go high speed train canada because maybe after more people would leave there car home trake the train,,,many people do not understand the right fink to do,,because there finking to much about making money they breath,,,,,and not enouff on the impact on are eveday life.

  • he,s lucky the train was on the other track and not the one the his cab was on.

  • what road is this? i want to railfan here!

  • CN's Kingston Sub. The Montreal to Toronto mainline.

  • Oh,yes. I heard about this accident by the news. That's awful and sad in the same time.

Is there are the injuries ? The trucker is it past away ?

How come this accident was happened ?

  • 10 people injured. The crew in the VIA engine included. The truck driver escaped injury by leaving the truck when he saw the VIA train coming around the bend. The truck was pulling a low-boy trailer which is used for heavy construction equipment. Trucks shouldn't use this road through Mallorytown as the road is narrow and the railway crossing/train tracks are elevated. It's a small hill to climb to cross the tracks then go down the other side.

  • The low-boy trailer got hung up on the tracks. You could see the skid marks from the truck tires in the road. The driver was trying all he could to get off the tracks.

  • Well,It's very sad. I hope the Ontario Ministry of Transport will widen and improve this road and the railroad crossing with CN to allow trucks to travel on this road like this truck which was destroyed by a Via Rail train.

    That will be much better.

  • This road isn't a truck route. There are two highways 1km east and 3km west of town that are truck routes. That's why they can't figure out why the driver drove down this road instead of taking better highways outside of town.

  • It was VERY lucky that it wasn't that bad. If the VIA train was on the other track, it would have been far worse. The train would have destroyed the truck, derailed and crashed into homes right beside the tracks.
