I downloaded the update yesterday (actually it was downloaded automatically) and it made no difference.

Why is your brynjolf wearing armor and mine wears robes? It didn't work for me, although he did talk to the other npcs so that's a start, any responses?

It's great to see that this video has helped so many people. Unfortunately, myself and several others are still having problems even after attempting this method. In my case, having followed this exact method, Brynjolf still won't talk to me when I sheath my sword in front of the bar in the Flagon. He just says "hmm" and begins walking away. This is soooooo frustrating....

I solved my problem. I sprint pushed bryngolf into that secret entrance room where you press the button on the coffin, and then when we were right next to the trap door I quickly clicked A on him to get him to start talking and then clicked on the door. Then I sprint pushed him into the circle in the center of the ragged flaggon cistern and all was good. (xbox 360)

Until this is fixed I can't finish the dark brotherhood quests (you need to speak to devin mallory) and I can't even start the thieves guild.

Okay so I can't get him through the door. I was able to attack him and get him to follow me into the secret coffin door, but the problem is that you have to do the reparations quest if you attack a thieves guild member. So once I get him down into the ragged flaggon, he tells you you need to go see vex. So You go see vex and give her 1000 gold and then when you run back bryngolf is back in the market! How do I get past this?!!?
