As long as you dont make them angry you have nothing to fear, Their sting is pretty painful, but will only kill you if you are allergic or get stung by more then one...

Yesterday a 30 year old died in a province of thailand from that wasp, he was messing around with the nest and a bounce of them came out and stung him many times...the next morning he was dead.

looks like a tarantula hawk wasp, these buggers have a pain index of 4 which is more or less the same as getting a gunshot wound.
