Hmm. I didn't really think of it that way when I made the video.

Here is what I was thinking: on YouTube, VFX has made countless ignorant claims. They are claims that he boldly spewed into the camera with no evidence to back them up.

When I imagined VFX street-preaching, I was pretty sure this problem would only get worse. B/c, before, he had at least had time to rehearse and research before making a video. Now, he was on the streets, getting hit with responses he wouldn't expect and reacting with even more contrived answers for which he provided no evidence.

As you would see if you watched my video responses to his actual preaching, that is exactly what happened. So my prediction was correct.

If in the future, some of VFX's street preaching does find its way unto the internet, I would try to attack it based on any faults those videos may have on their own instead of dismissing them based on that which is preconceived.

Piltdown Man was a fraud. I fraud that was revealed and rejected by the scientific method. It was not put forward by me or anyone like me. It was put forward by someone who either made a mistake or wanted to be famous.

In any case, the mistake was corrected. So bring it up all you want. Because the mistake was corrected, the case of Piltdown Man reveals nothing but the ability of science to correct itself.

In short: no one thing caused me to believe in God, so no one piece of evidence was sufficient to cause me to lose that belief.

I lost my faith in God due to a combination of many pieces of evidence, many logical arguments based on that evidence, and many personal experiences that validated the evidence.

There are plenty of great sources for evolution. Many natural history museums have great exhibits for evolution. The one in Denver is good.

Richard Dawkins gives a pretty good summary of how natural selection works in layman's terms.

But if that isn't scientific enough for you, then the book Genomes 2 details the strong genetic evidence for evolution (the strongest evidence for evolution is genetic evidence).

Type "horse hoof evolution" into google for some of our strongest fossil evidence.
