  • why are these two countries fighting with each other when china is the one you should be hating. who cares if you're second or first in outsourcing industry? it wouldn't even matter at all if china finally invaded your countries.

  • why the indian men stink? perhaps water is scarce there?

Even the Indians are realizing the potential in the Philippines. Tech Mahindra (the 5th largest software exporter in India) has recently announced that it plans to set up BPO Operations in Philippines. The company has recently signed a multi-million deal, as one of the preferred BPO partners for strategic outsoucing with a leading full-service telecommunications company in the Philipines

  • @dbca999 you're forgetting that those countries you've mentioned are non-English- speaking, which is spoken as a 2nd mother tongue in the Phils. Use some common sense, please.

  • I've been for my holiday in the Philippines earlier last year and outsourcing jobs are everywhere.. People from the Philippines are very happy, hardworking and a very welcoming people to foreigners coming into their country..

  • @saket02 Indians are quite boastful, right?

  • India overcome from BPOs now, we are already full of BPOs now n no space for more BPOs so BPO companies are migrating to poor countries... now we Indians take over other country gaint firms (u can google it) n many more... we r still largest producer of Diamond, Gold, Steal, Coal, Textile, etc for decades the computer u usein now to read this msg its windows os is developed in INDIA... wt u got philippines? better you guys shut up now

  • Now western companies finally realized and found out that Philippines is the best BPO site. Our accent is neutral. Agents are college grads and literacy is high. We are influenced by the Americans and thats the biggest advantage. We are highly westernized than India.

  • To all the young generation in India, you have not achieved anything yet. Eating at pizza hut is much easier than working at one. Stop spending your dad's money at pizzahut or mcdonalds.. get your own money like Americans do. Then you can see how cocky can you get. Maybe then you would even have a right to be cocky.

  • @yaajaam do u know what you talking abt... ? indian works more than american... look at those indian child labor who work 24/7, i feel shame on u.

  • @passwrdserver really? That is your response? I am not surprised at your rant. If you really know how to read, you would have understood what I am saying. I never said that Indians work less than Americans or otherwise. This is not about who works more. This is about feeling superior when all you have to show is a booming BPO and exported software services. Give me 1 product that dictates the market. The only reason why BPOs exist in India in first place is because of cheap labor.

  • @passwrdserver I am not humiliating anyone. I am not degrading the work people are doing. Every work should be respected. So, no, this is not against BPO. If you read correct, then would have understood I am calling out the youth of India who are used to live extravagant life at the expense of their families. Also, if your argument to Indians working more than Americans is the child labor working 24/7, then you should be ashamed. What that child is doing is beyond your comprehension. Respect it

  • I am an Indian and I am appalled by the attitude of Indians who feel that everyone else is under us and can't compete with us. Wonder from where we get the superiority complex. It is one thing being confident and working hard to maintain the lead, but it is completely different to be outright cocky. Who cares who is ahead and who is not.. you got to always watch your back!

  • india and phillipines should work together rather than compete which the interviewer was very keen on!

  • @TheCivilEngineer22 philipines cant complete with India in outsourcing man!!!!!!!we are atleast 20 yrs ahead of philipns

  • @prabsing >> What do you man Philippines can't compete with India? Actually its a failure of American companies to outsource to your country. "Accent " itself is very very important in BPO business. You failed there that why we got the job. The truth is India is a poor country so you got it 20 years ago.

  • @prabsing

According to Tholons Globalization Service’s survey on outsourcing companies worldwide (Tholons is a strategic consultancy firm and is a leading publisher of research reports and detailed insights on the global outsourcing industry), Cebu ranked 1st in the survey on “Emerging Global Outsourcing Destinations” among 50 cities.

In 2007 Cebu City ranked 4th. On 2008 it ranked 1st and in 2009 maintained its number 1 ranking from the previous year.

20 years ahead? how can it be?

  • gud india keep it up!

  • As if there is a comparison between the intelligence and potential of a Philipino versus an Indian. Give me a break. Keep dreaming Manila.

  • Being a close second to India in outsourced call centers in so short a time with a relatively smaller population is a feat in itself. We shouldn't rest on our laurels but instead strive to continue improving our capabilities in order to live up to the challenge of upcoming competitors from around the world. Our strategic focus over the longer term should be to diversify & aim for higher value services which demands far more skills than call center work but which is also a more lucrative niche.

  • Filipinos love to compare as if we are better that this country or that in terms of english language proficiency. Fucking BPO HR sucks most of them got no considerations they are like flies at the back of a cow.

  • Indian BPO companies are actually coming to the Philippines in drove.

  • Great interview

  • Too late Phillipines. You would have a lot of competition from other countries in Eastern Europe, South America, China, Mexico etc

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAH! this is so funny....

  • ha ha. Whats so funny. The assessment of that guy is more realiable than what ur thinking.
