  • Why is Lil Wayne always mentioned on good music? He's nowhere near as talented as Blu, Common, and anyone else who creates poetry. He's not in the same category.

  • @hipnoticed LOL

  • Its amazing what a by product of two things clashing can produce.

  • well i'm a new fan! lol

  • @realoriginalhiphop yeah but most of those hardcore rappers you grew up with weren't that original either. I mean yeah a few were but a lot of them just copycatted what others were doing weren't they?

  • quit debating and just enjoy HIP HOP

  • Big Pun, Big L, and Big Daddy Kane are my favorite artist's of all time and Common's album Finding Forever is one of the best albums ever created. PLEASE tell me someone that Phonte is biting...LOL he gets nothing but respect from knowledgeable old school, underground, and mainstream artist's

  • @realoriginalhiphop listen to phonte's new album and try and tell me that shit sucks

  • @realoriginalhiphop i give you props for show & ag but you're being close minded if you think most underground rap is whack

  • @realoriginalhiphop If Blu's music is the definition of kiddy music. I'm a 3 year old toddler with ADD rocking this shit day 'n night. MORE SWEETS MOM!!!

  • If u wanna hear hardcore rap listen to Jedi Mind Tricks and stop bitch. Blu is chill and ill. He might sound like others but he raps real shit. Not some candy ass shit POP on the radio n shit.

  • @realoriginalhiphop lol i guess

  • @realoriginalhiphop how do they sound alike?...

  • @realoriginalhiphop name 5 other rappers he sounds like.....

  • @realoriginalhiphop copycat?

  • i think lyrically elzhi is comparable, but blu jus has so much depth!! i like lupe as well but this kid is dope!!!!

  • Probably the worst comments ever can be found on underground hip hop videos. You'd think it would be the opposite.

  • either way Blu is soo wid it his lyrics are sick

  • 1 m0:00re time! From 0:00 - 4:41.

  • *legendary

  • @kellyLv2 you should hear noyork! its lengendary

  • @Jedimanny661 i didnt really like no york

  • He's a good rapper but I don't know why I am not into his music. Maybe the beats are just to soft for my liking

  • I've only had my mind blown by few things...age 14 it was Common, age 15 Mos Def and age 16 Lupe and now a few years later I hear Blu and my fucking brain just melted

  • Comment removed

  • @kellyLv2 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ALL OF THE ABOVE

  • @kellyLv2 Same here.... at 14 it was K-os, at 15 it was Common, at 16.... Blu came. <3 Love him.

  • @69killlluminati69 funny thing is lupe said that Blu might even better than him.

  • DONT MENTION THAT MARTIAN,IN THE PRESENCE OF A HIP HOP SPARTAN!

  • people who bring up lil wayne on not-so mainstream artists videos are mainstream listeners just now finding out about conscious

  • @vae2k bwahahahahahhaah omg.

  • @vae2k but you just metioned it you moron

  • @vae2k i don't know what a spork is but thumbs up.

  • @vae2k LIL WAYNE IS ILL THOUGH...

  • @hipnoticed good joke

  • i think i have found my favorite artist

  • It takes more effort to comprehend Blu's poetical genius in one chorus than it does the whole album of any rappers goin big today.

  • i cant takethis im seedin and i dont wanna seed, stupid seed,,

  • This and all your music lets me drift from my problems for the moment.

  • 2 people think Lil Wayne is "The best rapper alive"

  • it's SO AMAZING!

  • this song gives me an eargasm.!

  • Made me feel like when i first heard common, lovin this

  • I hate these underground songs cuz everyone talks about Lil Wayne like he's the worst rapper ever... he ain't

  • @seafoamwinter ur right; Soulja Boy is even WORSE!

    But Wayne still sucks dude,

Ppl need to stop whining about him though, it's really annoying

  • @seafoamwinter why don't you just bump the fucking song and stop looking at the comments...simple as that damn

  • @seafoamwinter Wouldn't it be more relevant to hate people hating on Wayne in the comments section of underground songs instead of hating those songs themselves?

  • @LordPhunbaba Oh dude, the music is ILL. I meant it seems like everytime I listen to underground music everyone hates on Lil Wayne, so it makes me have less respect for the whole underground scene's elitism

  • @seafoamwinter the underground hates on lil wayne cuz he's wack. It's all punch lines and no flow. and i bet at least half your favorite wayne songs werent even written by him.

  • coming from a guy that hates rap and hip hop....this is the only hip hop i can listen to non stop, every song.

  • Proper

  • Whatup. Im Lo.

17 y.o. hip hop artist from the bay area

check my page, just lookin for a lil support.

subscribe if you feel me, whatever if you dont.

    its all good.

    One Life.

    Lo

  • blu spits that real life shit

  • poppa made a dope rhymer, ima ghetto n**** sippin liquor in pajamas

  • It is called "Simply Amazin' (Steel Blazin')" but whatevs, best song by them.

  • and some people say eminem is a lyrical god. Blu is better then eminem in my opionion and has better lyrics

  • @TRS136 All eminem raps about is= his old girl that did him wrong, his kid, and his mom.......and mariah and what's his face.....anyone else?

  • @xDJblaze757x Check out one of his old school songs ahhaa i miss his old shit. EMINEM- INFINITE

  • @xDJblaze757x you forgot his moms spagetti

  • @TRS136 eminem hasnt had a lyrical album other than lupe no one is fuckin with blu lyrically

  • @69killlluminati69 Blu follows a clear tradition in hip-hop and for all his talent, he hasn't quite reached the level of the greats in that style: Butterfly, Kweli, Black Thought, Del tha Funky, Common, etc. Eminem is a highly skilled freestyler but he's not a complete artist like the above names because his tracks are too self-absorbed and he is way too hateful and ignorant. NOBODY fucks with Mos Def. Anybody who's heard The Ecstatic knows he's starting the shit our KIDS will be listening to.

  • @bessamsam the shit mos used to drop was unfuckwitable (mathematic , definition, re definition, close edge etc) but he has fell off recently and he will be considered top 10 all time when its all said and done but i still think lyrically no one has came close to lupe

  • @69killlluminati69 I agree that he fell off for a while (New Danger had, like, 2 good tracks on it) but now not only is he back at the top of his powers, he's breaking the ground for the next step. Also, Shabazz Palaces. Their new joint just fucked up my head. Automatically one of my favorite albums of all time. I caught Lupe in Albany a few years ago he was ill.

  • "as fat as Biggie with no pun intended" -3

  • didnt mick boogie do this beat??

  • @thegreatmoto No, it's Exile. :) Dopest West Producer right now.

Thats real heart and soul being expressed lyrically.

this dudes got talent, no? :D

  • Any track that has a M.O.P sample seems to be sick!

  • who the fucks dislikes it... why is there a dislike button on this... youtube failed here

  • ya bro i feel your shit..

  • Blu makes Lil Wayne look like Justin Bieber.

  • @bring96back right on.

  • @bring96back Fucking anyone can make Lil Wayne look like Justin Bieber haha

  • @bring96back hahahaha lmao !!

  • @bring96back

whats wrong with lil wayne, hes probably a better lyricist than blu. justin bieber isnt even a rapper so how could you compare them.

  • @joyorder93 first of all lil wayne isnt better then blu...like not to start an arguement but he doesnt have nearly as much soul. && saying making him looks like a justin bieber is just a figure of speech, its not literal....one

  • @joyorder93 you, my friend, are dumb as shit.

  • @bring96back

and you, my friend, are clearly someone with a very dull, conservative taste in music, shown by you actually thinking this is good. you probably havent even listened to bieber or wayne, just jumping on the 'underground is real hip hop' bandwagon. Get off your underground high horse and realize that good music can be made by people who are 'mainstream' or in it for the money, look at britney spears new album, infinetely more musically innovative than this bullshit, yet 'mainstream'.

  • @joyorder93 Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's not good. If you're not a fan of underground hip-hop, so be it. I don't like mainstream for the simple reason that it's just a mind-numbing mess of nonsense. Songs today don't make sense to me, they, for the majority, are non-creative songs with an upbeat musical background. Like Pitbull, how did a dude saying "Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro" repeatedly become "good"? It didn't, you don't have to listen. Mainstream is a disease.

  • @TheGreysonW

you just use one example, albeit one that i agree with you on. but what about kanye west or the neptunes, you cant seriously argue that they make 'mind-numbing', 'non-creative' songs. theyre just 2 examples of why mainstream is on the whole vastly superior to undeground (with a few exceptions, j dilla, madlib, cannibal ox).

  • @joyorder93 I respect your opinion, but here is my view. People like Kanye and the other hip-hop giants of today are overplayed and overdone. They all have a similar backbeat and a flow for people who don't really understand the true concept of a good lyrical and musical coupling. Blu & Exile are a great combination. Blu has a fantastic flow and his lyrics relate to real life. Exile is sampling something new, fresh, and different in this song, today, you don't hear a record scratch, or a vocal

  • @joyorder93 remix without some type of autotune. Rappers today are so worried about trying to couple their music with singing that it turns into a big mess. I mean, T-Pain is so overly autotuned that he has become a universal joke. And that's slowly encroaching to all of the other mainstream musicians. What Blue is saying here is real art, it is smooth, fresh, and appealing. He spits things that average Joes can relate to, not just about feeling good and sexin'. He spits real stories.

  • @joyorder93 nice try. but no. i used to be a huge wayne fan, but he hasn't made anything of quality since 2007. blu isn't even "underground" as you say. it's 2011. with the internet, this "underground" doesn't exist anymore. if you can download his album on thousands of sites, he isn't "underground". i'm not even going to address the fact that you think britney spears created something innovative.

  • @joyorder93 WHATS WRONG WITH LIL WAYNE? hahahahaha i fuckin loled when i read that, hes a sell out to mainstream america. And his lyrics have absolutely no valuable meaning in the slightest.

  • @ScrubbinAllDay

'hes a sellout', what the fuck does that even mean? and why do lyrics have to have valuable meaning? he can be a genius lyricist when he wants to. actually listen to the lyrics of this song, they are just awful,he is just chatting complete and utter bullshit.

  • @joyorder93 If you dont understand why lyrics have to have valuable meaning, then we are through here. haha Lil Wayne videos are that way! ->>>

    dueces!

  • @joyorder93

his lyrics make no since at all, just jumbled up bullshit that rhymes.

  • @bring96back thats actually not that hard just saying.

  • @bring96back

hehe guess that means Exile makes Kayne look like Tomp.

  • @bring96back

he makes himself look like justin bieber

  • @bring96back your an idiot justin beiber doesnt even rap dumb fuck

  • @Manny4Lakers oh i'm sorry. kindly show me where i said that justin bieber is a rapper. you didn't even spell his name right. you're clearly the resident expert on bieber.

  • Can't wait to get a car and start bumping blu & exile's music so that the whole god damn brainwashed mainstream fags could finally gain conscience and listen to the music that derived from the heavens to our humanly hands.

  • Do you guys like this guy just because hes "underground" and has catchy beats? I dont understand the point of this song... Im sick of MC's making rhymes about how good they are at rhyming and shit like that.

  • @Skateboredomx i like this guy because he spits from the soul, he has amazing flow, and his beats are nicely jazz-like

  • @Skateboredomx u dont understand hip hop

  • @Skateboredomx you dont understand it because your brainwashed by solja boi,and justin beiber, your brain is soo underly developed and it causes you to only understand things like "kiss me throught the phone" and "one less lonly girl" so you will never be able to understand real hip hop unless you really do your homework and study. but your getting there at least you found blu and exile.

  • @razilleD hillarious comment u owned lmao!!

  • @Skateboredomx not really here his flow? the beat is sick not catchy like most of mainstream music. its just different you don't understand what hip hop is especially the real one

  • @Skateboredomx not every Blu song is about how good he is at rapping. check out Below the heavens part 1 ,cold hearted , Dancing in the rain , first things first , show me the good life etc.

  • @Skateboredomx

The fuck? You're gonna bash Blu when you have him in your favorites? Lmao, hypocrite, fuck outta here.

  • I'm lovin the M.O.P. sample in the hook. "It's so amazin, we still blazin."

  • thiss shit is SMOOOOOOTH so smooth it make me wanna cry

  • thiss shit is SMOOOOOOTH

  • where is this kat ?

  • @blackaZZ202 north carolina currently teaching a class about hip-hop

  • now this is the level of hip hop i wish to reach one day.

  • The song that you just want to play on a cold rainy day, to make everything all better

  • this song is Great!! OH YEAH!! ;D

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Brilliant!!!

  • A rapper that deserves to be a billionaire and deserves to stay quiet for the people who listen to fake hip hop on the radio cause they don't deserve a masterpiece.

  • PARTY PEOPLE!

  • Like someone else said earlier, this is a modern day classic. The beat, scratching and of course, Blu's heartfelt rhymes. Amazing track.

  • u know, as a 15 year old im glad i find this music early on, so later when im older im still listenin this music and sharing with others

    Forever Blu

  • i bet that 1 person who disliked was too damn high to realize what button he hit

  • i am fucking glad i have kids ive been bumpin this shit in my car im only 18 but boy do my baby girl and baby boy love there underground/ole skool rap i hope most of you teach your kids about the real fucking music that made me survive every fucking day of not of bullshit and negativity i love blu and all the underground made my shitty life seem more lightened up i can just put Below the Heavens and not really worry bout anything cause i know this nigga made it so why the fuck should i not try?

  • @croldrin that's the way to look at it man, don't give up
