LOl i think umm i dont need to go that long back..casue The wife is happy to leave her only family and come live with new family...SO i guess its okay to pay.
No.......the correct correction is: The money for "Niam Txiv khaub tsho" is for showing respect to the bride's parent. The "nqi mis nqi no" is a promise to the bride's parent that the groom and his family will love, respect, and cherish the girl as their own family until the day she could no longer breathe.
Omg, his language sounds so much better than mine (I speak English, obviously.) It's so much fun to listen to even though I have no idea of what he's saying.
sounds kinda cool. they're learning n having fun @ the same time. I think every instructor should do the same, teach n have fun @ the same time to make the class more creative thiab na.
If you a groom of course you gotta pay the bride's parents because "your mother-in-law went through so much pain giving birth" she fed you food, protected you, love you more than u can imagine. So it's a token u given to the bride's parents, showing how hard they have raise you.

yes.. i believe hmong pple now are greedy that's why they are still practicing "selling" off their daughters and will not settle for anything less even if it's more than what the pple around town is asking for.
