  • I went there in December with some people from school and it was raining like hell. Someone fell into a crater and the water was over his head. It's a nice place and the Cafe there is a very good. I think it's called Sanctuary Wood or Hill 62 as they call it also. There are still destroyed trees there, along with hundreds of shell cases, tunnels, and the guy who owns the Cafe has a hell of a lot of Helmets, machine guns, rifles, loads of awesome stuff. Nice shooting also :)

  • An extratextual information by the way: Not many people know this but Winston Churchill ran a battalion for a while on that front for a while as a British officer, thus serving in both World Wars in different missions.

  • that was FAST!

  • Not about speed, it's about accuracy.

  • @AmericaStandsStrong1 I like the saying "Speed is fine, accuracy is final." ;)

  • Pretty good, but i've seen faster.

  • nice recreation trenches. ypres like the english battlefield right?

  • GEEZUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how precise were the shots?

  • I would love to see the "Mad Minute" on here. Youre buddy looks like he could do it.

I have a #4 mk1 and I'm not that fast.. I need more practice XD

  • Blanks? Live rounds don't have that sort of muzzle flash.

  • jaco your fucking retarted

  • The Lee-Enfield bolt also made for faster shooting, compared to the Mauser or the Springfield.

Supposedly it's slightly less strong, but it works just as well in use.

  • guy on da left doesnt really look WW1...

  • is this an actual video from WWI?? I thought they only had black and white back then.

  • i hope your not serious

  • Well I really don't know that much about the exact timeline along which colour video cameras developed. I mean look at the trenches and I know that a Lee-Enfield was the kind of rifle they used back then and he is shooting one, they don't make them anymore. Maybe this one is from WWII? And they just had a small area of trenches and this isn't on the big western front?

  • It says in the video info it was filmed in march 2008, an what army would wear blue jeans an a puffa jacket lol

  • You just mucking about or are you seriously a well spoken dumbass?

  • i think ur a retard mate :L

  • NOw I know what the germans were talking about when they came up against the british at Mons, They said the british were letting off there rifles so fast they thought they were up against machineguns when infact the british had "no machine guns at mons"

  • @kronlc Well that's not technically true. They did have some machine guns (roughly 2 per battalion i believe) but they were in desperately short supply compared to the Germans. However you are right that the speed of the British infantry firing did lead the germans to believe they were facing many machine guns. I've used the lee enfield myself (no4) using blank rounds and i can see in part how they managed that, though of course never have reached their speed.

  • that guy looks sturdy and all... but i don't see any recoil. blanks?

  • Cool! Ive been to that trench place were you are for a school trip!

  • Most people seem unaware that a Lee-Enfield can be shot with the middle finger while holding the bolt handle with the thumb and index fingers. Hence the fast shooting.

  • hey, I did that too.

I can't do it that fast for aimed shots though.

  • Wohaa! I got to practise more!

  • I salute you!

  • Fastest Rapid Fire (5 shots) for the Lee Enfield on the web!

  • @mullers5454

i agree, seen allot of supposed "mad minute" but this was the best so far.

  • the trees should be blown apart and the mud should be ripped to shit for a good demonstration
