  • That's funny, I've seen a video of a labrador in Japan do this trick. I doubt my dogs could do this, how'd you do so with yours?

  • There are English Golden Retrievers and American Golden Retrievers. The coats of the English are called creme. NOT white, ultra light, etc.

  • To my surprise, your dog doesn't get the bone in the air.

  • aaw, such a cute dog!!

  • There are lines of Golden retrievers in europe that are white. I've got a light cream golden retriever. USA golden retrievers colours are far different than the original ones.

  • Try it with a Dino Bone lol dinobones.etsy.com it'll be so cute!

  • i can tell you guys aboout the white retriever its like, in the begin the golden retriever was like golden but later the goldens gain pupies and the pupies were getting more white every time in europe are more white goldens than golden goldens i live in holland u can look up this site they are all white goldens the name of the site is :

  • i have a reddish golden retriever, ppl always ask me if hes a red healer

  • @sjacquelin5610.........couldn't agree more.....it's stupid and cruel

  • I have a Blue Retriever..

  • Gee I'd love to see you forced to do this ridiculous trick before you got something you enjoyed. Dogs are given to us to love, not entertain us with moranic tricks.

  • @sjacquelin5610 actually dogs arent given to us, they werent put on this earth to be pets

  • @ccckkk09 Well I look at dogs as "a gift" from God. A gift can only be given, but whatever...my comment was harsh so let me add Snow is definitely a cutie, looks obviously loved and well cared for, etc. so I'll leave it at that.

  • @ccckkk09

I'm sorry if I sound rude, but dogs were not put on this planet to be pets. Man tamed a wild canine, bred it for specific uses such as; hunting, guardianship, loyalty, and so man could be dominant over something. When the 'dog' started pet was barely thought of, yes it was thought of else they might have just kept them in the woods only to come when called. (I don't know if they actually did that or not) But there was no putting a dog on Earth to be a pet, it actually had uses.

  • @VampireEmpriss no you idiot, dogs were put on earth then we domesticated them to be pets....

  • @empeypat What do you think I said dumbass. I just said it more intelligently than you.

  • @VampireEmpriss Congratulations for posting an "intelligent" comment on a youtube video that no one cares about. Do something productive with your life rather than posting snotty comebacks and posting common sense information. Everyone knows dogs were domesticated and weren't originally on earth to be pets, you've added nothing to the general knowledge of everyone viewing this video. You're a champion of life and basic common sense.

  • @empeypat ^_^ Well thank you for the rude compliment, it affected me... hmm... not at all ^_^. I do a lot of productive things with my life, leaving a comment wasn't what I sit here doing. I can post snotty comments on any video I wish, it's called the first amendment guess you should learn what rights I do have.

And clearly somebody cared about my comment, for you commented back on it. Clearly you cared enough to reply to my post ^_^.

  • @sjacquelin5610

haha Since I know myself so well, if I was a dog I would do this trick. I don't see it as torture, I would do it just to prove I could ^_^. Since my current dog can't do it... guess I'll have to hahaha

  • @VampireEmpriss Where some food is concerned, especially chocolate, I probably would stand on my head...but fortunately I can get it for myself if I have too....never tried the trick with my dog... he probably wouldn't do it....just wait for me to put it on a silver platter and serve it to him....yeah, he's that spoiled

  • @sjacquelin5610 Haha Yea my dog is similar to that. I've tried this trick many times and failed...

  • i have a white golden retriever :) shes SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!

  • platinum blondie lol, both my goldens are that color

  • wow...so much drama about a color XD.

    Lovely dog btw

  • I HAVE A DOG JUST LIKE THAT

  • Love it! My Beagle would NEVER do this, "It's mine and I want it NOW!"

  • That dog is thinking "One day i will rip your throat out while you sleep. "

  • @robotrogelio xD

  • when she was younger my golden would do this but instead of just drop it, she would flick her head and catch the sucker, lol it was the best, but now she's old and going blind, when she tries she just flicks it across the room and our other dog gets it, so we just give her the treat now

  • @neisan92 lol awwww... poor thing

  • @BigDH28 yeah i know, it happens.. i was thinking of taping one of her daily rituals between her and my younger dog, it's funny and they've done it since we got him, hmmm.....need a camera now

  • My golden does the same thing most of the time lol.

  • cute dog,and very big kex:) :)

  • i remember teaching this to a golden retriever my sisters dad had hit was great i miss that dog

  • my golden retriever catches it before it hits the ground

  • how do u teach this?

    plz reply thanks =]

  • Goldens can be from white (very, very light golden) to dark golden color, but not red.

In Europe are light Goldens than dark ones, like it is in America.

I also have white Golden Retriever and it is more lighter then this one.

And she excellent type of Golden Retriever with very good award in several dog shows.

Remeber there are such more important things than color in breed.

(Can look my channel, there are videos from shows.)

  • How do you teach a dog this?

  • i do the same thing with my dog, except i say "waaaaiiiit for it".

  • What a beautiful dog! Nice trick too, that golden has patience lol

  • i imagine that these 20 seconds were like 20 hours for the dog ;)

  • wow you just HAD to throw in the white golden so what!

  • That's awesome. I should train my golden to do this. He already waits to eat until I say it's okay, so it shouldn't be much harder to do this.

  • ha ha ! SO CUTE!

  • i have a white retriever and he's gorgeous!

  • what a patient dog

  • I had white retriver for eight years....The retriver is THE BEST DOG ON PLANET....That dog s are smart and they knew how do you feel...When I was sad my dog was always here to make me happy.....Unfortunately my dog isn t here now and that s make me so sad....:(......

  • So cute :D

  • My golden retriever does that but instead throws it up in the air and then catches it.

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thats soo cute! XD

  • MY DOG CAN DO THAT.

  • @surferstapleton Its not white.. they care called English CREAM goldens. While the USA, AKC is a hit and miss depending on the judges (where you could win or have points taken off) Other countries welcome the cream color into the show ring and many english cream goldens have won in the show rings. I hope sometime soon, the AKC will fix their rules, it is unclear what "shades" they welcome and some judges are against the cream color even though it is a shade.

  • aah what sweet!

    what a darling!

  • why do u all hate on a trick for a dog? like really.the owner trained it to do that.no one cares wether your dog can do it better or not.at least snow can actually do a trick.no one cares if ur dog can do it better or not so just be quiet and watch the vid(:

  • i have a white golden well its a very ligt cream not really golden i guess

  • my WHITE! gloden retriever is 13 now, she has a syndrom in her eye which makes it droopy (i 4got what it was called) and arthritus in her back leg plus shes going deaf and all she wants to do is play. i'm sorry but if thats not good then i don't know what is!

  • my golden Boston was doing that at 10Weeks! and catching it in his mouth. man i've got to get some vids posted and show you guys how its really done!

  • White golden retrievers are the shi!

  • thats so cuteee! ♥

  • the white/bege goldens are origin from england!! the darker ones are from america!! but they are still goldens! i have one girl like this color!! you can see if its a true golden by cheking the tail, years, bones and posture.

    thanks!!!!

    from portugal!!!!

  • nice doggie

  • OH THAT WAS SHIT. all it did was drop it on the floor after you balanced it on its nose. that aint no trick.

  • @xelpmok having a dog sit still while balancing a treat on its nose with amazing discipline awaiting a voice command is no trick? you obviously havent trained a dog to this point before

  • sooooo cute

  • so cute!

  • brian?

  • SOOOOOOO CUTEEEEE :D

  • i just taught my golden to do that, but its not so much a flick its kinda a drop off the side of his nose directly into his mouth. either way good discipline to get him to do this. =)

  • i thought that too try training him to do it. ps cute dog!

  • O I thought the dog was gonna like throw it up in the air and catch it but I have to give you props my dog we try that and he just can't stand it he has to eat his treat right away haha

  • Goldens should never be white. That's why they're called golden. Anyway, pretty cool trick, but you should teach her to catch it, not just drop it.

  • goldens arnt called golden because there golden! its because there a really clever breed(golden breed) they come in wheat, brown, sandy, light and ultra light.

  • They are not classed as white, they are cream, which is a lighter version of the gold colour. I have two girls just like that cream colour, and its a lovely colour too. I struggle to teach my two to catch a biscuit.

  • my golden retriever can do that too. exept she catches it in the air, but sometimes she drops it. hahaha.

  • What a smart boy!! Did you teach him that or did he know it on his own? Either way, this is a very nicee video!

  • haha it was like "is it 'okay' now? please i want this treat! please say 'okay' i really want this treat!!!!"

    hehe

ive been slowly trying to teach my dog this

  • It's a cute dog but he's suppose to cath it in the air. not just drop it.

  • my retriever can do that too...he stays soooo still

  • Are you stupid?

The dog looks white.. so he call's him that way. What is your fucking problem? Get a damn life..

I have a Golden Retriever of my own.. almost the same colour as this one. But i call it 'blond' or 'creme' but wtf does it matter?

And his name is Beyaz, wich means "white" in turkish. Is that also a problem to you?

    Try e :)

  • wow chill

  • yeah dude...

  • wow that trick isnt that hard, im suprised your dog couldnt throw it up in the air and catch it, like my golden retriever. Nice trick though.

  • wow incredible!

  • See now that's the kind of self control my dog lacks! When there is food in the room everything else is an obstical to him. Nice trick!

  • wow he looks just like my dog harper aka Prince

  • Your dog is smart

  • asked*

  • westphalianprinz

It is none of your business to critcize snow11206. U might studied all about Golden Retrievers but no one aked you for that. She is just showing her dog with a trick. I think you are pathetic. Grow up.

  • i am obviously the only one here who doesnt care what colour you dog is purple pink blue who cares!...its a cute! cheers

  • To westphalianprinz;

First of all, this dog belongs to snow11206 and they are allowed to call it whatever color they want to.

Second of all, what do you mean it is "genetically" the same color as a labrador? The Retriever and the Labrador are NO RELATION AT ALL. Learn your facts if you're going to make comments about other peoples' pets, don't just spout a bunch of nonsense.

  • Wrong. Labradors and goldens were interbred heavily. Goldens were then known as flat-coats. Goldens and flatcoats are derived from St. Johns Water dog, which is the ancestor of the Labrador. Goldens were interbred with Labs when they were considered varieties of the same type. I know an early field champion golden that had a Labrador litter mate. Goldens and yellow labs are recessive red to yellow, as are Irish setters. That's what I mean by genetics.

  • After your wordy and completely unnecessary explanation, maybe you could take the time to explain WHY you feel the need to view people's personal videos of their pets and criticize them so heavily. People put these videos up for their own and for and other dog lovers' enjoyment, not to have someone attack them for their descriptions. Don't use Youtube in order to FIND people disagree with. It's just NOT NICE.

  • I just was saying that it's not white. It's incorrect to say it's white.

"Argument is the highest form of communication."

    --John Adams.

If you challenge my facts, I prefer to show you my evidence.

  • I do criticize because I am an advocate for the golden retriever breed, its history, and its future.

I will say that this is the smartest "white" golden retriever I've ever seen. Most of the ones I've seen are Homer Simpsons of the retriever world. My redheaded swamp collies can beat these dogs any day when it comes to retrieving, learning commands, and solving calculus problems.

  • You challenged the veracity of my statements, and then you made one that was obviously incorrect. I've read many books on the subject. And I have worked with an assistance dog program to select breeding stock using this information.

  • From about 1890, labs, flat-coats, and goldens were interbred regularly, and registered based on what they looked like. Flat-coats and goldens haven been separated for very long. Nous, the ancestral golden retriever, was 3/4 St. Johns water dog (the ancestral lab) and 1/4 setter. You cannot tell me they weren't related. I'm a golden retriever breeder. I raise working retrievers. The light color was frowned on by hunters because it usually is associated with not having much drive.

  • man, Shut up i have a WHITE retriever and there great!!!

  • You have a white retriever? Then it must be a hybrid with a real white dog. Not a single gene exists in retrievers for a true white dog. No retriever has ever been born white, ever. There was this legendary albino retriever owned by one breeder, but she was probably a dog of this color with pale skin.

I wouldn't have a dog this light. They are not in keeping with the original intent of the breed. This color is not preferred in the field. However, someone in the UK thought it was a great idea.

  • They do exist, in Europe they have the golden retriever, white retriever and a labrador retriever. The white retriever has like a darker type of white. I dont know how to explain it. I dont want to say creme but it is something like a white cream. White retrievers do exist. This is the case in Europe I dont know about everywhere else.

  • White retrievers are just pale gold. If you have their genotype tested it is exactly the same as a dark golden retriever or an Irish setter. It is recessive e/e.

  • oh my god shut the fuck up!!!! my golden retriever is very very pale. and his stud dad came first best of breed golden retriever in crufts 2004 or 2005 i cant remember. so who should we believe knows more about retrievers, you or the judges at crufts????

  • Pale cream is not allowed in my country's breed standard, and it wasn't allowed in the original 1911 standard, which is what we should be breeding to. I hate modern dog shows-- they are destroying our working breeds.

  • what do you mean "not allowed" if someone has one are they breaking the law? And if he person caught has a pale cream retriever will the dog be killed instantly and the owner also?? LOL

  • @Solari24

really? are they are to find??? let me know

  • oh my god shut the fuck up!!!! my golden retriever is very very pale. and his stud dad came first best of breed golden retriever in crufts 2004 or 2005 i cant remember. so who should we believe knows more about retrievers, you or the judges at crufts???

  • The current breed standard is a corruption of this once wonderful breed. Check out my channel to further educate yourself.

There is a reason why the BBC and the RSPCA no longer back Crufts. And there 's a reason why there are two basic strains of golden in both Europe and North America. The show version has an incorrect body type to do its work efficiently and it's too light in the color to be hidden in a duck blind.

Look up Ch. Noranby Diana, and see the original Ch's in the breed.

  • you mean sire ( a stud is for a horse)

  • @surferstapleton Its not white.. they care called English CREAM goldens. • @surferstapleton Yeah so what i do too!

  • @surferstapleton So do I <3 They are ADORABLE, cuuute, sweet, loyal and SMART! My baby's name is Taffy :D (well not so baby now)hehe She is two years and a half and right now she's got 8 puppies, our of them are kind of white:)they are two weeks old and are already opening their eyes, anyway Taffy likes to scape with me and learn new tricks! She just learned how to high five and wave and she knows how to balnce treats in her nose too, she never gets tired OMG I LOVE HER hope i can stay with a pup

  • I'll post some videos of Taffy's tricks and her bbs <3

  • @surferstapleton nice english

  • I'm not spouting nonsense. I'm citing two or three excellent books on golden retrievers and Labradors. We have a more detailed history of those breeds than virtually any other.

  • Shut up west, its basically white

  • It's not white. It's pale gold. White would be a bull terrier or a samoyed (and they also come in cream in some countries).

  • A truly white golden retriever would be disqualified in my country. They can only have a few white hairs on the chest. Cream is still frowned upon in US show goldens. For some reason, they are allowed in the US. Cream was allowed in the British standard to allow for cream shadings on a gold dog, not to give license to breed "white" golden retrievers. I've never seen one of these "white" dogs win a field trial. That should tell you something.

  • ii havv a Cairn Terrier nd wen yoo thro fings 4 her she cnt catch dem 2 save her life lol!! but dey werent designed 4 dat..

  • Its cool. But hes meant to catch it in the air to make it more sweeter ;)

  • THAT IS SO DARN CUTE>> WHAT A GOOD BOY!!

  • This isn't the lightest golden I've ever seen, but it is exactly the same color as a milk bone.

  • This dog isn't white.

I wish people would stop calling them white. They are a pale cream color.

Even those that look white have a creamy tinge to their coat.

They are not genetically white at all.

They are the same color genetically as a reddish golden retriever, the yellow lab with brown eyes and black pigmentation, and the Irish setter (the solid reds).

  • My last golden retriever, Buddy, could do that. He got so good at it he would hold it there for a very long time and then flip it and catch it in his mouth. It was so cute. I wish I had a video.

  • so cute! lol

  • Haha... too cute! My dad's golden could do that, but he'd also flick the milkbone up in the air and eat it. Golden's are the smartest dogs ever :)

  • i try doing that with my goldens and it just doesnt happen lol...they just want the food as soon as they can lol

  • SO CUTE

  • Aw! so cute...i love goldens
