Good attitude. I like your ideas. I have always said that if you want something and you restrict it, you'll want even more. You may'nt lose the weight but its a marathon.
i totally agree with you. complete deprivation is not a lifestyle change. you are doing great! you can totally see that you have slimmed down a lot. i think you have the right attitude. just keep making sure that it stays a treat and doesn't become a habit and you are actually helping yourself stay motivated.
I really enjoy watching your videos and this video made me feel alot better!! I have had a really hard time lately with my weight loss, I gained last week and didnt lose anything this week!! I have been killing myself the last few weeks working out and eating one hundred percent perfect! Today my husband and I are having a cheat day and I think i'm ok with it.. It is nice to know people feel the same way I do.... ;)
That was actually a very healthy attitude to take towards food. This is for life. If we don't indulge every once awhile well...that would just be inhuman. If more of us had this attitude then weightloss would be so much more less stressful.
my boyfriend and i are going out to dinner and a movie today and i'm going to eat bad and i know it! but i'm not freaking out about it and i know its only one meal. :)
I have to give myself a good time every now and then too. Last night I had a family night and had pizza and beer. I just limited myself so I didn't over endulge. Good for you. I'm glad you have such a great attitude towards weight loss.
I think you need to know yourself, you seem quite comfortable and strong in the ability to let go then get back on. I cant, i cant even finish the bits of pizza my son leaves, it would have an effect on me, but i know that. The way that is right for you, is the way that is right for you X
I just wrote about this very subject on me and my friends blog. In the grand scheme of our weight loss journey's...a free day once a week or so is not going to affect our weight loss overall, but it will allow us to enjoy our plans which in turn will help us to stick to them. :)
so true hun.. this is a change of eating forever not just a quick fix.. you can treat yourself.. its when it happens too often, that is when it goes wrong.... keep going hun.. your doing great..
i dont call it cheating i call it treating lol im about to have some chips and i dont feel bad about it bcuz i know im still on my lifestyle change a plate of chips is not going to make me gain back all the weight of lost , its going to forfull a craving ive had all day and make me not binge tonight , so in a way its a healthy thing lol , dont be to hard on urself you have to life in your body all your life - have fun with your lifestyle =) dont deprive urself !!
Hey it happens! I have been eating off the chart all week! Cheesecake factory, new york pizza, and fried chicken. All at work this week. I took my Flat Belly Food for lunch eat day, but I can always eat my food! Sometime Free Food is better! Give yourself a break and have fun, exercise, and congratulate yourself on a job well done for losing 60 and get back on track the next day!
It's true. Have a goal but still give yourself a little elbow room. I have also been struggling too. you are not alone. You are doing good. just keep hangin in there. You will get through these weird feelings. Take care.
What do you do as a job? i think i forgot or you never said... just curious :D I have a strange feeling it's a restaurant or bar? lol correct me if i'm wrong... you are right! have fun even if you're doing weightloss... life is great it should be enjoyed!
ur correct! im struggling this week as well. work and school and homeworks and gym and boyfriend is too much sometimes! wasnt able to go to the gym as much as i can, ate an eclair and its my bf's bday tomorrow soooooo not the best of week in terms of food. we'll do better next week! :)
you are definitley on the right track. depriving yourself is just setting yourself up. even when you go off track seriously.....you are still probably eating better as whole compared to how you used to eat.
100% right...I think sometimes we beat ourselves up for eating some "bad" food. We forget that we are not robots and we are allow to treat ourselves SOMEtimes.
I need to look back and see where we came from before we do beat ourselves up.
I understand getting down on yourself, the other day, I was feeling so terrible.. And right now I kind of feel lost! But I am working on re-focusing. Dont worry dear, you're doing great!
I know how you feel, Cat. I made today a 'free' day for me. It's easier to think of it as a 'free' day rather than a cheat day. LOL! You've come a long way and you'll make it to your goal! :)
In a way, you had a great week because you learned a lot about yourself. AND you shared it with us:-)
