I am going to school for chemistry, and I am going to start to work on a solution for HHO that is going to absorb the heat in the solution. hmm... it seems that if what you say about the ingredients precipitaling out of soution as the water is consumed is true that the automatic refilling should mantain the proper elecrolyte solution... and no further additions would be needed. so why carry that solution with you in the car? you should only need additional water... unless somethine other than precipitation is happening. like the chemicals being consumed also.

Interesting formula. Did I see you add 3 (not 2)caps of hydrogen peroxide? If not, would three be better? What do you use as an all around formula? We are using two coils of stainless 316 (not 304) marine cable. Works very well. Most people would mix a gallon at a time. I can convert yours, but do you have a good winter and summer formula to make a gallon? We were going to use KOH, but would love to use a safer formula. ART

sodium hydroxide in the concentrations used with hydroxy cells is minimal.
I use 2 teaspoons of NaOH w/ 2 liters of distilled water. I run my booster 11.3V, about 16 amps when cold (20 amps when cell is warm). Never a problem w/ burns, clothing, etc. IOW its a small amount; so if u use baking soda fine, but dont make it sound like naoh is the plague.
The cool thing is that our cells can use a variety of additives.

How about using Sodium Citrate? It is used in the food industry, so it is safe. I tested it in small scale and it seems to do just as good a baking soda with out any by products. Any feedback on this?
I have been reading that baking soda can damage valves and valve seals because its not a carbon based electrolyte? so some people have been using wood ash since its carbon based. can any one help me out with this as i am close to completing my HHO generator and dont want to damage my seals and such in my engine...
On your other video (Oxygen Sensor Voltage Boost) At First you say eight tenths of a volt will cut back the fuel but at the end you say it should be at one tenth. Since we are pumping HHO into the moter dont we want to cut back our fuel. Could you please explain this a little better. Thanks
Why the peroxide? Is the brown gunk eliminated or reduced? It seems like everybody has a different opinion of the electrolyte. I was planning to start with distilled water and salt but I'm concerned about chlorine production with the salt. Is it enough chlorine to be harmful? How about adding antifreeze for cold climes?

come out of your generator into a bubbler filled half way with gas. Install a fish tank stone if you will. Go through a second bubbler with water as normal. Now you have some fuel vapor to go with your HHO generator the safe way.
Are you alterering your oxygen sensor on the Saturn? I have a carb Honda to use as a test bed but will transition to my Saturn as things progress. I was told that MOTHBALLS will increase your gas mileage. No more that 1 ball per 4 gallons. More that that and your engine will start to get really hot, and you will do damage to it. I drive a 2006 KIA Sedona. I get 22 mpg hwy. Have had that same mileage for 2 years now. I can fit 19 gallons in the tank. I put 5 balls in 1 hr later they were dissolved completly(Tested 1 in a jar). I went 69mph using cruise 36.0 miles. I used 1.220 gallons. I GOT 29.5 MPG. HOLY AWESOME AS HELL...Van runs great

One question: What happens when It gets below freezing outside? I know that the reservoir could be heated up by engine temps and that one could store the reservoir inside...But what about those quick trips around town in -10 degree weather? Storing is too difficult and heating takes too long. Wouldn't some volatile solute be necessary? And wouldn't there be a high degree of probability that it would begin to vaporize once the engine heated the reservoir to ~100 to 110 Fahrenheit?

sorry to burst your bubble but in fact you don't have to carry with you a large bottle of KOH or NaOH. These substances won't decompose under the influence of current that your are applying to your cell, besides of baking soda and other rubbish that you are putting in. said something about NaOH or KOH that deteriorates Al very fast..that not the fact..because we don't use Al,in fact backing soda is worse..because it will deteriorate your stainless steel plates in time..how about that for damage?
use KOH in a maximum of 20% percent with distiled water only, adjust the amperage by the percent of KOH that you introduce in the cell. when the water level drops just add water, use a bubbler because like the backing soda, KOH vapors will damage your engine. if you are worried about the danger involved when handling KOH, use gloves, goggles, special clothing..whatever you and others want. Attention KOH must be introduced only in cold water, a small portion a time, stir and wait to coll.

Excellent video! One comment, though. According to Bob Boyce baking soda does turn into sodium hydroxide over time being used in a hydrogen generator. I don't remember the exact process, but I clearly remember reading that.
That question can be answered the same way why the public hasnt embraced nuclear power aside from disposal of radioactive waste. Nuclear=Chernobyl. Hydrogen=Hindenburg. Also the people that are into the 2nd law of thermodynamics. But this doesnt apply to that seeing how this is but a catalyst and not a primary source of power. Safety and lazyness is probobly the largest reasons why they havent adopted this. There is some maintenance but no more than oil changes etc. "conspiracy is another".
That depends on generator efficiency. If it leaches a bunch of oxides then about 1 fill of solution per 1 tank gas. If its clean and efficient then about 1 fill per 15 tanks gas. it totally depends.
Hello sm0ky40 when you develop your auto fill system did you have the line that fills your generator above the water level or below the water level?. I ask because of the vacuum draw from the engine, this might not be important with a full saturation unit. Is it fully automatic or do you have a manual button that has to be pushed when the switch signals?. Do you have an effi device included in your unit layout?. The operation is getting very pro--Nice!!
No button to push; the refill system is fully automatic and the line refills above the water level. If the generator is subject to direct engine vacuum, a valve must to used instead of a pump becuase the vacuum will suck the water in from the reserve more...tank. An effi device has been included in my system but it can reduce mileage just as easily as it can save fuel. I prefer to disconnect that circuit and rely on heat to lean the engine.
There is guy selling his hydrogen generator saying that he puts foil over the 02 sensor and that no engine lights come on and seems to do the job. Is that what you are doing by disconnecting that circuit?. Is your heat exchange device controlling condensate from the generator?. I know that one of the sensors on my vehicle works on temp to control fuel imput. Is their a optimum temperature for good gas fuel economy?. Nice to see your back!!
Hello Smoky, Question-- have you found that because the hho is heated from the heat exchanger it is reacting with the temperature sensor to better regulate fuel mixture on the lean side? Which direction has been working the best when it comes to fuel economy the effi or the heat exchanger?. Or should I say which is the least amount of trouble?. Where did you get the 108 degrees for efficiency? I think that you have something with this directions, I've thought the same.
Ummm this solution is for the electrolye in the generator and not to add to your fuel itself. If you did not get that from this video then you need to view it again. Also baking soda, vinegar and peroxide in the amounts that he is mixing costs about a dollar total if that. As for the negatives left on mine and waynedavisband I suggest that person leave a reply to it rather than bowing out because both statements are true.
your handy little tool that measures temp is only accurate to about 12" at a 2" circ or atleast most of them that I have seen if you read the paper work it will tell you
I used the 3M version and it was within a couple degrees from 6 feet. Depends on unit. They vary that is true though. Work great for exotherm on fiberglass.

I got the brown substance you mentioned when I used salt, and never with baking soda. In fact, the plates I used with salt had the brown gunk on it. When I switched to baking soda, it cleaned it right off.

Try this mix...
3 tablespoons baking soda
2 oz white vinegar
3 cups rain water
1 cup Rubbing Alcohol
2 caps Hydrogen Peroxide
although this is a winter mix, it does produce good amounts of gas.

The actual ingredients are:
2 Tablespoons Baking Soda
4 oz Distilled White Vinegar (a shot glass = 2 oz)
2-3 Cups of Distilled Water
3 Caps Hydrogen Peroxide

Nice video! But i wonder... would it be worth it to install a filtration system in the bottom of the generator so that the brown junk that floats to the bottom could be easily cleaned. you could set of a changeable filter and never have to worry about brown junk.

How about using Sodium Citrate? It is used in the food industry, so it is safe. I tested it in small scale and it seems to do just as good a baking soda with out any by products. Any feedback on this?

I have been reading that baking soda can damage valves and valve seals because its not a carbon based electrolyte? so some people have been using wood ash since its carbon based. can any one help me out with this as i am close to completing my HHO generator and dont want to damage my seals and such in my engine...

On your other video (Oxygen Sensor Voltage Boost) At First you say eight tenths of a volt will cut back the fuel but at the end you say it should be at one tenth. Since we are pumping HHO into the moter dont we want to cut back our fuel. Could you please explain this a little better. Thanks

Why the peroxide? Is the brown gunk eliminated or reduced? It seems like everybody has a different opinion of the electrolyte. I was planning to start with distilled water and salt but I'm concerned about chlorine production with the salt. Is it enough chlorine to be harmful? How about adding antifreeze for cold climes?

come out of your generator into a bubbler filled half way with gas. Install a fish tank stone if you will. Go through a second bubbler with water as normal. Now you have some fuel vapor to go with your HHO generator the safe way.

Are you alterering your oxygen sensor on the Saturn? I have a carb Honda to use as a test bed but will transition to my Saturn as things progress. Your sensor video was interesting and I was wondering how you monitored the results in the car. Are you using an Ox meter or just looking at what the sensor is sending to the computer via your volt meter?

I was told that MOTHBALLS will increase your gas mileage. No more that 1 ball per 4 gallons. More that that and your engine will start to get really hot, and you will do damage to it. I drive a 2006 KIA Sedona. I get 22 mpg hwy. Have had that same mileage for 2 years now. I can fit 19 gallons in the tank. I put 5 balls in 1 hr later they were dissolved completly(Tested 1 in a jar). I went 69mph using cruise 36.0 miles. I used 1.220 gallons. I GOT 29.5 MPG. HOLY AWESOME AS HELL...Van runs great

Sorry. I know im getting annoying. Zero's output isnt 2 Lpm. When the water gets to full temp Approx 140-160 degrees. He produces 3.3 Liters per minute.......Holy moly.

Smokey, how is your generator built? I would like to see its internal organs. I am building a generator based off of "ZeroFossilFuel's." He has great HHO production (2Lpm at 95 degrees 30amps 14.4 V), but at this time his testing only improved his mileage 12%. Needless to say that your percentage is higher. One question: What happens when It gets below freezing outside? I know that the reservoir could be heated up by engine temps and that one could store the reservoir inside...But what about those quick trips around town in -10 degree weather? Storing is too difficult and heating takes too long. Wouldn't some volatile solute be necessary? And wouldn't there be a high degree of probability that it would begin to vaporize once the engine heated the reservoir to ~100 to 110 Fahrenheit?

Smokey you do good,it's taken me 53 years to finally use that 8th grade chemistry class. And I agree with you about the caustic soda and lye being not so good for the environment.Let alone if it got all over the inside of the engine compartment.A truly operational cell would use no electrolyte at all.Any body that is using electrolyte is just making up for the inefficiency of a poorly designed cell,and screwing their results.

sorry to burst your bubble but in fact you don't have to carry with you a large bottle of KOH or NaOH. These substances won't decompose under the influence of current that your are applying to your cell, besides of baking soda and other rubbish that you are putting in. said something about NaOH or KOH that deteriorates Al very fast..that not the fact..because we don't use Al,in fact backing soda is worse..because it will deteriorate your stainless steel plates in time..how about that for damage?

use KOH in a maximum of 20% percent with distiled water only, adjust the amperage by the percent of KOH that you introduce in the cell. when the water level drops just add water, use a bubbler because like the backing soda, KOH vapors will damage your engine. if you are worried about the danger involved when handling KOH, use gloves, goggles, special clothing..whatever you and others want. Attention KOH must be introduced only in cold water, a small portion a time, stir and wait to coll.

Excellent explanation about hydrogen.I use salt on my electrolyser.The sludge attracted to the positive. Instead of vinegar I use sulfuric acid and the sludge went away. That question can be answered the same way why the public hasnt embraced nuclear power aside from disposal of radioactive waste. Nuclear=Chernobyl. Hydrogen=Hindenburg. Also the people that are into the 2nd law of thermodynamics. But this doesnt apply to that seeing how this is but a catalyst and not a primary source of power. Safety and lazyness is probobly the largest reasons why they havent adopted this. There is some maintenance but no more than oil changes etc. "conspiracy is another".

That depends on generator efficiency. If it leaches a bunch of oxides then about 1 fill of solution per 1 tank gas. If its clean and efficient then about 1 fill per 15 tanks gas. it totally depends.

Hello sm0ky40 when you develop your auto fill system did you have the line that fills your generator above the water level or below the water level?. I ask because of the vacuum draw from the engine, this might not be important with a full saturation unit. Is it fully automatic or do you have a manual button that has to be pushed when the switch signals?. Do you have an effi device included in your unit layout?. The operation is getting very pro--Nice!!

No button to push; the refill system is fully automatic and the line refills above the water level. If the generator is subject to direct engine vacuum, a valve must to used instead of a pump becuase the vacuum will suck the water in from the reserve more...tank. An effi device has been included in my system but it can reduce mileage just as easily as it can save fuel. I prefer to disconnect that circuit and rely on heat to lean the engine.

There is guy selling his hydrogen generator saying that he puts foil over the 02 sensor and that no engine lights come on and seems to do the job. Is that what you are doing by disconnecting that circuit?. Is your heat exchange device controlling condensate from the generator?. I know that one of the sensors on my vehicle works on temp to control fuel imput. Is their a optimum temperature for good gas fuel economy?. Nice to see your back!!

Hello Smoky, Question-- have you found that because the hho is heated from the heat exchanger it is reacting with the temperature sensor to better regulate fuel mixture on the lean side? Which direction has been working the best when it comes to fuel economy the effi or the heat exchanger?. Or should I say which is the least amount of trouble?. Where did you get the 108 degrees for efficiency? I think that you have something with this directions, I've thought the same.

Ummm this solution is for the electrolye in the generator and not to add to your fuel itself. If you did not get that from this video then you need to view it again. Also baking soda, vinegar and peroxide in the amounts that he is mixing costs about a dollar total if that. As for the negatives left on mine and waynedavisband I suggest that person leave a reply to it rather than bowing out because both statements are true.

I used the 3M version and it was within a couple degrees from 6 feet. Depends on unit. They vary that is true though. Work great for exotherm on fiberglass.
