Thank you very much, you rock, Kris and I will stay together a little longer, she knowing I will finish our project and.. getting it right the first time. :)
Weren't you suppose to also place a piece woodblock and clamp somewhere within the length of the shower pipe to prevent water pressure from causing the pipe to bang within the substance of the wall when ever the client is using there shower ??? correct me again if I'm wrong
Thank-you so much!!! We are in Canada and didn't see it when we were there last! :( Is this a fairly standard, easily accessible part? Would you have the manufacturer and part number info.? This part would make our project soooo much simpler!!!
@MsBoots1977 Yep This is a standard 2" shower drain connector. I get the one made by Otay. You can also find them online at Otay dot come. Otay Plumbing parts. :-)
Just watched your video. We are trying to install a fiberglass shower in the bathroom of our condo, and have no access to secure the drain from underneath. This video seems to be a way around this... But we were wondering where can you purchase those parts for the drain?
thank you so much..I just watched all 7 videos in this series... I am putting in new bathroom (not a remodel) for my mom with a walk in shower enclosure. She bought a floor display model and it came with NO instructions.. I am very glad that you provided the standard height for the mixing valve/plumbing assembly and the standard height for the shower head. and how to install the drain..after watching about 15 other videos-- u finally gave me some information I can use... thanks a bunch
Not a problem. There was a lot of good info there. But for a DIYer looking at doing that remodel, there are always extra questions. For example, how do you locate and cut the valve hole? I also noticed the use of two elbows to bring the valve forward, and assume it was on purpose, but not sure of how the actual distance forward was determined. Was there a difference between the depth of the old valves' position and the new? Thanks for the response!
Most everything was good, except it didn't show the cutting of the valve hole in the shower enclosure (if that needed to be done ... there was no explanation either way) or the sealing of the shower enclosure. I would have like more on that.
@mdh1953 Sorry i was just trying to cover as much as could at the time, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. this needs to be look into. Its good to know what the viewers want. again thank you.
