1. Rampage Jackson fought out of Pride and look at who he had beaten: He whipped the UFC allstar/the champion of champion Chuck Liddell twice. No offend, I like chuck. But he just couldn't handle Pride fighter caliber like rampage. If he were to fight Wanderlei Silva (a pride ex-champion) back in his good ole-day, he would have beaten as well. Hell no one could beat Wandelei back in his prime.
He always talks about how Pride fighters always lose when they fight in the UFC. Yes some do but Dana u bitch ur UFC fighters got their ass kicked when they fought in Pride. I think it comes down to the rules and organization. Pride fighter will have an advantage if they fight Prides way & the UFC fighters will have the advantage if they fight the UFCs way. But PRIDE is better.

Also, Cro Cop had physical therapy for several months after the Gonzaga fight (which he took far too lightly) and when he came back he took very little time to train before fighting Kongo...hell, for all I know the PRIDE guys very well could have lost even if they were in the best shapes of their lives but the *way* they've lost is what makes me doubt the outcomes...people just judge fighters on their last performance

1. Rampage Jackson fought out of Pride and look at who he had beaten: He whipped the UFC allstar/the champion of champion Chuck Liddell twice. No offend, I like chuck. But he just couldn't handle Pride fighter caliber like rampage. If he were to fight Wanderlei Silva (a pride ex-champion) back in his good ole-day, he would have beaten as well. Hell no one could beat Wandelei back in his prime.

He always talks about how Pride fighters always lose when they fight in the UFC. Yes some do but Dana u bitch ur UFC fighters got their ass kicked when they fought in Pride. I think it comes down to the rules and organization. Pride fighter will have an advantage if they fight Prides way & the UFC fighters will have the advantage if they fight the UFCs way. But PRIDE is better.

And 1 final thing (sorry for commenting so many times): they always say stuff like Rampage only lost in PRIDE because his camp wasn't too good, but while he was with that "horrible" camp he still beat Liddell even when he was in his prime so obviously the camp wasn't the only reason he lost. The cage also plays a factor because in PRIDE there is nowhere to hold your opponent against and the space is smaller so strikers had an easier time showcasing their skills instead of getting laid on

Also, Cro Cop had physical therapy for several months after the Gonzaga fight (which he took far too lightly) and when he came back he took very little time to train before fighting Kongo...hell, for all I know the PRIDE guys very well could have lost even if they were in the best shapes of their lives but the *way* they've lost is what makes me doubt the outcomes...people just judge fighters on their last performance

He says that they proved that PRIDE guys weren't as good, yet 2 of their champions come by way of PRIDE and every time 1 of their guys beats a PRIDE guy it's always by something that was in the power of the PRIDE guy to stop (like Shogun got tired against Forrest because he barely trained, he changed countries, changed camps, got married very recently before the fight)

Silva fought very few fights in pride, he cannot be regarded as a 'pride' fighter, and when Rampage left Pride for WFA he completely changed himself as a fighter, he changed his training/trainers/managers/agents everything.

I myself was originally a UFC fan ever since I was 13 or so, hell I am as old as a dinosaur now. But over the years, I switched to be a Pride FC fans because they have better fighters and more interesting fight cards. But Pride management sold Pride to the UFC because they are greedy. Fuck! They sold out their fans also.

Pride FC has better fighters and more interesting cards and promotion. Look at all the dramatic intro that Pride had and compare it to the UFC intro couple years ago. The UFC has been mimicking Pride's style for years. But Pride managements were too fucking greedy. They sold Pride to the UFC! Who is to blame? Pride FC, because they sold out their fans.

If Pride is NOT such a threat to UFC, why would UFC bought out PrideFC and NOT some show like KingOfTheCage? If UFC bought pride because the UFC wants to make bigger profit, then they would have run more show in Japan. Fans oversea are very supportive and Pride makes big bucks for all their events. The UFC don't run any Pride show ever since they bought out Pride.

Here's an idea: put all the top UFC fighters in the Pride ring in front of 70,000 fans and see how that works out. No getting caught up on the fence, no disrespectful crowd, no outlawed headstomps.
Calling Pride bullshit after spending millions to buy it out isn't really a good look, Dana. Try it both ways and then you can get some real rankings going.
Let's see just how bullshit Pride is when Fedor shows up.

My point from the outset was that it doesn't matter the rules, they are not so different that the results of the fights are tainted. Whether Pride or UFC, Cage or Ring, the playing field is level and the better man is proven at the end more often than not.
