  • deignated tag areas wtf... graffitis has no bounds.. this shit is here to make our mark on society..

  • TOY!!!! TOY!!!! TOY!!!! TOY!!!!

  • @zeeeek408 fuck u zeke i mean rog

  • graffiti is a crime AND art.

    graffiti belongs on the streets.

  • HA UR FUKN TOY

  • tu tags malllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Jay is a bitch ass whore" is on the wall a few doors over from my apartment, I'm on top of a store on the ave, and i always wondered where the common ground mural came from. Props to the maker for picking good spots to film (as well as one of my favorite local artists to interview) BUT wyman is not hard to get to. you live half a mile away and you don't know how to get around in that park? you went the looooong way.

  • it looks like you made the ppl u interveiwed uncomfortable

  • this was cool but that kids style sucked

  • Comment removed

  • its obviously a crime...under Man laws but an art form cuss of its complexity..and yes art isnt a crime but graffiti is...

  • Fuck "THE JOKER" Walt Summers Is A Bitch!

  • boriiiinnnngggg u deserve 2 get a beatdown u cant even draw shut the fk up

  • man, he didnt even get the concept of graff right, waste of my fucking time

  • Wow kid YOU'RE FUCKING BLOWING UP SPOTS AND WRITERS TOO?! You're a god damn idiot.

  • how nice of you to blow up the yards... gave the street names and everything... thats how you get fucked up kid.

  • jeeeez why is this guy sooo toy?

  • did the same sample track HAVE to loop through the whole 25 fucking minutes?

  • and one more thing.. did he just call a crew a "gang" ??????/

  • your are fuckin horriable, you need to wrirte graffiti in order to understand it dumbass

  • truth, its a lifestyle. the risk is all part of the game baby. sorry but this school project is GAY!!!!!!!!! plus you stole the name from graf site.

  • ORA ...NO TRACE KREW ...was here

  • If graff was legal the only thing that would change would be the amount of toy shit everywhere...The reason we get as good as we do is that we have to work at it...if you could spray any wall anywhere without consequence then most people would, only those who truly love their art risk getting busted for it........

  • that girl said graff on a tree is art and not a crime. most real graff artists wont write on trees or nature. that shit is fucked up and i think that is more of a crime than writing on a wall

  • Lol the guy who made this is a toy. Hahah. Dope ass documentary though dude. Take it easy.

  • I think the dude is pretty cool...He is definitely a talented artist. I thought a toy just means your art sucks.

  • Stabs A Toy, And A Publicity Whore, Hes Not A Real Writer, Fuck Stab.

  • 18:41 i write that but not there the other side of the world

  • good documentry but the thing at the beging sucks but its still a good vid you should make anotherone asking people if they graffitied before even with pencil on desks in school

  • yo i tag in dc.

    I WRITE "SCOOTA"

  • ITZ HIP HOP CULTURE NOT PUNK ROCK...

  • agreed

  • but in la alot of famous writters are or were skaters

  • word!

  • it doesnt belong to any culture

  • i did a paper based on this......ITS AN ART BABYYY!!

  • well when ur caught... ITS FUCKING BULLSHIT! the punishment doesnt fit the crime. for example 1 tag=$600 fine + 25 hours of community service. well thats the case in california.

  • word. plus in alot of cities the cops put more effort, money and time into catching taggers while drugs dealers and REAL criminals r tearing peoples lives up..

  • some of these sons of bitches already been caught in dundalk but still doing it they don't care about anybody or anythijng they think they own the world which they don't thier losers

  • most civilians don't know that a clean good peace take's atleast 4 years of practice it's more then just spraying you have to be dedicated before you even can make a clean throw up

  • stab's a clever guy

  • hahaha i know who's needles those were.

  • the one on the water tower got buffed with pink paint

  • Yeah I'm in baltimore and we go hard wit it for realz chaos44 vandel

  • graffiti is a sport!

  • decent documentary aside from the horrible letters done by the obvious non graffiti writer making the documentary.

  • look out 4 those deadly tag wars

  • shoot me bitch!!!!!! medz one! tbc vts!

  • you talkin about the baltimore vts with drips and chia and all them?

  • graff is ART!!!

  • Fuck all that hip hop shit people think that graff is hip hop there fuckin stupid you dont c fuckin millionares buying murals from artisits u c them buying 10,000 dollar rugs and vases n shit idk thatz what i think

  • shut up puto

  • graffiti means that u cant control the streets

  • stab tagged my dumpster

  • well aren't you the lucky one

  • graf has always been been apart of hip hop. breaker, bomber, DJ, MC

  • whast the difference between graffiti and a tag wtf?

  • toy.

  • ye prick i was quoting the documantry when she saids whats the difference between graffiti and tag ;l

  • i was saying the reporter was a toy loool, i dont even know why... i was tweakin.

  • fuk the copaz we hav to live in this world with thier buldings so we shud b able to make it look how we want it 2

  • "love it or hate it, it aint goin away"

-u dont need to know who said it.

  • all the ppl who don`t lik graff or thnk of it as a crime cn suk my dick, cuz all the the ppl in the U.S. if not the world have wrights to be heard, thts wat freedom is all about, so every1 can express themselves in many diff. ways, to us writers, 4 exampl is thru a can of paint, or markes etc. so if every1 can express differently why can`t we???

  • graf is both an art and a crime. It should remain that way. Fuck the police.

  • trains are better taged. i would rather see a criminal with a can than a gun... wouldn't you? worry a bout killers. tag shit respectfully keep it pg . and its great art just not on so things. stab im gonna check your work bro

  • what are some names of white neiborhoods in baltimore

  • cave mens fault we aint gonna stop paintin so cops need to give up the chase.

  • WHATS WITH THE CREEPY MUSIC????

  • dude..graffiti is art...its not vandalism, vandalism is throwing a brick through a window littering...

  • ppl have been writing on walls since forever

cavemen wrote all over cave walls it hasn't stopped since! just the taggin has evolved since then this doc is stoopid as fuck graff will never stop and baltimore seriously? WTF go to LA or NY

way more graff over those places

  • agreed.

  • GRAFFITI WONT DIE!!!!

  • Awsome!

  • baltiomre? isnt it a melos hometown? yea it is

  • sorry, graffiti and gangs are compeltely two different things, there crews, and their graffiti. And theres gangs and gang graffiti which is usually the shitty form that everyone hates, and has nothing absoultly to do with graffit in anyway

  • Awesome movie, but fuck makeing graffiti legal. That would take every aspect of graffiti and shit kick it into the curb, ther ewould be nobody out there to compete with, noone to catch you, no cops, no rush. No feeling of absolute amazment after you feel youve defeated the world after hitting your first roof top in the heart of downtown. If graffiti was legal. It woudl fucking ruin it.

  • thats a very good documentary but your graffiti that you made in the film is complete shit

  • its good that I found this cause im moving to baltimore

  • They already know about all of those places...they wouldn't have block painted the walls if they hadn't known..

  • i like the video and all....but you did some serious spot dropping though. You gave the police a pretty much step by step directions on how to get there

  • Nice very nice, Im doing a documentray on graffiti now..i LIVIN ATL NOW, YOU SHOULD HAVE WENT WOULD DOWNTOWN OR RAYNOR AVE

  • god, this is such a clip.

  • "what a difference between tag and graffiti"hahaha tagging is fuckin part of graffiti and you cant change it

  • Yo dont make graffiti legal. I like the rush and the feeling of making a new piece on a wall illegally. So to all you kids starting dont write over my shit. Graffiti is an art but it is also a way of getting up and having a good time. Graffiti is apart of the Hip Hop culture. Tagging is little hand styles mosly with markers or a single paint cans and graffiti pieces are like all the murals throwies wildstyles and other stuff.

  • that one song gets over looped.

  • at 10:43 theres an ec5 tag. this guy writes in my neighborhood alot.

  • aight so this wasn't a waste of time but he should have interviewed a bomber not stab who obviously don't, but its cool that he got a career out of it, still its all about BOMBIN AND THROW UP'S nigga fucking shit up fuck legal walls go throw up a white wall bitch Peac3!

  • that was quite well put together, props!

  • I love all graffiti but.. I dont really understand why people only like it when its a nice piece and they say they "dont like that tagging shit" its pretty much all the same thing just a piece has colors and 3d and what ever else and tagging is everywere and isnt the nicest thing to look at but its all the same thing!!

  • I have never and will never do a "Legal" piece all the fun is in the Illegal shit. Some art Bitch in my city sponsored a legal wall downtown, and all these wanabes that i never saw up would come out and spend hours working on some fucky ass wildstyle pieces I can't wait to go up there and pop a throwup over every signal one -Co2

  • i like the way you think man legal shit is nothin no skill no adrrenaline i love doin freestyle pieces on freeways and shit and out in LA were the heaven spot was created you gotta hold down but i love goin to legal walls and crushin them cause i know half of the people who get up on it wont have the balls to strike back haha

  • lmfao. '' what cultureis graffiti related to? the hip hop culture or the sk8er punk culture?'' Dumb fucks. GRAFFITI IS ITS OWN CULTURE. GRAFFITI IS A CULTURE A LIFESTYLE. A way of life.

  • foos that just do legals make me mad as fuck, cuz they sit there n brag about how good they on the wall but are afraid to kill the freeway, hit them billys, n drop bombs...they aint shit to me

  • There are alot of bombers these days n writers now dont noe howta respect pieces. U can bomb...but u cannot bomb aimlessly. Legal doesnt mean they suck...Writers doin legals just wanna have fun time with their crumate without having their ass busted

  • the quality of stab's graffiti is far above average compared to the graff where i'm from

  • So....it's basically a documentary on Adam Stab?

  • u know what, dope shit justs looks sic any where,if its fuckin wack then its just a waste of time, thats why i try my hardest to make my shit pleasing to the eye,toy shit just aint crackin

  • nice try

  • shit look at the guys hand at 5:30 - its glowing!.

  • Legal shit is just not the same

  • your completely right

  • legal stuff is good like graffjams to see all the legends next to eachother but its not the same thrill

  • d00d that stab on the water tower killz!! haha Nice!

  • Drugs lawl? addicts pay for herroin not paint..

  • its both I destroy shit all the time! then theres the pieces that are art but tags are fun as shit. you aint gettin no art work if it wasnt for a tag. Philly all day!

  • Nice video kid. Baltimore seems nice.

  • why is this guy showing his face ... hes got balls.

  • you got it wrong about the drugs thing. i find that offensive

  • do graffiti*

  • the first guy to talk said "PUBLIC" so umm thats all i had to saii

  • Stab owns all day. Greets from Highlandtown suckas

  • bmore all fuckin day

  • I love this film. Native to B-More,I'm actually an old friend of "Adam Stab", he's brilliant. I use to be down with him, "Vespa", and the entire "Phun House" movement. Thanks for sharing "ArtCrimes"! Very well depicted.

  • that was pretty good, although i have no idea were this city is, seeing as im from Australia

PS were all those little intro pieces ment to be SHIT?

  • Baltimore my beautiful city, man he did his diggin, i love walkin to the 29th street bridge and just soak up the amazingness of it

  • If graff was legal, I would have quit years ago. It's just more fun with the risk.

  • they got a spot on like luzerne and east side of fayette where there openin a punk club up and they said they want people to throw there shit up in there...

  • there openin this punk club on east fayette with all kinds of pieces on the inside, and there down w/ people to do there shit there, in think its called local highrise or somethin, its on fayette near like luzerne i think...

  • not enough KSW......MEARs sister

  • yea at the time of the documentaries production, under the bridge I dont remember seeing any tags from Mask/Seze, Daver,or Saken. Caspa had some stuff on the 83 bridge walls though..

  • If you jump on the light rail and ride through you can see some nice graffiti spots here and there. There are a bunch around the Woodbury area not to far from where this film was shot. One of my joys of riding the light rail in Baltimore.

  • I used to hit Graffiti Bridge @k@ Wyman Park. I'm surprised this guy didn't get Mask/Seze, Daver, Shaken, Caspa. I'll be starting a website soon with pics of Baltimore Graffiti.

  • the beginning sketch is brutal

  • veri true man it is addictive..its well a habit and not a hobby...the rush is amazin!

  • GRAFFITI IS A HABIT NOT A HOBBY

  • thats not even the innner city of baltimore what they showed just places with graff show the inne citty stuff

  • ppl got sum stupid responses..

  • i know were i come from my homies dont be fucking getting high on no drugs no one so trust me i know alot about a tru bomber and drugs neva eva been related to hardcore drugs

  • Wasn't talking to you man hahaha my bad.

Was talking to the person who made this vid.

Seems like he had to do a school project and just chose a random topic in his head.

  • your fucking talking to me kid

  • art is freedom!!!!!!!!! comp

  • what is he talking about? in 19:01 your not a real bomber if drugs like heroin is running thru your vains i feel sorry for the baltimore graffiti scene if those are involved

  • graffit is nut only just art its a lifestyle

  • how did the coffee shop owner find out stap wrote graff if its supposed to be you hidden identitiy

  • english?

  • honestly who gives a living fuck about wat they think just go do it

    repost if uj agree

  • stabs a toy

  • i wonder y that dont have baal,random,caspa or meca n there

  • i remember when i first saw the hellhole that was a life changin experience for me

  • wow stab got upz

  • so thats stab i got a tag near a few of his

  • Wow...

This is by far one of the best docs I've seen on such a touchy subject in quite a while.

However, I think it could have been exponentially better if it would have had some police interviews.

    Just a thought.

    Nice work,

    -Milo

  • yea...i completely agree. i tried to get some police interviews but it turned out that police officers cannot give interviews or even talk to any form of media without top down permission. If his boss would have let him, i could have gotten an interview with the top police officer dealing with graffiti in Baltimore city. too bad.

  • interesting. the better graffiti ive seen was in new york, north jersey, and philly.

  • it really depends on the type of graff your doing, im a graff artist myself and i know that tags are just about putting your name up so that means it is pretty much just a tag.... but doing a peice is an artform all the way.

  • im from md.and do GRAFFITI

  • you outta do this in LA cause in LA we got more graff its a bigger city plus because we et buffed so much we gotta do it on bill boards hanging upside down on free way over passes on the sides of buildings and its 1 of the biggest parts of our ccultre

  • just to say 1 more thing stab is good but..in LA we goy a crazier style and a thousand peoplewho do what stab does BUT RESPECT TO BALTIMORE AND STAB

  • stfu.

  • yea da Park is da shit i miss bmore so much

  • Carlos Almaraz, Judy Baca, Arnold Belkin, Thomas Hart Benton, Paul Cadmus, Robert Dafford, Leonardo da Vinci, Alasdair Gray, Richard Haas, John Anton Mallin, Andrea Mantegna, Peter Max, Santiago Martinez Delgado, Michaelangelo,Claude Monet, Roberto Montenegro, Juan O'Gorman, José Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, Raphael David Alfaro Siqueiros, Frank Stella, Rufino Tamayo, Titian, Alton Tobey, Kent Twitchell Lucia Wiley, Robert Wyland, Cro-Magnon Man

  • I think this is a well done idenpendent documentary. It covers the basics on baltimore grafiti and asks us. Is it art or crime?

I feel that its an art form, but if it was made legal it would not have the same meaning as it does today.

  • well done- too bad u did not mention any spots in bmore county- what happen to daver-syze or KSW?? Where can i get some tips or fat caps at?

  • daver-syze-cise is my brother and he's now a tattoo artist at gypsy's,but he lives with adam stab up in baltimore city.

  • Heroin and alcohol? What the fuck! AM!

  • YO Tuffy WAS the First!

  • yo one of yall mesage me if u from maryland

  • hey man i am a graffiti artist and is there any parts in catonsville?

  • thats cool but you should ST. LOUIS's FLooD WalL

  • WHAT APES IN JAIL?! i talked to that fucker awhile ago.

  • BIG UPS TO WHO

  • if you don't own it you should not paint. just ask first. some does look good but over all just look at the city its bad.
