i want ferrets! i think theyd be the perfect animal for me, because i used to be dissapointed when my cats didnt tunnel under the blanket, and their hyper and are very interesting and trainable!

Do you know ferrets can catch colds? PERFECT EXAMPLE. how bout u take ALL ur clothes off and roll around in snow and see if u are still healthy.. :/

@dreamera1 Yes, you are correct about the fact that ferrets may catch colds. You are incorrect about the ferret catching a cold while playing in the snow... Ferrets have a highly warm body temperature. To add on, ferrets grow their "Winter" coats during the winter. Therefore, the ferret will not catch a cold unless if it is allowed to play in the snow for a long period of time due to melting snow causing the ferret to soak. There you go, you just learned some more facts about Ferrets.

@dreamera1 Seriously? I'm not sure if this applies to you, but everyone i know doesn't have a thick layer of fur all over their bodies like ferrets do. Ferrets would naturally be in snow anyway if it wasn't for us keeping them as pets. We don't have fur because we've evolved over thousands of years and clothing is our "Fur."

@dreamera1 You don't catch colds simply from BEING cold. Ferrets are fine in the snow -- they have fur that protects them and traps their body heat against their skin, they're pretty much walking heating pads. It's fine. Nice of you to worry for the little guy, though.
