  • The "boring the hole in the wall" bit is the funniest damn thing they did.

"Then what are you doing in the depot??!!"

    "YOU PUT ME IN THERE!!"

  • I'm with Abbott. Mustard WAS made for the hot dog!

  • To anyone:

Suppose you're at an baseball game, you brought tickets to see Who's on First, What are you doing there?

  • To anyone:

Suppose you're at a concert. You bought tickets for the concert. Who's performing?

  • @Dac719 i dont know. what am I doing there? you put me there, now you got to get me out. I'm not buying an ticket. I'd go bye-bye.over there.

uhhh... i'd say i'll go to an britney spears concert? I do want to go, but i can't go. . XD

  • @123sweetgigimusic What's the matter with Miley Cyrus?

  • @Dac719 she's okay, but i'm not interested in her anymore. She worn me out..... lammmeee. Britney keeps me going. but why does this have to do with abbot and costello? I'm here for them...

  • @123sweetgigimusic I was trying to keep the skit going.

Suppose you weren't interested in Britney anymore?

  • @Dac719 oh okay. Then i'm gonna have to check myself into rehab. I suppose your gonna ask me another question? :D

  • @123sweetgigimusic Why? Why should you check yourself into rehab?

    (keeping the skit going)

  • @Dac719 BECAUSE!! you asked me suppose you weren't interest in Britney anymore. What part don't you understand? Besides, What's the matter with Britney Spears?. I don't support Miley Cyrus. I rather go see Britney anyday. What's the matter with Abbott and Costello? I sure could use an funny laugh, from abbott and costello as well. I'm trying to support Britney, and be here to enjoy this video. What else did i or not forget? Like i said, you put me there, now you got to get me out XD

  • @123sweetgigimusic There, you see? You're starting an argument again. Take it easy.

  • @Dac719 i'm just trying to keep the skit going. ;) Can't you give me any easier questions besides that?

  • @123sweetgigimusic Okay. Let's say you're in a restaurant. A waiter or waitress brings two dishes: on one side, you have mashed potatoes and gravy...on the other, a big juicy hamburger with fries. Now, which one do you eat?

  • @Dac719 If i choose one of them, your gonna ask why didn't i choose the other one. so i might as well, pick Both or none.

I think if i were to decide. I'd choose an big juicy hamburger with fries.

  • @123sweetgigimusic What happens to the mashed potatoes and gravy?

    (still keeping the skit going)

  • @Dac719 You have it, You need something to eat. now if i were to choose it's either both or none. I'd still choose my first choice. If you don't want either one just throw your lunch away, while i still have mine. make up your mind. You are the one that ordered it, not me. Why don't you just leave me alone? so i could enjoy my meal. You asked me an simple little question , that turns into an whole disaster. Can't we just call it quits and get this over with?

  • @123sweetgigimusic I give up. I try to keep the skit going and this is what it comes to. Some people just can't play the skit right, can they? I'll have to find someone else to play this skit with. Good bye.

  • @Dac719 if it was somebody that i know, more clearly, i would of played the skit right, but i just don't know you that well. sorry. who's to tell me that i am not funny and not have creative talent? because i believe i do. :)

  • aww i feel bad sence hes crying

  • This was so funny. A&C are great! Oh and MilesScheifetz that is not a laugh track. This, I'm pretty sure, was on their show which was performed in front of a live audience. Now why are you telling those people to be quiet? Are you saying you don't want them to enjoy the show? That will cause the show to become unpopular and many people on the show would lose their jobs? LOL

  • The laughter is added? Why? - this detracts from the clip.

  • after watching a few of their skits, it strikes me as being anti-improv. Instead of always saying "yes" they always say "no", which still creates a great comedic skit, perhaps more so. Classic.

  • The thing with the mustard factories happened, except all those factories was the entire manufacturing industry in America. And the person who did it didn't like paying 50c more for something made nearby.

  • I might use that to piss off some of my dumb friends :p

  • @bogsider16 The 'setup' was taken from a policeman's examination where they pose real-life problems and Costello was interested in joining. The questions were as ridiculous as the ones Abbott posed, therefore, "Suppose you bore a hole in that wall... why did you bore a hole in that wall?" After a while it descended into an argument which is hilarious!

  • @bogsider16 no you just have no sense of humor. leave us be =3

  • Quality. :)

  • Finally someone like me who dislikes mustard :d. Pure gold.

  • joe pesci sounds like costello and abbott would be frankie carbone.

  • Abbott & Costello proving the old adage-you don't have to be dirty to be funny. Two greats that cannot be duplicated.

  • Abbott: You don't even know what a husband is.

Costello: Yes I do. A husband is what's left of the sweetheart after the nerve has been killed.

They don't make jokes like this anymore. XD

  • @winxclublover best line ever ! ! !

  • this is what it's like talking to a hippie.

  • 3 people like musturd

  • The is great. A big argument over nothing.

  • is this from a movie and if so what is the name of the movie

  • @Assassin3395 This is a sketch from the Abbott and Costello show. I got the set from Ebay.

  • I can totally see George and Jerry having this conversation.

  • Abbott and Costello made it all the way to Cooperstown. I got the Baseball shirt to prove it. Love these guys, with or without mustard.

  • If they ever remade these skits I could see Joe Pesci as Costello.

  • @jwbigredd Yeah, except Joe Pesci would wanna kill Abbott! ;)

  • Before Norm Crosby sent Orson Bean howling in pain with his mangling of the language we had Lou Costello.

  • this is one of there best

  • What a comedy team. I think I grew up appreciating humor because of them.

  • NOW YOU GOT ME KILLING BABIES!?

  • hilarious LOL

  • 3 people cant laugh

  • They are so great - I love how Bud gets so riled up, he was the best! So funny!

  • Mustard and the hot dog go together. So let them go together, I don't want to break up any romance!

  • Mustard was made for cheese!

  • I shouldn't eat while watching them. I'm going to die!

  • i love how they make a little conversation into a big argument

  • @MrAndrew201

    comedy gold at it's best.

  • @winxclublover i have all there old tapes and movies they are true inspirations

  • @winxclublover to true lol

  • @winxclublover so so true

  • i agree with loue i like my hot dog with out musterd :D

  • @MrAndrew201 mustard was made for the hotdog lol.

  • Costello reminds me of Robert DeNiro. Never noticed it before. Classic comedy.

  • Totally agree, I miss the comedy of the old days, simpler, more clever and funnier.

  • aahhh the good old days when you could wear a hat and smoke at the dinner table.comedy was created from nothing.I think this type of comedy is where Sienfeld and Larry David got there inspiration.

  • laughing so hard i dont breath!!!

  • The classics are the best!

  • the first baby killing joke? ...maybe?

  • Today's comedians could learn a thing or 2 from these guys

  • 5:09 There is hope.

  • Another shining example of what Paterson NJ brings to our culture, Lou Costello!! such a funny funny man

  • This is every internet political debate ever

  • Love the way they spoke back then.

  • This was back when comedy was funny and clean. When the whole family could listen to it. Not like the trash of today. Comedy today seems more to shock or ridicule than be fun.

  • i dont have mustard with hot dogs either! i have ketchup! :P

  • @beavistv369 but mustard was made for the hot dog! LMAO

  • their comic timing was impeccable...look at lou's manerisms (fumbling his tie, dropping the fork,etc.). Probably won't see this teaming again.

  • @bgas98 that tie thing is kinda like oliver hardy

  • Bud Abbott, the greatest straight man of all time. There will never ever be another to top him.

  • CLASSIC!!!!

  • A&C were the funniest comedy team in history.

  • As funny as this is .. you know it actually happens in the real world

  • Wow. This is exactly the same type of arguing that the Teaparty Groups use.

I never realized Abbott and Costello were so political.

  • Way to be a dick, and try to politicize something that should just be a funny sketch.

  • thats because "cifier" is a Leftist and they have NO sense of humor.

  • "Look. You got me killing babies now."

  • This is A&C's version in Beckett's "Waiting For Godot!".

  • Classic!

  • Abbott is such a kill-joy. :P

  • Abbott is such a kill-joy. ;P

  • For every juicy steak you eat, you kill a baby. ):

  • thanks.. I'm so glad you came along and told me that.. now my life is complete.. bring out the steaks yahooooo

  • this is epic

  • love it lol

  • "I ain't gonna break up no romance!" Genius.

  • Wow, this is really funny and not brainless.

  • This is A&C's answer to Ionesco.

  • This comedy is crazy & hillarious.

  • "Mustard plaster..I don't know..." The greatest comedy team of all time on the greatest sit-com of all time!!!

  • Abbot and Costello never did a sitcom. What you're viewing was a televised version of just one of their many hilarious sketch comedy routines, which they would also re-enact in many of their movies.

  • @Rawk4Life they did a sitcom for two seasons on tv

  • HAHAHAHA epic comedy. why can't we have modern comedy as great as this.

    smart comedy.

this and stuff like Mitch Hedberg. Observasional humor. he was a genius i say!

  • hilarious..i love these guys

  • briliant magical and i loved watching all the great comedy acts, Laruel and hardy, Abbott and Castello, the Three Stooges, Amos and Andy loved hearing watching and having my family tell me about them.

awesome sheer genius and true classics, i teach high school and even my students love those videos when i show them.

    later gators.

  • lol very much excellent

how random is the end part lol

  • One word: Brilliant

  • Hilarious.....I wish comedy was as simple, yet as funny as this today. Simple conversations, instead of injury.

  • @Rokuhina well it's 2 types of comedy. one is slapstick and one is GOOD :D

  • LOL... they just don't do comedy like this anymore. Thx for sharing! =)
