We all know that martial arts in movies, 90% is used as a show off, coreography, etc. Sure in real life its no use, but most of the stars is well trained, they know that in a fight, were your life depends on it, one hit MUST neutralize your enemy in order to protect yourself. They know it, they are martial experts. Those who practise but do not follow the true disciple of his style, school or art, hardly will understand or get the most of the escence of martial arts.

Hope to see her in more films. This TV clip has really bad camera angles on the 1st 2 stunts. Director should be shot. Movie action are never really meant for real fights but I am sure these stars can fight for real!

...I don't think this works...She would get murdered in a real fight. It's not belevable. Tony Jaa isnt the least bit intimadating. But atleast he can do basic gymnastics and good XMA.

Well dude, I may not agree with you. Jee Ja uses Tae Kwon Do while Tony Jaa uses Muay Thai. I think it quite different. Muay Thai is always useful and powerful ( even deadly ).Have you seen Tony Jaa's demo for Tom Yum Goong ? many moves there are for self defence that passed on from ancient time in Thai history as it's use for King's royal guard to protect the king especially in battle field . So, Muay Thai is useful in self-defence or street fighting. Tony Jaa won't lose in real fight. lol

Obviously none of this fancy stuff works in a real fight.  It helps to be able to roll or breakfall if thrown, but backflips and other breakdancing shenanigans aren't going to help you. Taekwando is often viwed as style over substance. Board breaking shows skill and precision, but you're hardly going to have time to wind up those kicks if you're being rushed on the street. And if you fuck it up, you're fucked. Stick with something practical, unless you want to do movies.

Jackie chan never said that he will never backflip in a street fight. Knowing to backflip does not mean a person will involuntarily backflipping during a fight. backflipping takes a lot of skill and this girl should be appreciated for knowing this.

I do however doubt their efficiency in a real fight. You can watch videos of taekwando blackbelts jump and spin 3 times through the air before breaking a board with their foot. But watch any TKD expert past his 5th dan and he will recite his forms with the measured stiffness of a kick boxer.

Yes knowing to backflip will definately help in a fight, I have never backflipped but friend backflipped away when 4 guys came to jump and stood in a shaolin stance and they chickened out and told him that they will "see him" later. haha true story man, my friend was a good gymnast too.

A backflip can be used in a fight but very rare in a street fight but i have seen in it action in sparring matches.

No. Size, speed, strength, and aggression count for much more than martial arts, especially early on. I'll give you that if you're very, very into martial arts AND were male AND were of a reasonable height and build (say 6'0", 180 lbs) with five years of martial arts training you could beat any streetfighter you would ever face.
